Holy black light bleed and ghosting. This monitor is not what I had expected. Seems overpriced and underwhelming. The black light bleeding is extreme. Also had 3 dead pixels. No way am I paying 800 bucks for a monitor that is defective.

The combination of Size, Resolution (2560*1440), and the Freesync range were major factors in wanting this monitor. As it is exactly what I was wanting in a gaming monitor. For years Ive hated being limited to 60Hz with just about any flat panel. Games are super smooth as well as the desktop environment. Freesync works great on an AMD R9 390x. In fact, Freesync was just enabled by default on the monitor and in Windows, it Just worked. Had to make sure to disable V-sync in any of my games to take advantage of it. For me it is definitely worth the money. Although a bit pricey. Regardless, this is the experience you should be getting from any computer, as a high refresh rate has been a thing of the past since CRTs went out of style. A TV as a display could never do what this monitor does. Only minor issues I have found thus far, the game display modes can get a little goofy, becoming overly bright when you select them. Like FPS, Racing, etc. At which point you have to go into the menu and find the setting thats causing the super high brightness. I use the sRGB mode when not gaming and the only thing I dont like about it, is that the contrast, brightness and gamma controls are disabled when you are in that mode. Also, using the blue light filter requires you to be in the Racing preset. It would be nice to be able to use that filter on any preset. The menus are really easy to navigate and I very much like the ability to put an FPS meter up in the corner. For now I have disabled the power button as I did in a few instances go to press a button and I end up shutting off the monitor. Luckily there was an option for that. Next is the stand, it is actually a lot nicer than I expected, however it takes up quite a bit of space, and if you dont have a deep desk, you may be hard pressed to get it far enough away from you in your seating arrangement. All in all I am extremely happy with this monitor. I went from a Dell UltraSharp 24" from 2010.

ASUS.. I own and have owned MANY of your products over the years. Spent thousands of dollars Im sure. This $750 monitor is malfunctioning after less then 48 hours! It was working fine and I was actually enjoying it immensely for the short time that it worked properly. Gaming was a pleasure on this beast until.. until the whole right side started randomly going blank! No Picture by Picture is NOT on and no its not my Displayport cable. No its not my GPU, CPU, or Alien interference. Its a really, really expensive monitor that may as well be a 20lb rock sitting on my desk. The only positive side here is that I dont have to deal with your customer service and warranty department. I will be getting my money back through Amazon. EDIT: I contacted ASUS tech support as a courtesy and to cover all my bases before sending it back to Amazon. After nearly 45 minutes of troubleshooting they were completely clueless as to what could be wrong with it. From my testing I believe its the Displayport port on the monitor. HDMI works fine. Long story short its getting sent back asap. Lots of brands and options out there but ASUS is out.

My son spent a month researching the best gaming monitor, as he was using his hard earned mowing and chore money to make this big purchase (for a 14 year old). He was so excited and planned everything around the delivery, so he could spend the weekend playing on it. The delivery was made on schedule, but the monitor box was semi-opened, arriving within another box, which was odd. My son had a friend over and they finished opening and carefully unpacking and setting up the monitor. 2 hours later the room was perfect for gaming, unfortunately, as soon at the monitor/computer was actually turned on, the 3 deep scratches in the monitor screen, including a deep dig in the outside of the monitor. Very distraught, we decided to pack it up and send it back. Imagine our surprise to find another return slip in the original semi-opened box where someone else had also returned it. So they were selling a damaged, pre-owned monitor as brand new. We will never trust another of their products again.

I bought this for myself, even though I am not an esports dude. Could have been back in the days of Sunwell in World of Warcraft, but the market wasnt developed enough. This monitor is by far the finest monitor Ive ever owned. Im 40+ and have owned a new monitor every 2-3 years. Constantly amazed (even though Im an engineer) that the bar can be raised on monitor displays. Pros: The curved screen - I thought was goofy - but on using it, it really does offer a more emmersive gaming experience. That said, I dont think a curved screen is in the cards for my home tv setups. The resolution is fantastic! There is no flicker and 1080 drives this display perfectly. Im not sure if a 980 would get the job done, but it might. Cons: There is an annoying red light coming from the bottom of the display. I know some people like this sort of flair, but I find it extremely distracting. I think it can be turned off, but Ive only had the monitor for a few hours of playtime. The price is the best in the market, but really, I think these manufacturers could either improve quality slightly or reduce cost alot.

I used this monitor for 3 months and really wanted to like it but overall was extremely disappointed with it. I ended up selling it at a big loss and purchased one two hundred dollars cheaper that is much better for gaming. The only good about this monitor are the colors looked almost as good as my older IPS monitor I had replaced. The bad is that its extremely blurry when in dark scenes of a game and you look around. When there was a dark background and looking around, you would get some really bad pixel blur. Super slow response time in dark scenes. Even with OD at 4 it was so noticeable that you really wouldnt want to play the game anymore. It instantly made you lose focus of the game and focus on the pixel blur. I tried to get used to it and it would just annoy me instantly. Not sure how this monitor has so many positive reviews on here. Dont go with this monitor if your looking for a fast response time.

