Just putting this out there because this took me hours to research and find a way to activate freesync. You can enable Freesync with Geforce graphics cards. First you must go to your monitor menu>go down 5 tabs until you reach the spanner icon>navigate to DisplayPortStream>change to DP 1.2> go to Nvidia control panel>Set up Gsync

Its a beautiful 4K monitor and a decent bargain. There are two tiny flaws. One flaw is that it sometimes doesnt wake up when the computer does and you have to do something to the little joystick control on the back to force it to wake. Which leads to the second tiny flaw, the little joystick control on the back. Other companies who make monitors have figured this out and have implemented a series of buttons, especially a dedicated and simple on/off button. Using the little joystick on the back to both turn the monitor on and off as well as navigate through the various menus is anti-intuitive and cumbersome, and the joystick is overly-sensitive to what direction youre pushing it. If you push it in even the slightest wrong direction youre suddenly selecting something you dont want. And sometimes, even when pushing it in the correct direction, you still somehow end up selecting an option you didnt want. For me, the quality of the image and price outweigh these two tiny flaws. And, Im sure Ill get better at the joystick the more I use it. I hope.

I bought this for my Macbook Pro, which has an HDMI port built in, to use at home. Resolution is extremely poor. It would give me the 3840x2160 size, but it looked awful and the next size down option was 1600x900, which was ALSO low resolution. Tried upgrading the cable, that did nothing. I use other 4k monitors in my office with zero problems or clarity, so I know its not my video card. I feel sick about my purchase because you really cant return these things once youve opened them.

I bought this monitor as a prelude to my Xbox one x. Even now on my regular Xbox one it looks fantastic! I couldn’t be more satisfied. I am a competitive gamer and play a lot of fast twitch shooters. My kd’s are generally above 2 in most games. I can not live without TN panel monitors such as this. I was looking for 4K plus FreeSync to work with Xbox one x and this fits the bill perfectly. Not only does it look awesome but the game plus technology allows for a reticle to be placed on screen digitally for shotgunning and quick scoping. Overall I am completely satisfied by this purchase and would recommend for any gamers that play competitively.

Recently decided to change my gaming setup from a tv to a monitor when I discovered this 4k model from Asus. Was a little nervous at first coming from a 49" 4k Sony tv but that went away as soon as the Asus powered on. May not support hdr like my tv but the image quality is stunning. Ive noticed no input lag and my games are buttery smooth. Couldnt be happier with it

I have had one month with this monitor and it’s fantastic. I have only used it for gaming, specifically with my PS4 Pro and it looks really good. The only detail I didn’t like is the base, it doesn’t give you many options to play with, it only goes up and down and it’s very limited. What I did was to buy a flexible arm and it worked great with the monitor. I definetely recommend this 4K monitor.

I bought this monitor in preparation for the Xbox one X and this is my first 4K monitor I have owned. It feels the same as my BenQ XL2730Z when I am playing FPS shooter games (Destiny 2, Gears of War 4, COD Black Ops 3 and Titan fall 2) on my Xbox one S. It has a clear bright screen with no dead pixels, good controls and no noticeable input lag. I would have preferred a HDR gaming monitor but they wont be coming out until next year. I would totally recommend this gaming monitor if your on the fence about buying this.

Great gaming monitor. Not as good as the really high-end stuff out there but for less than half the price of those its hard to complain. I am using it in a multi-monitor setup with HD (not 4K) monitors and the difference is night and day. That said, the picture quality (specifically color) gets much worse at even a relatively small angle to either side - I use it in on a desk sitting right in front of it so its not an issue for me, but if you wanted it to double as a TV and would watch it from further away that could be a problem.

After hours of research for a decent monitor that fit in my budget to replace my iMac (to be paired with a Mac mini), I settled on this monitor based on reviews. Even after using the same calibration device Ive used successfully on my old iMac, colors came out super orange like people had bathed in sunless tanning lotion. In addition, there was a noticeable vignette when viewing the screen. I was rather disappointed overall with the quality compared to my old iMac to where Ill likely be returning the monitor & spending a couple extra bucks to get a new iMac. Another point to address, when in sRGB mode, you no longer have control over screen brightness, another huge factor in photo editing to avoid poorly exposed images. Overall, this monitor might be okay for gaming, but Im not recommend if youre in the photo / video industry.
