Ive had dual screen setups for many years now but i find that for what i do at home this large size single monitor is perfect. I bought it mostly for photo editing, and its absolutely fantastic for it. I ran my datacolor spyder calibration on it and it didnt make any appreciable changes to how it looks. At this point im using it with factory srgb settings when i edit photos. But Ill probably run the calibration again in 6 months or so. Lightroom and photoshop at full screen are fantastic on this thing. As for other programs, i almost never run anything else full screen anymore. a word editor on this thing at full screen is ... well, ... ridiculous. But im sure a big gnarly spread sheet would be nice on it. Im used to having multiple windows open at one time and spread over two 24" monitors. On this i run them floating and can just as easily switch between them without the annoyance of the division between monitors. And I actually have more desk top space now. I do like that i have the option to rotate the screen to portrait, but honestly, even editing portrait oriented photos i dont really feel the need to do that. It has lots of features that i dont use, like picture in picture, and the KVM switch. So i have no feedback on any of that at this time. I do like the little puck as it does make navigating the setting menu super easy. But for me its really an unnecessary feature. If your someone that switches from CAD to editing photos, to editing video multiple times a day its probably pretty nice. Just click the button assigned to your preference and your good to go. The SD card slot is nice and accessible, as are the 2 USB slots. I guess the only negative I have is the built in speakers. I dont know why companies even bother to put speakers in monitors. They always, ALWAYS, sound horrible. But there is a headphone jack with the USB ports if you want to use the monitor as what essentially amounts to a headphone extension cord. If youre a gamer im sorry, but i have no feed back for you. But for photo and video editing, this is a great choice. I would so buy this again. And i wish i hadnt waited so long to get it in the first place.

The colors are gorgeous, the monitor is everything I wanted it to be - except that somehow even knowing that this model had a firmware problem they are still shipping monitors that flash to black every few minutes. How is this possible?

Great picture and color, a beautiful display with no defects. The monitor itself is bigger and heavier than many, but I dont mind that as I dont need to move it around. Two things to note: If youre planning on using the PIP feature be aware that the sound is only available from the primary source, you will not be able to select the audio for the PIP display. I found this disappointing. The only other negative is that the ECO Sensor power saver mode drives me crazy. BenQ desperately needs to allow the feature to be tweaked by a timer. If you kick back to watch a video youll find yourself impatiently waving your hand at the display when it goes black. Those things aside, I am very happy with my purchase. Price performance wise, this was a great replacement for my old Apple Thunderbolt display as I migrate to the Windows world.

If I am going to pay $700+ for a monitor . . . I need to get more than 13.5 months of life out of it. All of a sudden, in the middle of some serious work projects that demanded several all-nighters (long hours), my monitor died on me. It was very stressful since I was in the middle of a project with the definitive timeline. Had to run to Office Depot and buy whatever they had in stock to get through the next few days to finish. NOT happy.

I needed a monitor and I cant justify returning it but I wouldnt recommend this monitor - particularly not at this price. My old Benq had a much more accurate and vibrant color to it. I have them side by side and can clearly see this isnt as good although it is the same price of the discontinued model. Ive tried adjusting the gamma, color, brightness, contrast etc- it just isnt as good as my old screen. (Oh and the new menu system is unnecessarily tedious. I think Ill try another brand next time.

I have an apple 27” Cinema Display that’s almost 10 years old. This monitor does have higher resolution and clearly shows more colors, but if I had to choose from both I would choose the Apple. The Benq is too dim. Whites are not true white. Maybe is the glass of the Apple monitor that gives it that beautiful sparkle, but the Benq has a cheap plastic “matte” anti-glare screen that just makes the monitor look and feel cheap. I’m disappointed that a 9 years old monitor looks better than this even with lower colors and lower resolution. No I would not recommend, but at this price point I really think is a fair trade of. My next monitor will cost no less than $1000 to keep it fair with my 9year old apple monitor.

Holy moly, this is a killer screen. Blessed be Wirecutter. This is the first non-Apple display I’ve purchased since I upgraded to a Cinema Display from a tiny 4x3 Dell abomination. Colour accuracy is on point. Pixels are big enough that I can run OSX at 1x and still read the screen. Windows 10 looks great on this display (can’t believe i just typed that). Five star screen. It’s well built and feels solid. The included base is pretty big, but it does the trick and is flat enough to put stuff on. I highly recommend pairing this display with the AmazonBasics Monitor Stand . It’s a helI of a combo. Why only four stars? The hardware is fantastic, but the monitor software (the embedded UI) is barely usable. It doesn’t always respond when you touch a button. It takes a second or two to wake up if you just closed the menu. The UI will enter different states based on what’s going on. If you wake the monitor by touching a button on the display, you get one set of buttons. If you click a button on the puck, another set of buttons. Sometimes you only get monitor input options. Sometimes you get presets plus the “go to the regular menu” button. It’s rather confusing. The KVM concept is nice in theory, but it’s really clunky in practice. Buttons on the display and on the included hoTkey puck (i see what you did there Benq) are customisable, but only for single functions. Want to switch USB source _and_ monitor input source? It’s going to take a few clicks to switch the USB source and then a few clicks to swap the input. All in all, a great display, but I wish the embedded software was better.

I like the color quality, the screen size, and the high resolution. Surprisingly, though I wanted a 4K monitor, it turns out that at this size, thats slight overkill (though its way better than lower resolution monitors). But the high color quality and wide viewing angle make this a good monitor that Im very happy with. I also like the programmable puck, and the PIP function (which I only use occasionally, but can be handy). One thing I dont like so much is the bezel (it may protect the screen, but in low light, it also reflects the screen - I wish it werent so shiny.

Like many others, my PD3200U is brand new (as of about 4 days ago now) and suffers from this flickering problem. And like many others, I will be returning this product. It is unfortunate - great picture, but that flicker is terrible. I adjusted HZ settings, switched cables and cable types. Same deal.

The screen is beautiful and crisp - I also own a BenQ 32" 2650x1440 monitor, which has been great, but the 2k is not as nice on the eyes as this 4k. The price is good for such a large and clear screen. Id definitely buy it again. No flicker problems as reported in other reviews - that seems to be a problem with an older version, based on what I read on the BenQ site. The bit that is disappointing is the "KVM switch". Its not quite a KVM switch - it would be, if it were possible to configure a single button to switch between 2 K(eyboard)V(ideo)M(ouse) sets. Instead, you have to configure video switching and USB (keyboard/mouse) switching in 2 different buttons, and because there are no clear toggle options, you really need 2 buttons for each type of inputs/outputs, which would require 4 customizeable buttons - but, oops, there are only 3 buttons. If my description is confusing, thats kind of the point. This product is soooo cloooose to being a hit - it has a beautiful 4k screen, and the ability to switch between 2 sets of upstream USB ports, (and of course the ability to switch between video ports) but it doesnt have the ability to switch between video inputs and USB inputs at the same time.
