I want to start out by saying that this is a great monitor. I had a 4k 40" Samsung TV with HDR I was using but I moved it to the bedroom because it had issues with any stationary images. Even the background of my PC which changes every 1 minute would stay "ghosted" for a little and fade. And the one that was the worst of the images was very problematic. So I had to get something. I wanted a monitor with 4k, HDR, etc. But I want to wait a bit for the technology price to come down and quality to stabilize. But I was not sure which monitor I wanted. A 1080p or 1440p. I figured I wanted IPS but TN was possible. And I was sure I wanted a full 8-bit panel. No 6 bit + frc. I did a lot of searching and found that this monitor, although TN, was full 8 bit. I figured I would take the chance on a TN panel even though I was using a Dell I borrowed from my mother-in-law to save my 4k TV. I was shocked by this monitor. The good and great: -2 HDMI -A hold in the back of the stand that has a cover for running the hdmi wires in a nice clean way. -EASILY adjustable stand that takes up minimal space -Colors and viewing angle: *this is big. This monitor, at least the one I received, produces fantastic colors. I compared it to photos I had worked on and printed and was getting a match. And the calibration was showing that it was producing fantastic colors as did the eye test. Viewing angles are awesome. From the sides it has a good distance until it shifts slightly reddish to me. Now, from the top down there is a major shift but really that is not an issue for me as I never stand and look down at any monitor. And the bottom view angles, when I tilt it up or have hit set up higher are amazing with very little color shift if you get a major tilt. Sitting at a desk this usually is never an issue. -Brightness is awesome. Now I use it in a darker room but even when it is bright in the room at times it looks very bright. I actually had to turn it down a bit. -The monitor has great controls. I really like the little stick that is on the back for navigating around and stuff. If makes switching inputs fast and easy. -Great response time and no blur at all in games. Cons/Bad stuff. -Viewing angles are not IPS good. Even though this does not bother me it can be a negative for some. Then again, if you are sitting in front of this or only at a little angle it is great so fine for me.

A week of use works perfectly, is a great monitor. Previously I had bought a monitor BenQZowie RL series and at 2 weeks of use began to show dead pixels, the settings is easay to use but a little compicated to reach the perfect settings colors. Youll notice a big difference when playing FPS games. In its exterior is simple but with a great style. 3 weeks from here I will update again. Update: It have been more than a month and still works at 100%. Im really satisfied, there is a high probability that I will buy a second one. Update 03/05/19: Almost have been 1 1/2 years from the buy. It works like the first day only detail have 2 pixels dead but they are really small that neither the notice. Only when its the screen black you can aproach really close and you can see the dead pixels, but for others parts like speakers work perfectly. A year and a half I can still say that I made a great purchase.

Finally a gaming monitor for my consoles and PC. I could of went 144hz but I was on a budget so I got this! Freesync in effect, controls feels fluid with the responses, did some minor color adjusting, other than that I am very happy!!!!!!

Really great color and responsiveness. The hookup was easy because it came with its own HDMI cable. You dont have to buy your own HDMI or VGA cables for this, it literally comes with everything you need to start using it immediately.

What a great monitor for the price. Only thing that could have made it better would be G-Sync instead of FreeSync and thats only because Im running a GTX 1070. I think otherwise, this monitor is a perfect match for any 1080p video card to get max FPS. At 144hz I have noticed no screen tearing and response rate is amazing. Very very fast. For a $300 monitor, this has got to be the best bang for the buck I have found. Love the colors as well. With a little adjustment to R/G/B I was able to get very bright and vibrant colors. Tilt and angle are also great. Screen can be raised pretty high with the base and the built in cable management slots are very nice. Will be posting a video on YouTube with a full review. Very happy!

Im sure the monitor is fine for games, however I bought 4 of these for a work setup. Issues: 1. Text is semi hard to read on these, Ive read numerous articles and its hard to nail down a single cause. In order to make the text more readable Ive had to resort to turning down the gamma which then makes colors off when viewing photos and such. Adjusting brightness, contrast, and RGB do not seem to help much with the text readability issues. 2. Asus does not provide a Windows 10 driver so you are out of lucky trying to fix #1 or get windows to properly register your monitor, you have to rely on your nvidia video card software to recognize the monitor. 3. These monitors tend to give me a headache. My old HP and acer IPS monitors did not. At 75 HZ this shouldnt be happening. 4. The limit the blue for eye strain only works on ONE mode. Change the mode and you loose your eye strain settings. Turn it back on and you go back into racing mode. This is really a defect in design. Youre locked into racing mode if you want to limit eye strain. You cannot use RGB mode or any other mode in conjunction with the eye strain/limit blue settings.

If you want a more technical review, there are plenty of them already posted. But here’s the bottom line: this monitor is nice as hell and I won’t be gaming on a TV ever again. I’m on an Xbox One X, and even though it’s not 4K, the refresh rate/ms is a game changer; literally. I haven’t used the volume at all so I can’t speak to it, and my only real “complaint” if you want to call it that, is that it’s difficult to get the power cord to run thru the base stand for that hidden look. Not that it can’t be done, I’m just impatient and I have big hands so it was difficult. I already recommended this monitor to a friend and he bought the same on in 24” and loves it.

Downside: Quality issues. Bought two and one of them was dead on arrival. It worked fine at first but when gaming the display started to show artifacts in the form of colorful vertical flickering snow. After trying many different troubleshooting techniques, I had to give up because the monitor eventually stopped displaying anything at all. It was turned on and plugged in, but would only display a black lit up screen. Furthermore, whenever the monitor got into a bad state it did not fix itself and none of the buttons were responsive. The monitor basically deteriorated in the 2 days I used it for, and at the end it had a overly bright pixel. I would recommend you purchase with caution as quality control must be non-existent if this panel made it to my doorstep. Upside: The second monitor I have works great and as expected. The stand is top notch and the picture quality is satisfactory, especially for the price.

I got this for my ps4 pro and all the reviews said this is perfect for consoles. Wow, were they wrong. It has horrible motion blur, to the point where its unplayable with fast moving scenes. Its pretty, and clear while still....but thats it. Ive scoured the internet and have not found a resolution to this. Until its fixed, steer clear of this " gaming monitor " for your ps4 and find something else. I will save you the pain and the 200$ I spent on it. Ill update my review if I can resolve this problem or if I can get help from the manufacturer. Goodluck. Happy gaming.

I am not a "gamer" and so cannot speak as to how this monitor compares to others in the gaming realm. However, for the last 25+ years, I have often stared at a computer screen for 8 to 14 hours a day. The last 10 years, I have mostly used a 15" laptop. Lately, I have begun having more eye fatigue and more frequent/powerful headaches. Hoping that a higher screen refresh rate might help, I began searching for a monitor to use with my laptop. After a good bit of research, I settled on the Asus VG245H. So far, I could not be happier. The screen is huge after years on a 15" laptop screen. The colors are better, the 75 instead of 60 refresh rate is wonderful. The different pre-set color modes give a nice variety that should fit many tastes. I actually find myself switching between 2 of them depending upon what I am doing (although not a serious gamer, I do like an rpg now and then!). The monitor stand is excellent - easily slides up and down to find just the right height; easily swivels between landscape and portrait mode; rotates on its base so that you can angle it just right if you (as I do) have it slightly off-center on the desk. So far... A+!
