ASUS VS197D-P 18.5" WXGA 1366x768 VGA Back-lit LED Monitor

This monitor does exactly what I needed it to, but not much else. I originally purchased this as a basic monitor for my new gaming PC. It works well for basics but doesnt handle graphics and contrast well (which is ok since I planned to use my TV as my main monitor anyway.) Pros: 1. Inexpensive (main reason I purchased) 2. Very simple and basic operation Cons: 1. Only input for standard serial monitor input 2. Picture is oddly colored in multiple settings 3. Picture tends to grain out and have horizontal lines depending on what Im playing. (I know this is the monitor and not the video card because I also see the picture on my TV which looks AMAZING.)

I have the 23 inch Asus, and thought that this would make a solid addition as a "second screen". Boy was I wrong. This monitor looks absolutely awful. Text is near impossible to read, and everything looks really off. Before you ask, yes, I tried changing settings and resolution within windows and OSD Menu to no effect. Im spending the extra 50 some-odd bucks to buy another REAL monitor from Asus. Pros: Cheap Cons: Everything else

Ordered two monitors. One worked just fine - the other failed and had hatches across the screen and began flickering intermittently - fifteen days following the expiration of the return period.
