This is an excellent monitor (I am not a gamer, so I cannot speak to gaming). Great color. Great resolution. Fast enough response time for watching 1 minute stock charts. Im not as fond of the Eye Care feature as I thought I would be (and the reason I bought BenQ). I like the little app called f.lux much better. Also, beware, the BenQ monitors do not work with all graphics cards. I just bought a 2nd BenQ monitor and this is when I realized that the EVGA GT 710 2GB DDR3 64bit Single Slot, Low Profile 02G-P3-2713-KR graphics card, which supports 3 monitors (3 ports), does not work with BenQ. Its too late to return this 27" (which Ive been plugging into a USB port with an adapter), but Ill definitely return the new 24" that I just received since it doesnt work with my graphics card. All that might sound confusing, so Ill say that I have 4 monitors, 1 Dell, 1 ViewSonic (both work great with the graphics card), a Gateway that just died. Those were the 3 I had plugged into my graphics card. The BenQ was in the USB port. 2nd BenQ to replace dead Gateway. Now I know that I need a different brand than BenQ. Sigh.

Nice size useful inputs but the video image is not what I expected from a 1080P monitor. My cheap TCL 32" HD ROKU TV has better video and it is only 720P and cost less. The speaker volume is very low even turned to max. I am not an avid gamer. I have a couple of flight sims (Microsoft CFS 2) that my husband plays and I like the Fun House games (Granny In Paradice, etc). These games do not look good on this monitor. A bit fuzzy. I sent the monitor back the same day I checked it out. It did not meet my expectations from BenQ. I have owned several BenQ monitors that were excellent quality. This is not one of them.

i remember when 1080p was the gold standard. got 2 of these monitors for my home office set up. theyre fine. surprisingly light. and for the purposes of work these are great. streamed a movie last night, but there was a noticeable lag in frame rate or something, im no expert. i have a UHD monitor on my laptop and so i think some of it may have just been giving my eyes time to adjust to the lower resolution. good enough and relatively cheap for what I need, but if youre a big video streamer/gamer, you might want something else.

Assembly was quick and easy; plug and play, didnt have to load anything and my system is 7 years old. May have to play with the settings but the screen is washed out..looks like a light whitish haze ; not super sharp. Tried adjusting the settings but there was no real level of improvement; reset to factory settings for now; many settings available. Cables are short, only about 4 feet, which forced me to have to re-arrange my placement to get the cables to comfortably fit. Monitor would not read the HDMI connection despite the cable being brand new and I placed it three times making sure cable was inserted properly; kept giving me a "no cable connected" error. Only way to get it to hook up was to use the serial cable; again, also short for my setup..monitor isnt in optimum position on desk due to cable length.

Decided to move up to a larger monitor as my eyes seem to be shrinking with age. Very nice monitor, all displayed seems sharp enough and text is easily read. Price was very good. Unit was easy to set up. Kinda weird getting used to the location of the power button, as one previous reviewer said. Unless youre an avid gamer this monitor should do you good. Dont worry about all the tech-talk.
