arrived in a timely manner and works well with gsync compatibility.

I’m just now getting into gaming, so I’d been looking for a better screen setup when this Dell 1440p 144hz dropped into my lap. I’d been using an older hand-me-down monitor with a 60hz screen, so this was a definite improvement in nearly every category. Overall the graphics, colors, and refresh rate have been pretty amazing, so I’d gladly endorse the product (especially at the ~$180 price). Now, let’s get into the nitty gritty. Pros: Like I said this is, in my opinion, a pretty great option for a lower cost gaming monitor with 1440p and 144hz. Setup was extremely straightforward, and once setup it looks really nice and sleek (especially compared with other gaming monitors). I’ve been using it with my Xbox 360 and PS3 systems and have been overall really happy with how both look - the graphic movement is always smooth and quick, and lag time is much lower than I was used to. For a TN monitor, I have to say that the colors and contrast are surprisingly good - not quite IPS status, but definitely good. While I haven’t yet up the different monitor profiles, I’m actually really excited about that feature, as I tend to have different setting preferences for different games. Movies and videos also look great on the screen. Cons: As can be expected, the colors of this cheaper monitor aren’t as good as the more expensive options. If you’re willing to shill out $700, you’ll ultimately be getting better quality. Another slight downside is that as a TN monitor, it doesn’t have quite the viewing range that other IPS monitors have, so you really have to be viewing it at a specific angle. This makes it a bit difficult to play games with multiple friends or watch tv on the monitor from a distance. Another downside is the lack of Gsync (supplemented with Freesync). All in all, though, I think those are pretty decent tradeoffs for a cheap monitor that’s good in so many other areas.

I am super impressed with this monitor. My current daily driver is an Alienware 240hz, and while the high frame rate capability is nice, I feel like 1080p just doesnt cut it. This monitor is the best of both worlds. 1440p at 144hz? Sign me up. A higher-end AMD card is probably best to take full advantage of the monitor, but its not required. You can still get a decent picture and frame rate provided you change some settings. A recent Nvidia update apparently allows g-sync to operate however I have yet to fully test this. I should, seeings as I am equipped with a GTX card. The monitor comes packed well, and is super easy to put together. The base has a built in screw with handle to attach, and the monitor itself snaps into place. I really like the ease in which you can adjust height. Its counterbalanced in such a way that all you need to do is simply slide the monitor up or down. You also get side to side and swivel adjustment. Initial set up is going to be on your preference, but the on screen display is pretty easy to use and guide images are present for each button. Im not certain if this will be my new daily driver yet, but its certainly a nice looking panel and I keep catching myself going back to it.

This has amazing picture quality and has worked great for my design work on my MacBook. I dont play many games but do play Portal and Portal 2 sometimes from Steam and the quality is great and so smooth. But my favorite part is the colors on the display. I usually get Apple Cinema displays which i think are not available anymore; but this is a pretty good comparison when it comes to colors the colors are vivid and similar to that of the monitor itself. The monitor is only 1920x1080 which is kind of low (hard to believe I now consider that low when used to that was the best). But I do wish it had slightly higher resolution (2kish) but for an HD monitor it is great and using Illustrator is great on it.

This is a quality product from Dell, which in my opinion is usually hit or miss in their products. The monitors are usually pretty good, the computers and laptops sometimes iffy. This monitor is one of the good ones. You do have to use the overdrive functions to get it to the advertised 144 hz, and change settings to get the 1 ms response time, but its a minor inconvenience for those features. The Freesync is pretty much a must, and even the Nvidia drivers will now let you take advantage of it. The only downside is it is a little small these days. I have a dual arm desk mount with a 27" and now this 24" next to it. It would be nice to have the same size, but it works well enough for my purposes.

This is a very clear, bright monitor. It has two USB ports in the back of the monitor that you can use to connect to your tower and have this as basically an expanded hub. Since the ports are in back, they arent conveniently located (I think having them in the base would have been a better choice) but if you are connecting an external drive as a set-and-forget backup this will work nicely. This is a gaming display in HD, meaning there is no VGA port on the back so if you have an older computer you are out of luck. However, the HD display is gorgeous with excellent response. I dont think youll be disappointed when you plug this one in and start playing.

Doesnt meet its promise of 1ms response time. If you set response rate to fast (5ms response time) or superfast (1ms response time) and try to get 144hz it will cause severe ghosting during gaming. I tested several games. The ghosting is so bad it is hard to describe. It makes apex legends unplayable. In order for you to stop the ghosting you have to adjust the response time back to default (8ms). This defeats the purpose of a gaming monitor. You may as well shop for 75hz 1ms gaming monitors that gets 1ms response time. I purchased two of these monitors. Both had the same issues on two different machines, two different graphics cards, and several different cables (HDMI and display port cables). Ghosting aside, I also felt that the image quality was poor. Even looking at my google chrome shortcut made me feel like I had a monitor or pc from early 2000s. Not crisp. poor colors. Washed out. My recommendation is" do not purchase". The price is too good to be true. Spend the extra money to get a quality 144hz 1080p monitor. Not worth the purchase. Returned to store.

Sometimes we use this for gaming, although my family usually likes to play on the regular tv. I realize that serious gamers like the response time of the computer better than a console, but we just like to play casually. However, if someone is into playing a game, and someone else doesnt want to watch, they usually end up on the computer in our family room. This is great for that. Big enough that it is a nice experience watching on it, but not so big that sitting near it makes you turn your head constantly to see everything. We do have speakers already set up, and you will need them as this does not have them internally. Our other monitor doesnt either, so I dont think that is such an oddity. For gaming, my son likes it very much.

I got the 24-inch Dell monitor (24 INCH-S2419HGF). It performs well and its easy to set up. It has a convenient adjustable chassis and it comes with an HDMI cable. Hookup and assembly were smooth and the settings were intuitive (including redder to bluer light). As for the display, response time is fast. My only complaint is that I cant say the colors really pop. Still, a solid choice for gaming or regular video/film/streaming. Dell is usually a good value and this monitor is no exception.
