Dell SE2416HX 23.8" Screen LED-Lit IPS Monitor

So far, only had it a week, this is a great monitor! Purchased my first one from a popular computer parts vendor because I felt it was a great deal. Then, the next day, Amazon had it for $20 less than the first one I purchased. It was at that point that I decided to get a second monitor. I ended up paying slightly less than $300 for two 27-inch monitors. I love the ability to have refresh rate at 75hz with HDMI cable connection. The Free-sync is an added bonus and seems to work well with my new graphics card. Unless you are a hard-core, professional gamer, you wont be disappointed. For normal everyday use and occasional, non-professional gaming, its a great value!

I work in IT as a database developer and I have used Dell monitors for years. They are solid, durable and they last for years. At work I have two Dell 27" monitors on a Windows platform and can appreciate the sharpness and clarity of the screen. When I replaced an 8 year old iMac at home with a Mac mini this year, I opted to go with a MacMini and two 27" Dell monitors as opposed to the 27" iMac and a 2nd monitor. This setup is great. Changing the setup configuration is easy from the buttons on the lower right of the monitor. Dells technology with monitors is superb. I recommend them.

Really liked the size and when connected to Mac Pro, it looks awesome. Glad i paid so much less compared to the Apple product. Looks good and frankly i can watch some of the movies on the monitor itself instead of connecting the laptop to my TV. Overall, excellent product.

I got this monitor on sale and it being a dell, you know it works good , Im on it right now. You cannot beat the price and quality of Dell monitors. It looks great and I have had no problems at all. The reason I bought this one is because my other Dell went out after 8 years of use it was a 24 " so this one is a little bigger . I hope it will last for eight years or more like my last one. You cant go wrong with a Dell monitor.

Was having a hard time deciding between monitors and was going to go with the U2417H model but in the end went with these. Very happy I did. At work I use the P series Dell monitors which are in between cost of the SE and Ultra series. These SE ones seem to have every bit the same sharp font, color as the P series ones I use. Not sure if they use the same IPS panels but its possible. These SE series lack some features but since I was able to get two for less than the cost of one "U" series 24" monitor I can deal with the missing features. I run dual displays using the HDMI and a DVI to HDMI cable which wasnt any more expensive than a regular HDMI cable. Pros: Excellent image, clear sharp text and colors. Excellent price ($99). Cons: Lack of features: USB hub, DVI and Display Port connectors, fixed height stand, non-VESA mount.

Ive been using this monitor now for around 2 weeks, and it just works like its supposed to. I have the same monitor for my office workstation, and it gave me no problems whatsoever for the 3 months that Id been using it. Thats the reason I decided to go in for this same model for my home. Admittedly, its only been 3 months (at the office), and 2 weeks (at home), and I will try to post another update after say 6 months, but upfront this monitor is just great. Its big screen makes it easy on my eyes, and there is no flickering or any other kind of issue so far. The controls for setting the brightness/contrast might take some people a minute or two to get used to, but thats no reason to deduct a star IMO. I hope I dont encounter any of the issues people with 1 or 2 stars have been reporting, down the road.

Great monitor for the price. For years, Dell Monitors have been a safe bet when it comes to nice clear text that you can work on all day long without fatigue. I was impressed at the combination of value and performance. This is a perfect size for comparing two websites side by side or comparing two word docs side by side. I enjoyed using it with some flight simulators.
