I bought this monitor a year and a half ago for around $300. It was an ok monitor while it lasted, I used it for gaming and everyday normal use. For gaming it did have a bit of input lag and never would even run quite to its claimed 60hz while running at 1440p. This was disappointing but for the price I figured I could live with it. Then 2 days ago the monitor just straight up died on me, it would power on to the AOC logo and then just instantly said "no signal" and turned off. I cant access any of the monitor settings menus and Ive tried all the different input ports on the monitor as well as two different computers for output to make sure it was a monitor issue. Turns out it is just completely dead after only 18 months. My last monitor was a HANNS G and lasted 7 years before I sold it. I have just ordered an LG 32" 1440p to replace this one and wen with the 144hz which should be better for gaming. I would waste your money on this monitor, spend the extra $50 and get a 144hz one that will last longer.

This monitor does not disappoint. I bought it primarily to use when I work from home—mainly typing word docs in Microsoft and doing research. I could not be more pleased with the size and resolution. The only problem with the resolution is that it is so good that font sizes that cannot be adjusted are a bit too small (e.g. the text on the tab in a google chrome window). I also do not own a TV, so I use this monitor and it works great for that purpose. The display is great. The boarder around the screen is not giving me any problems (I read another review that complained that the glossy finish on the plastic was distracting, I am glad I didnt let that review dissuade me). The stand for the monitor is perfect. It is very easy to adjust the height of the monitor—its yet another underrated feature that makes this such a great purchase.

Im a professional fine artist, and I use this monitor while painting. It is enormous and beautiful, so much nicer to use instead of my smaller laptop screen. I have a 13" 2013 Macbook Pro, so this huge monitor is quite a step up to the laptop screen Ive been using all this time. It seems dumb I hadnt upgraded yet, but I was only considering buying a larger laptop, which is far more expensive than just getting a second larger monitor, so once I thought of that, this was the perfect solution. It works perfectly with my Macbook, though I had to buy an adaptor for the HDMI cable - I got an HDMI to Thunderbolt, and just plugged it into Thunderbolt port on my Mac and voila. I also LOVE that this monitor can be used vertically as well as horizontally (see photos). Thats a credit to the mounting arm I bought, but my Mac also had a setting for rotating the orientation of the monitor, so thats a quick setting change any time I want to flip it vertically for a while and then back again to horizontal. Note: in my photos, the monitor looks way brighter and washed out than in real life (taking a photo of a monitor with my phone yields inaccurate color/brightness), but in real life its perfect, with a slew of adjustment settings to fine tune it. Overall excellent monitor, totally worth the price.

Sets up easily, numerous interface options so I am able to use DVI to my legacy Dell which must be around 10 years old by now. [edited, see below: Overall quality is good, but I cant award the full five stars, because of a screen artifact (see photo).] Actually, I migrated this over to a newer laptop and I am now running this over HDMI at its recommended resolution. The artifact which I mentioned earlier disappeared! So I am pleased to award this a five-star rating - the combination of price and quality is excellent! My primary motivation for this purchase is to cut down on eye-strain; I use the computer for office work 8+ hours a day. Im finding this is more comfortable than my 27 inch. I have positioned this further back, and Ive got it on a small table sitting behind my desk, lowering the bottom edge of the monitor almost to desktop level.

Great monitor for the price. I use this monitor on top of an electronic organ to display music sheet. Great resolution. I use MuseScore to play scores on the computer instead of using music sheets! No flipping. Pros: The display is gorgeous with the DVI cable. Great monitor for the price. Cons: There is no high adjustment. Only the tilt can be adjusted. There is no VEGA mounting hold on the back. I dont have an HDMI port on my computer so Ive never tried the HDMI connection. The VGA cable that comes with this monitor will display only to 1920 x 1080. The monitor does not come with a DVI cable which is REQUIRED to display 2560 x 1440. I order a DVI cable from Amazon after I tested with the DVI cable from another monitor. I am using a NVidia GEFORCE GT 730 video card with 2 GB DDR3 memory. The video card comes with a "control panel" that would allow 2560 x 1440 with the VGA cable. It looks acceptable while I am waiting for the DVI cable. Added 4/22/1019: The very dim power indicator light is so so so tinny and un-noticeable that I did not find it until the NEXT day! Added 4/26/2019: I dropped the stars from 5 to 1. This morning, the left half of the screen has a blue tint. The right half of the screen is normal. I powered it off and back on. I switched the ports on my video card. I reboot the computer. The blue tint stays the same. I am returning the monitor. Too bad.

Ended up ordering three of these AOC Q3279VWFD8 31.5" QHD 2560x1440 monitors. The first one got sent back to Amazon because of a weird 3" by 5" shadow in the lower left-hand corner. Number two had only half of the screen working whereas the left side of the screen had tons of lines and looked to be in terrible resolution. Number three was as nice-looking as the first, minus the weird shadow in the corner. This monitor really does look amazing and has some awesome features for dirt cheap. Free Sync, 75 MHZ refresh rate, 32", 1440 display, amazing colors, no dead pixels, blue light filter, good connection options, and low price. Ran a few monitor calibration tests, and except for the brightness being a bit too high from the factory, I didnt have to fiddle with hardly any settings. The stand is a tiny bit wobbly, but this is minor. I would rate this at 5 stars if I hadnt had to RMA the first two...

Clear, bright display with no dead pixels. With four input ports I should be able to connect to anything. Screen is 441 sq in (about two 22" 16:10 monitors). Very pleased with the 2560 x 1440 resolution (much better than 1920 x 1080). I am still adjusting to using the additional vertical (and somewhat less horizontal) real-estate of this monitor vs. dual 22 inch displays.

Bought as a 2nd monitor for my late-2013 iMac as it has the same 2560 x 1440 native resolution. Used a Thunderbolt/MiniDisplay cable out of iMac to the AOC DisplayPort. So simple, iMac just recognized it, then I customized some settings, both on the AOC screen display menu, and with the iMac display settings to match their colors. Left alone without adjustment, the AOC looked washed out by comparison. A few tweaks and now looks identical. No flicker, pixel issues, etc. Wondering how I ever lived without the 2nd monitor. Am now considering a third, because - why not? Unless it crashes prematurely, would highly recommend.

Put it together ..... like others had major issues with the stand screw. After working it in for 25 mins finally got it tight. Set up and turn on ..... right half of screen garbled. I am going to give the monitor another chance. Ordered from Amazon directly this time let see if we can get a winner. Will update. Update 1 Ordered directly from amazon and this model went together quickly and easily. This base much sturdier, monitor sits slightly taller than previous sent (1/4 inch). Picture quality superb using Displayport 75 hz. Color temp out of the box is warm. I switched to sRBG and plan to calibrate though it is quite good out of the box. No dead pixels, sreen uniformity is also excellent. Long term reliability is of course and open question, but picture quality if you get a good one is outstanding for price. May buy another. Pay a few bucks more and order from amazon direct. Update 2 Second monitor developed a square bleed through in top left corner. Shame but you get what you pay for. Not recommeneded.

it is a very good monitoer for the price, I was very surprised at how crisp games looked on this thing. the resolution upgrade was a bit more then I had expected, the screen has no dead pixles and dos not stutter I have had this product for a few weeks now. pros. no dead pixles looks great! price easy to reach speaker port. cons, the stock mount dosnt alow for much flexibility no speakers. I would recommend this product to anybody who wants to up the resolution but still cant afford a 4 or 5 k monitor. keep an eye out for sales it a great addition to any setup!
