The monitor worked great until the last week of use. I recently returned a 1440p asus ROG because of the same issue I’m having with this monitor. There’s a defect that causes a LINE down the middle of the screen, almost as if the panel is slightly offset a pixel or two vertically. I have to turn the monitor off to reset it. Sometimes two or three times. I’m also getting a center screen duplication around the borders/bezel of the monitor. Literally, whatever is displayed on the center of screen, it’s like that is scaled up 100% and is pictured as a border to the overall screen. Super annoying. For $500, and my 2nd Monitor into the asus ROG line, I thought I’d be taken care of. Unfortunately my window for return expired last week and I can’t go a different route. Had this monitor not had those glitches and defects, it’d have been way beyond my expectations. 240hz is nice, the quality of the actual stand and cable management is nice. The design is cool.

GPU: GTX2070 Ive owned multiple 1920x1080p screens in the past but usually office type ones and never for gaming. The difference in 60hz vs 240hz is something that you have to visually see and is absolutley distinguishable. I see a lot of reviews saying that they wished for better RBG Colors, better "coating", etc for the price. For what you pay, for this monitor is pure performance to get the best our of your response rate & hz refresh with g-sync. If you play any sort of FPS, this is by far the best monitor that will give your visible difference in results. I still use my 60hz and 240hz monitors at the same and its night & day. You wont be at all "dissapointed" buying this monitor. Just a hint, you will need to do some initial configurations with each game you play. Take 5 minutes to make sure your Geforce Control Panel all are set to 240hz and games resolution/refresh rate are set as well. 9.5/10

I was so very worried and concerned with placing an order for this monitor with a lot of reviews stating they had a monitor with dead pixels, missing parts, mishandled package, and just flat out not working! Well I am here to put your mind to ease. - 1st though there is one minor con to this monitor fresh out the box but then again most monitors are like this now a days. This monitor definitely needs some time and careful tuning with its colors. The whites are very yellowish and almost like a dingy yellow. You will need to find your balance but here is what i found to work for myself personally: GameVisual: Racing Mode or Cinema Mode (I read that Racing Mode is default and preferred choice but I tried other modes and only found Cinema Mode to be the only other acceptable one personally) Blue Light Filter: 0 Brightness: 30 Contrast: 60 Color Temp: User Mode - R:90, G: 75, B: 90 Gamma: 2.4 or 2.2 (Again maybe my eyes are just funky but these are my settings and made things a lot whiter than out of the box state. These settings are strictly for Racing Mode but if youd like to know my other settings I could update this post later on.) -------- Now the dead pixel that everyone keeps saying they are getting, - This simply has not been a case for me at all! I have been using the monitor since Day 1 of purchasing it and leaving it running 24/7. Not a single dead pixel. No real issues. Viewing at angles can make it look awkward and off but you should always be viewing and looking at the monitor straight on for the majority. - I would NOT recommend this monitor for those strictly using it for photoshop but for gaming and movies its great. Colors again just need to be adjusted accordingly to your preference. - Currently the monitor does not pull 240FPS on any game I have ran on it yet but does pull towards the 144FPS range aka 144Hz. This is even with Gsync enabled. Games I have ran so far: The Division 2 (Avg FPS: 100 on High Settings with some minor tweaks to other graphic settings) Ark (Avg FPS: 80) 7 Days to Die (Avg FPS: 90, at my base. 130 in open space) League of Legends (Avg FPS: 206) PC Specs: Video Card - GTX 1080 Ti Processor - i7 6700 RAM - 32GB *Again keep in mind these settings were MOSTLY set to high with minor tweaks in some graphic settings to my liking. - Overall the monitor performs well and makes every game feel like its running smoothly. No screen tears, no major issues that I have come across or noticed, and seems to definitely be very crisp in all games ran on it. So, would I recommend this monitor above others? Quite simply, no. It is a fantastic monitor and performs well but you could get a 144hz Monitor with Gsync probably cheaper and would run just as beautifully if not more so. Overall the monitor is great, its colors are pretty rough til you get the right adjustment for yourself, gaming performance is excellent but the price is still a bit high for not even being able to achieve 240FPS with my current PC build then again that is also on the games that I play. Some of their settings could be tweaked a bit further to push their FPS limits higher but then Id have to sacrifice the graphic quality of the game in order to achieve more FPS. I think as it stands I enjoy the FPS that I am pulling and love that I am not sacrificing much in the settings of these games to get the FPS I am, but I would love to be able to achieve a more stable if not steady 144FPS/144Hz with these games. To just add-on that I came from a BENQ 60Hz Monitor that I was using for over 5 years and you can definitely see the difference in smoothness plus the more consistent FPS I get with this monitor compared to that one. The only real downside for me is that the colors are hard to balance a bit in my opinion and really hard to achieve that pristine white that I look for in my white colors.

