Ordered two. Arrived quickly with no damage. One was DOA, the other was fine. One was to replace a much older Asus; the other would have replaced my LG27UD8 so that I would have 2 matching side by side, and move the LG to another room. The one that worked was set about as bright as it would go out of the box, but contrast was poor no matter how I configured it. Compared to LG 27UD8 (granted a bit more expensive but more than a year old) there is a very clear difference in black level - particularly black text on a white screen. By comparison the Asus looked washed out and everything seemed to glow, making text difficult to read. Amazon took care of replacing the DOA unit (Thanks Amazon!) but I sent the other back because it just didnt perform anywhere close to the LG. Had both worked out of the box maybe my perception would have been different, but as it is there was too much of a performance gap to keep both monitors side by side. Love Asus, and Ill continue to buy their components regularly, but unfortunately this one really missed the mark - its a textbook example of a products stellar specs not necessarily resulting in higher quality output.

* As people mentioned, only one HDMI port is 4K enabled. * Power to the usb ports is inconsistent, switching displays turns off and on the usb power. * Switching displays itself takes forever - sometimes it takes two tries. * The back button doesnt work in the menu, so you have to constantly close and reopen the menu to get to different options. * My monitor was stuck on black once simply because I had an hdmi cable plugged in (nothing was on the other end). I couldnt even change inputs. The hardware is there but the functionality needs work.
