this monitor has DDC-CI functionality, so i am able to use an app called NativeDisplayBrightness to change the brightness via the F1/F2 function keys on an old mac mini. the app wont adjust the contrast, but there is another app called Backlight-DDC which you can use to adjust brightness/contrast via sliders. slightly easier than using the OSD and monitor buttons. as for picture quality, its not perfect, but its pretty good. 2560x1440 resolution has much more viewable area than 1920x1080. there is a bit of light bleed on the bottom edge (see attached photos). its mostly not noticeable unless youre in a dark room, the brightness/contrast cranked up, and the picture has a black area like letterbox at the bottom. no issues with refresh rate. color is excellent. audio is average, but typical of monitor speakers. they are rear firing, so most of the sound will be directed away from you, unless your desk is facing a wall to reflect the sound. overall ive been pretty pleased with this monitor.

Whenever this monitor starts up, or, when the computer comes out of power-save mode (no image) it takes a full minute for the monitor to stop slowly blinking off and on. This is VERY annoying. I have no idea if there is an adjustment to fix this. Also the resolution is pretty below average for reading text. For the price I paid, I expected crisp text. Thirdly, the monitor settings switches are in the worst place, and get in the way when moving the monitor. Fourthly, the monitor adjustment menu is cryptic and weird. There was not a word of what the options meant in the accompanying paperwork. Very disappointed.

I bought this monitor for my new PC for its 2560 x 1440 resolution. The black color started to go awry after a few weeks, visible with black text against a white background, see attached photos. This was in Excel. The black color of the text goes blue / brown. If you move the Excel window the blue goes brown and the brown goes blue. See each picture after moving the window. I sent it back for a replacement which I received. This worked fine for 2.5 months, then the same thing happened to the replacement. I was going through the re-replacement process again when Amazon asked me to troubleshoot which I did, but to no avail, however they did put me in touch with BenQ who recommended a new version, the GW2765HT. I have received this and so far so good. And Amazon have kept constant contact with me to ensure BenQ are fixing my problems.

I researched the heck out of a monitor for my home office and didnt want to spend $500. this seemed to have the best reviews and features for the money - and I was right. Very nice looking monitor thats exactly the right size for my desk and telescopes up just high enough for my neck. The picture quality is one tic less than perfect (its not a retina display) but Ive used it for hours on end with no eye strain or difficulty at all. Sound quality isnt great but thats definitely not why I bought the monitor and has no impact on my experience or rating. Overall highly recommend this.

I have this monitor set up with a launch PS4. The picture quality is extremely crisp and I haven’t seen any dead cells or pixels. The height adjustment and swivel are a pretty nice bonus as well. The sound quality is utter garbage. I knew this before purchasing and I planned on using a headset any time I was using this monitor anyway, so the sound didn’t really bother me, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Purchased cyberpower pc and this monitor. I play games at 1440 fps max graphics and it looks very good on this screen. This screen is actually a little bigger than I expected, but it not too big to sit in front of. I use its adjustable height and tilt all the time. The build in speakers are so quiet they might as well not be there at all. The screen is matte and not glossy fyi. Worth the buy. Recommend

Did you know Windows 10 has a built in blue light filter? I thought this used some kind of new LED technology that emits less blue light but nope it just makes everything yellow just like any other blue light blocker. My monitor has no menu option to turn it off and my monitor had advanced features locked by default which required a factory reset which was not stated in the manual I learned it myself. The built in speakers made an electric feedback noise whenever I moved my mouse and they were too quite anyway. It does have a nice picture with good colors, a display port, and I really like the adjustable stand.

I always thought the blacks were too light on this monitor but that is not an issue now. I just died on me. It had been flickering for awhile but I was assuming it was the KVM I was using. Turns out that now, it was the monitor. It was ok when it worked. Like I said, I would have like darker pictures but it was fairly cheap.

The displays video quality is good. It doesnt have as large a viewing angle as the Dell 14" it replaced, but its acceptable. What isnt acceptable is the useless audio quality. Theres almost no volume though HDMI or DisplayPort, even when both volumes are maxed out. Why did BenQ even bother adding speakers to this display? I almost returned this monitor because of the poor audio quality. If they released this display with such bad audio, what other issues lurk inside? As others have mentioned, the build quality feels cheap. I would suggest getting the extended warranty.

Super easy setup! 1 screw to turn to attach the base, then plug and play! Works with both MacBook Pro 2016 and Dell Latitude 7285 via a HDMI/USB-C cable (bought separately) in mirror or extended display modes. Im only giving it 4 stars because the display resolution doesnt quite match either of these laptops, but its good enough and beats squinting at a small screen all day. BTW if Windows wont detect the monitor as a second display in Settings, try Windows key + P, then select the display arrangement you want.
