Built my first ever gaming desktop from the ground up and needed something that would do my 1080Ti justice. The display is beautiful and the monitor was easy to assemble. Definitely has a low profile and I am currently running the computer and 5 gaming consoles through it (PS4, PS3, Wii U, Switch, and Xbox 360), all of which look amazing. The speaker jack is definitely convenient for this as well, because it allows this monitor to act as my all in one gaming setup. Additionally, it is very good about detecting when I am switching between the different inputs to get to the right one, whether it be the computer or HDMI hub. My one complaint is that accessing and changing the settings on the monitor was a little confusing. Part of this is because all of the controls are done through buttons on the bottom of the monitor that line up a little funny with the options that pop up on the screen above them, and part are just because the menu is a bit confusing. It would definitely benefit from something like a remote.

Going in I didnt associate Dell with high build quality but was happy to find myself mistaken. Although Im taking advantage of the VESA mount compatibility, the included stand is built well and offers great range of motion. Some reviews are critical of the small function buttons but I prefer the unobtrusive design. If you need a power button that also functions as a night light, look elsewhere. If the buttons are too dainty for your bear paws, basic OSD settings (brightness, contrast, presets, etc...) are changeable through the optional Dell Display Manager software. The four USB peripheral ports are appreciated and the stands included glory hole makes for easy cable management. The headphone and audio out jacks are a nice bonus as this monitor isnt defiled with the 2 watt tin cans other monitors laughably call "speakers". For a TN panel the colors are great. I have it mounted next to a Huion Pen Display with an IPS panel and the colors, on close inspection, are only marginally better on the IPS. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the contrast and black levels. Whether the faster response times offered by the TN panel is worth the lack of better black levels is a decision youll need to make. That said, the color banding known to haunt previous iterations of Dell gaming displays has been greatly reduced and, with calibration, nearly eliminated. Overall, a great gaming monitor.
