Bought the first one in December of 2015, right when I got my gaming PC. I had no issues with the pixels or light bleed, although after a year I see the slightest amount of bleed on the vertical edges of the older monitor. Its barely noticeable though, and it has had no effect on my ability to use the monitor. Bought the second one this week, and as you can see, I have no issues with it. This is the setup 20 minutes after I opened the package. I havent had the yellow tint issue either time, or dead pixels, or bad light bleed. The new monitor matches the color and one of the first, and Im more than a little pleased with my new second monitor. It was a warm welcome into gaming 2017 style. For video editing? Ehh, you can find something better, absolutely. For gaming or general use? I couldnt recommend more.

- No true black color depth. Everything was a desaturated grey, with detail loss. - Colors are incredibly saturated, even hyper saturated, which made natural lighting hard to accomplish without lots of adjustments. - Monitor feels flimsy and cheap. It wobbled a lot when trying to adjust the screen angle. - Came with a dead pixel in the center of the screen. Save the money and get the VG245 model. This is better for a cheap workstation monitor

I was using a single Samsung 22" LCD (S22B310) for years and wanted a multi monitor setup with slightly larger monitors, better response time, and at least 2x digital connections per monitor. I needed to be able to connect 2x computers to them and switch inputs built in (KVMs for 2x computer 6x outputs are expensive and rare). I have my personal main desktop used for gaming, productivity (office, video and photo editing, etc) and watching videos. I also have a Asrock N3150 Beebox I am using to remote connect to work (low power, vesa mount and 3x digital video outs built in). At the price I am very happy with these ($129, $109 with rebate on 2...will update re: rebate). On paper they are perfect, 2ms response, 24", 1080p, hdmi and dvi connections, no power brick, standard power cables. In use they arent perfect but fit my needs and I would buy them again. First the colors at the stock out of the box settings are washed out a bit. The built in presets for color profiles are nice but only 2 of them i found to get the color pretty good. The bezel is a little thicker than id have liked for a triple monitor setup (and vs some more expensive offerings from ASUS), but its not a deal breaker for me. The stands not as terrible as some reviewers mention but also not great. The biggest issue i have with built in stands is that side by side they vary enough to notice (about 1/8 inch or less shorter or taller vs each other on a level desk). I plan on getting a triple monitor vesa stand any way so not the end of the world. The good is that for a bit over $300 I get 3x 1080p monitors with hdmi and dvi connections. At 24" they make my old 22" monitor seem puny. The response time is great, doubt i could tell the difference between 2ms vs 1ms. Color/brightness once calibrated is great and the viewing angles arent bad. With this setup i went from needing to switch between all of my open stuff to wondering how im gonna use all the screen real estate. If you only game, a larger 2560x1440 or even 4k monitor is probably gonna be better (most games dont work well with 5760x1080, mostly FPS benefits). However the space to work with for productivity is awesome. I was originally looking at the ASUS VN247H-P but for the extra $150ish total it wasnt worth it for me. If built in speakers, dual hdmi, 1ms response and a thinner bezel are important to you though they are likely a good step up. My main desktop runs a GTX 660Ti and some games like Batman AO (30-50fps) and Diablo 3 (50-60fps) are very playable at basically max settings. Other games like Star Citizen are likely not going to be enjoyable without me upgrading my GPU (waiting for the new pascal GPUs in 2016). Lastly, built quality seems great. 3 monitors and not 1 dead pixel. Packaging was good. I also like that they come with what seems like a excellent warranty, of course only time will tell if they deliver on the promise...which i hope to never need.