So far it works well. The picture quality isnt the best by any means. Its actually very bright for a monitor. I usually only have it on for gaming because its so bright and yes I have messed with the brightness settings. The size is great though and playing games on it with its high refresh rate is definitely amazing. I notice it the most when playing shooter type games. So if you’re interested in getting this monitor remember its peak is gaming and not meant for working on digital media.

Very happy with it. Most 240hz with gsync chips will have similar performance due to nvidia tuning in the overdrive and allowing things like line buffering (faster more accurate pixel response and lower input lag). This one I wanted to go for due to my old asus vg248qe being the standard in competitive gaming for so many years. Also I wanted high brightness to be able to maintain contrast in bright rooms. The PG258Q has higher brightness than any other 240hz monitor and this also helps with bright ULMB if you want to use that. Still running strong half a year later. Also noticed that this is the monitor being used for overwatch league games.

I ordered this on August 13, 2018. It looked great at first, but I noticed it slowly turning to crap. I had it calibrated perfectly, but now blacks arent black, and colors are incredibly washed out. It even looks like theres burn-in but the monitor is never left on when Im not using it, and when I am, well, its in use, so screens are moving. Just look at the photo. The top monitor is this one: Asus ROG Swift PG248Q 24". The bottom monitor is an Asus ROG Swift PG348Q 34" ultrawide. Notice the blacks. They both have no wallpaper and are just set to black. Thats the blackest this monitor will get now without turning it off. I didnt realize how bad it had gotten until my 5 year old daughter wanted to watch Teen Titans GO! on my top monitor this morning. She immediately said "the reds look pink!" Yeah they did. I tried to tweak the settings some, but nothing was making red red. I like my Asus products, but this monitor is not holding up.

If you want a high-end monitor with the maximum 240 hz this is your best option, really help you a lot with the performance if you have a PC master race

I read reviews about this monitor arriving broken or having dead pixels and thought surely it wouldnt happen to my monitor, because I assumed that things like that would only happen once or twice to people, but lo and behold my monitor has two dead pixels. They are very small and to be quite honest it seems silly to be upset about it, but given that this is a premium quality monitor and taking into account the price tag I expect it to be flawless. Besides that, the monitor itself is great. It preforms well, gaming looks great, and I wont be able to look at other monitors the same. All in all, I just wanted to warn people there is a possibility that your unit will arrive with one or two dead pixels. While they are small, they are hard not to notice. I want to end this review by recommending this monitor, because it really is stellar, and would get 5 stars if it didnt have these imperfections.

Edit: Ive been using this monitor for a while now and there is no more blurriness, maybe it had something to do with the resolution I was at? But i will still stick by the color comments i made. The whites literally blind the f out of me. The only thing I found impressive about this monitor was the 240hz and the control panel for the settings. Im giving this 3 stars because the colors on this monitor are just not right. Ive tried calibrating it but the whites blind me and if I turn the brightness / gamma down the rest of the colors look to dark. Another problem is no matter what game i play view distances look blurry and the only thing that is clear and crisp is basically a character model in 3rd person or your gun in first person. Ive used a benq 120hz monitor for years and i figured it was time to upgrade to the latest... i shouldve gone with another benq. Even this older monitor thats about 8 years old had more crisp images, no blur and images far away looked amazing and clear. Id like to send this monitor back but I feel like its going to be a huge pain....... I might as well suffer and continue trying to calibrate it.

I purchased this monitor about 2 months ago, and I love it so far. I was worried about the dead pixels people were mentioning in some reviews, but mine did not have any dead pixels. This monitor overall is bright, so you may need to adjust the coloring of it. Overall, I love this monitor and I will most likely purchase another one for a dual setup. The quality of this monitor is good, and is pretty heavy, and well built. The plastic piece on the back that holds the cables is quite cool too, you may have to finagle with it a bit to get it on correctly. I think the red light that reflects below the monitor is sort of useless, but it does look sort of cool at night. The price is decent for this monitor, I don’t have any words on that. Great monitor, great for gaming, and overall well made.
