This easy to get right into action. Hook the stand base to the stand arm, click it onto the back of the monitor, and the physical structure is set up. Then hook up the power and connect the HDMI-to-HDMI cable, and you’re in business. My computer recognized the monitor without a single action from me, and up it came and I got right back to work, in less than five minutes. The hardest part of the operation was sorting all of the old monitor cords behind the desk. Note, though, that this monitor has two inputs for HDMI, but there are no ports for the traditional (blue) video/monitor-in plugs. Note that there is no height adjustment for this item. The bottom of the monitor is fixed at about 4 ¼” above the table top. And there is no swivel; you have to move the whole thing, base and all. The only adjustment you get is a total of 26 degrees of tilt, 5 degrees forward and 21 back. For the price I would think adjustments in all dimensions would be a standard feature. This may well figure into your buying decision, if this monitor will be used for multiple users, especially small/young children. I notice that while the screen size is the same as my old monitor, that the profile of the new monitor is much smaller on the desk, noticeably so. Documentation: The setup card is easy to follow and totally clear. You get a standard pamphlet on safety and regulatory information, in English, French, and Spanish. I even got another one in Portuguese—excelente! One thing that did not come in the package was an owner’s manual. Having been using computer monitors for about 35 years now, pushing the buttons and navigating the personalized settings was easy enough, but for someone not so knowledgeable, the lack of a simple user’s manual would be a problem. Price: At approximately $160, this is not a casual investment. The qualities will have to matter to you. Bottom Line: This is a nice addition to your home or work desktop setup. It’s a Dell product, so you know you are getting excellent quality and product support.

I got this to replace my two year old monitor. Its the same size as my old monitor but it takes up less room which is great for me - extra desk space is greatly appreciated. It does have low reflection and its very easy to use. Everything is intuitive and I didnt need to look at instructions to be able to adjust the settings and use it immediately. The speakers are good compared to comparable screen speakers. Theyre on each side of the screen so you have stereo sound thats decent quality. The display itself is very nice. It has the "comfort view" feature but I never use it. The reason being Im a photographer and its very important for my display to have accurate colors. The comfort view eliminates the blue spectrum thereby giving everything a yellowish cast. Its easy to turn on and off but I still dont use it even when Im done with my photography work because I feel like my eyes have to strain more when its on the "comfort view" so I dont use it. Otherwise, its a great screen. Ive been using it for a week now and have no complaints at all.

So, in addition to using this for a traditional desktop monitor, we use our computer monitor to watch netflix/firestick and such in bed at night. This is bigger and higher quality than my current monitor, so I was eager to try it out, but I should have looked more carefully at the specs. My current monitor has a remote that controls volume and even has a sleep timer which makes it great for this dual purpose. This one does not... it requires pushbutton control at the monitor, so not convenient for this purpose. In theory it may time out and trigger on (weve tried to test this but lose patience in waiting long enough), but we dont always shut the computer down, so that isnt super effective either. We also find the minimum volume on the monitor is too loud for our preference. That said, the image is sharp and clear and the edge to edge image is really nice. If you dont have any need for anything but a traditional desktop monitor, youll really like this product, but so many people watch streaming services through their computer now, in multi-function rooms, I think the addition of a monitor to serve computer/TV functions is really desirable.

I gave this to my son to test for me--he uses it for school and for gaming. He likes the bright and clear colors. The stereo sound is strong and not tinny. There are different color options with multiple calibrations available as well. The stand is sturdy and easy to set up without too many moving parts. However, there is no swivel or height adjustment to the stand. The monitor tilts but nothing else. But that was the only complaint he had about it. The price is affordable for home office or college dorm.

This monitor was easy to set up. From box to desk only took about twenty minutes, and the resolution is fantastic on it. Whether watching movies, light gaming, or general office work, the colors are rich and the sound is good for listening to music while working. The audio bass is okay, nothing fantastic, but above average for the price range. It does have a slim profile reducing deskspace and tilts for better views. Overall its a good monitor and worth the price.

This is a good sized monitor for my desktop computer. The monitor has a very clear and crisp screen that gives an excellent picture. It’s very easy to set up. The screen tilts up or down. The screen quality is excellent, and it’s even good for watching Netflix, etc... and it is easy on the eyes too. The sound is great—much better than my old monitor. This is a big upgrade for watching movies and videos on my computer.

The installation on this screen was very fast and simple. The picture quality is amazing. I went from a monitor that was probably 7yrs old to this and the difference is astounding. I cant believe I went this long looking at that old thing!!