I have 2 of these monitors currently. They were bought years apart. I love these monitors. There is a slight backlight bleed on the edges but under normal use you will barely notice it. As a gamer the thing I look for in the reviews is whether or not there are comments about ghosting. Im happy to announce that these monitors do not have any noticeable ghosting even when playing first person shooters like Call of Duty and Battlefield. 23.6 - 24 inch monitors are the perfect size of a monitor that is about a foot and a half from your eyes. The pixel density is just enough that you do not notice individual pixels on your screen. The only gripe I have with this monitor is that when cleaning I somehow peeled off part of the Asus logo and its kind of sticking out and it gets caught whenever I try to wipe the monitor. PROS: - No noticeable ghosting - Great pixel density - Vivid Colors - Vesa mount compatible - Wide viewing angle - Stable stand CONS: - Menu navigation could be better - Thick frame -

This is decent. I dont use for anything but my second monitor on my gaming rig. I originally got this for twitch so I could have my obs streaming options and stuff on another screen and it worked great.Its been a while since Ive done that cause of PC issues. This is a okay screen for some light gaming and viewing the internet / working etc. I would not recommend it for gaming though as I would recommend something with a 1 ms response time, it makes a difference a big difference in gaming.This screen doesnt have anything that stands out from others its just a nice monitor. I do like the back of it pretty thin d it does not collect dust like my other Asus I use for gaming. The swivle at the bottom is a standerd one i dont really like that to much but thats because right next to it the gaming one has up and down and tilt which is great for a standerd stand. The gaming monitor by Asus I am talking about I believe its called VG24 something something but its a 1ms response and 144 refresh rate so I recommend checking it out if your wanting a gaming monitor or just look up 1ms 144hrtz monitor cause theres probobly better ones now! Dear ASUS, I bought your ASUS VS247H-P Display monitor BECAUSE OF A REBATE that was TO BE HONORED with the purchase per all signage and product details on Amazon. Not honoring this PROMISED rebate is FALSE ADVERTISING and deeply disappointing. NO EXPIRATION date was in any way shape or form on Amazon at the time of purchase for me to see. All I saw was an ACTIVE rebate of $20 PROMISED to anyone purchasing the ASUS VS247H-P Display. I will be sharing this text on multiple social media platforms to help others steer clear of your FALSE and MISLEADING Rebates by ASUS on Amazon now and in the future. ASUS monitors without the promised rebates are no deal. I recommend that others look for monitors elsewhere and steer clear of ASUS- THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Way to go ASUS winning good will and new customers! Shawn M

This is a slightly upgraded version of my other monitor so I knew what to expect. Its crisp and clear, not much to say except that and I love it. It was packed very securely, no chance of damage. Came with a DVI cable - an HDMI cable would have been a nice inclusion. There is one little problem/feature a buyer should be aware of. The monitors built-in menu allows you to select input from HDMI, DVI or VGA. Be careful never to switch to an input unless you have something that can actually connect to that input, because if there is no active input the monitor immediately goes into standby mode and the menu button stops working until you do connect something to that input. If you intend to use the monitor on two computers and switch back and forth, before you shut down or disconnect the active computer you have to remember to switch the monitor over to the other one first, because you wont be able to do this after disconnecting the active one.

Maybe too soon to write a review, I just un-boxed and and set up with 23" monitor to run with my MSI laptop. I was stuck between this ASUS monitor and a HP one and I ultimately chose this one. So I read a lot of review that the color is off and whatnot, which I can agree with, there is a slight difference between the monitor and my laptop but i dont really care as much as other, I mainly go this monitor to help with multitasking and studying. Im and engineering student and sometimes homework is a bit troublesome with only one display and of course I wanted a larger screen to game with. I have the monitor hooked with the HDMI connection and so far I think this is a great monitor, I think that the color contrast is better than my laptop. Ive played Fall out 4 on it and the refresh rate is fast enough to keep up with the game. The only thing that Im slightly pissy about is with the seller. When I first looked at this monitor it was only $109 then 2 hours later when i was ready to make the purchase, the price was increased to $119 and now a week later, the price is $147. Im attempting to do the $20 dollar mail in rebate but the ASUS company doesnt make it easy on you, you have to sign a form, give a copy of the invoice, and original UPS and serial number bar codes off the box. There is no option to submit online, you have to mail the rebate in. So if the rebate comes back, that means I got this monitor for $99, which in my opinion is a great deal for a newer lcd monitor with an hdmi hook up.