The product itself looked amazing. Video game graphics looked great but my first monitor had dead pixels. I requested a new one and it arrived quick. After a week the replacement monitor had another pixel die out. For $600 you expect a perfect item and this just isn’t it. I hadn’t even returned the first monitor yet because of the holidays. Now I have two monitors to mail back. Will no longer be buying from Asus

Wow, Im impressed by the image quality of this monitor 144Hz is amazing, coming from an BenQ 27" 1080P/60Hz monitor is huge upgrade so i was told and read countless times about the transition, never doubted it, just felt I really had to choose the right monitor. Im very satisfied I with this one, I always been a big fan of Asus products especially when choosing components for my build because of how reliable and premium of quality they are and it shows 10 times over in this ROG Strix monitor. Installation was a breeze, considering most monitor installs are. Could instantly tell the quality change when as soon as I entered my os desktop, looking at the Icons borders, texts, everything just looked more Crisp. Conveniently out the box the display settings were already set to the preferred 2560x1440P 144Hz resolution, and adjusted the color calibration a little bit and became better. I was a little Iffy on the 1800R Curve feature at first and how it would effect my the gaming experience when i was researching this, but now since its live in front of me its actually really nice, does take a little getting used to if your coming from flat panels like me or like everyone else. But I can see myself adapting to the "Slight" Curve quickly. Also I would really like to add that having a good enough GPU to pair this with this monitor is something you should most highly consider. I have the Strix GTX1070 which is like the minimum amount of gpu power to run 1440P monitors, and works great. I mostly play some CSGO and Warthunder (two completely different games) and so far the experience has been very enjoyable and extremely smooth with its amazing 144Hz refresh rates, and the 1440P image and color quality just tops its off in gaming, a most definite Upgrade, and really starting to like the 1800R Curve a lot during gaming. Still coming from a 27" screen I thought the jump to an 31.5" screen wouldnt be that much of a big change but this screen is Huge! Which will take a little time getting used to IMO, but loving every inch of it. This entire monitor does take a lot of real estate on your desk. I have the 72"L Ikea Linmonn table top and really seems a little to big for my desk setup, So this might be something to consider. From front to back it takes up a lot of room, maybe because of the curve feature imo. I just barely have enough room for my K70 keyboard/mouse sitting on Corsair extended mouse pad, but works and dosent look took bad. If your planning and have the money to get and Double or triple monitor setup using these monitors, the XG32VQ would be a great choice for that if you were going for a High quality Premium monitor setup in 2018, with its very thin sexy bezels and curved screen display. Ive seen the setup around before, and im sure you have too and its really beautiful. Just overall build quality of this thing just screams Premium Top-notch. With its metal stands and effortless screen adjusting. Moving the screen up and down to the pref you need just floats up and downwards without any locking, and stays put and never moves. IMO the price might be a little high for some, but for the category its in 1440P 144Hz 31.5 Inch W/1800R Curve its really a good and decent deal and a very premium well proven brand in the Monitor department, compared to other competitors in this Specific Gaming Monitor Category this would be the one to get. I have read some reviews about some people getting faulty products with "Dead Spots" or "Color Bleeding" on their new monitors, probably received faulty monitors which really sucks, but not all of them come like that, I was lucky and received a properly working one so far and has been another great satisfying experience with the ASUS brand. Here are some pictures sorry for the image quality, for some reason came out very crappy on my phone.

This is my first curved display, and Im pleased with the experience. I build my own computer systems and had a lot of factor in mind. I was looking for a good balance of price vs performance and for the money, like what I got. I have not had success so far setting it up as far as G-Sync, even though I updated the display drivers in Windows 10. I was hoping to find a curved, HDR, 4K, but unless you want to spend a fortune, its near impossible to find. Im used to a 1080, I use it for gaming and feel this is an even better monitor than my previous 25 inch Acer. The Acer had an issue which cause occasional black-screen. It was very frustrating, and after the fact, learned many Acer monitors suffer from this. Its the reason I needed a new display. I play First Person Shooters, so a monitor which can keep up is important. I like the various options to tune your colors, the height adjustment features are the best of any monitors Ive owned and am very happy. If I had to list a negative, its the lack of an internal speaker. I use a headset for gaming, so never invested in a fancy external speaker setup, but once in a while when I want to show someone a YouTube video or have them listen to something, I cant just unplug the headset and let them hear it. Its a minor issue, but the only negative I have. As long as this isnt important to you, I think its a great choice monitor for the money and features.

The monitor is a beast. I absolutely love it. I have two now and ordered a third. The biggest complaint I have is that the base is massive and made fitting my keyboard on the desk comfortably very difficult. Easily solved with desk mounts though. Taking off the original mounts was difficult since the directions were terrible, but once you know how to do it, its a simple and easy process.