This monitor replaced a 19" second monitor for my laptop and provides a significant amount of additional horizontal real estate. I am extremely happy to have this extra width to use with apps such as Eclipse or even OneNote, which seem to thrive on extra horizontal space. I wont be going back to my 19" monitor. The Asus VS247H-P is impressively bright, and I had to adjust the brightness down to about 50% in order to blend better with my laptop and 3rd monitor. I have not noticed any bad pixels (no formal testing however) and light bleed is not noticeable to me, at least at this lower brightness. With regard to mounting, I am using my own VESA desk mounts rather than the stand supplied. Perhaps it is my specific mounts, but the screws that came with the monitor stand mount were too short to grip the VESA mount threads. I had my own but I was slightly worried about using them in case they were too long. Fortunately, they were not long enough to damage anything. I dont recall where I obtained these 4 screws, but I believe they may have originally come with my VESA mounts. The $20 rebate (for the 24") process requires a few hoops and probably is not worth filing if your time is valuable, but I did it and hope to receive my $20 in 6-8 weeks. There is an expedited online process for a $2 fee, but that felt a little like bait and switch so I settled for using a stamp and envelope. EDIT 2014 AUG 1: I just received an email notice that my rebate paperwork had been received. Good. Rebate status: Denied! BAD!!! NOTE: I am meticulous in submitting rebate documentation and have NEVER had a problem with any rebate before. Stated reason for denial: "Copy of Receipt/Invoice or Packing List" missing. It was not missing (see below). The email even supplies a link to show scanned images of the documentation which I sent and they received, and the final page shows the packing slip complete with my Amazon.com order number and price etc. I have no idea what more they could want or why this was denied. They offer to allow me to resubmit, and I do have copies of everything and can do so (for the price of another stamp and envelope) but that would be pointless as it would be an exact duplicate of what I already sent and for which they obviously dont want to send a $20 rebate. I am furious and taking off a star, not for the monitor, but for the lousy Rebate service -- deny first, see if they complain, then credit them- -- this is highly unethical and I dont like it. I will be happy to update this review later if the rebate center replies to my email replies. The ASUS rebate processing 888 number was useless robot which basically served as a firewall. Meanwhile I have emailed Amazon customer support as well as submitted a dispute with my credit card merchant for the original charge. Dont mess with me, Asus!

Update: Monitor began to flicker after about 16 months of use. Tried a new HDMI cable, reset monitor, changed refresh rate and tested the port on laptop. Sent the monitor back to Asus for repair. Thankfully, they covered the shipping both directions. Received the fixed monitor only to experience the same problem. Called support again. Start the process over. Asus is again covering shipping both directions. Seems like a lot of money for a $130 monitor. I have two other Asus monitors that I use at my main office. This one is used at my 2nd office location. Its a great monitor (at least when its not flickering). Jury out. 16 months and done?? Will provide another update when fixed again. I use this in an office setting and do not play games on the monitor. Its a great solution for business. Text in Word, Excel and my various software (including PDF documents) is clear. Its about 96% of what id like to see in a business monitor. I just switched to a HDMI cable and that seems to be a bit more clear. Im using this as my main monitor and my laptop as my other monitor. Im not sure about the quality of the speakers as I use my laptop for sound. Calibration is easy and I recommend using your calibration tool in Windows to get yours dialed in. Im using the standard mode, 47 brightness and 67 contrast. That is different from what I used before the HDMI. Its a good balance on my eyes - and Im staring at my screen for up to 16 hours a day (I run two businesses). I likely find a way to add another one of these. Im happy with the size (I wouldnt go bigger), value and quality. Yes, the base is a bit flimsy but how often do you touch your monitor?
