This is a very nice monitor for the price. (27" model I2777FQ) The image is clear, and sharp, I dont really see much of a downside to it. Most other reviews have gone over the pros and cons, but there is one thing Id like to point out. A few of the reviews state that the support arm cannot be removed for VESA mounting. This is not correct. The problem is that AOC does not document this very well. You have to remove the silver panel on the back to access the four (4) mounting screws. It comes off relatively easily by sliding a thin edge behind it. A guitar pick would be ideal (I used a nylon burnisher) but dont use a screwdriver as you could damage the plastic. I have mine happily mounted on my desk.

I purchased two of these monitors less than a month ago and one of them has already crapped out.

Bottom line: well worth the small premium compared to other similarly sized monitors. The picture quality is fine by me for usage with games and movies (via Steam Link and Apple TV). Sound. Id purchased an ASUS monitor at first, but the sound coming out of the HDMI port completely lacked bass. This monitor doesnt have that issue. Source Auto Switching. This feature is great. I have a Steam Link and an Apple TV connected to this monitor and the switching works flawlessly. It can take anywhere from 5-8 seconds for it to detect the correct source, but I dont find it to be an issue. LED Indicators. The LED indicator is blue when the monitor is active, and red when its inactive and powered (e.g. you leave the monitor on but your connected devices are off). These LED indicator light are not so bright that theyre distracting. Image quality. I dont have any issues with the image quality at all. Seems quite good to me. No dead pixels and no bright spots or anything like that. Mountable. I had to figure this one out. You can definitely use this with a VESA mount without any tricky converters. You just have to be brave enough to yank the stand out of the frame. It feels like it might break something, but it wont. Thin Bezel. The thin bezel helps me focus more on the picture. I like it a lot because it its as if the image is just floating in front of you.

This is a great monitor with very clear colors. I use this for touching up photos for work and I use it for gaming. This is a good value for the money! The only issue that i had was when I was trying to figure out how to remove the stand arm from the back of the monitor. I downloaded the PDF manual, but there were no instructions for this. You have to pop out the long silver panel on the back and then unscrew the four black screws that hold the arm on the monitor. Once the arm is removed, you can mount this on the wall or an adjustable arm.

Easy set up once I figured out how to remove the back to get take the stand completely off. Just a tip, use a credit card to pop off the plastic, works like a charm. One of the screws for the VESA bracket wasnt threaded properly, I emailed customer support, and within 5hrs I had a response, and the screws were mailed to me within 2 business days. Could not be happier with their customer service.

Got this for a pretty good deal. Read a lot of reviews and the full specs. Best price for the screen size, IPS and etc. Pretty easy to put together. Takes like two minutes unless your a cable management OCD type. If you want it lower on a desk, you can skip putting it into the slotted base. Great display. Games look good on it. Videos even better. I dont run any 1080p or 4K type stuff. Clean lines. Looks good on the desk next to my two Macs and with the rest of my setup. Bezel lines are there BUT I like the way they blend in. The 21.5" screen is just right. Enough screen space to side by side my IDE and browser. The one thing I love that surprised me was the light on it. When its in standby, I cant tell the lights on at night. Ill be keeping an eye out for the price on this again to get a second one or perhaps a model that has HDMI. There are a few nitpicks I do have. Theres no HDMI but I have adapters and use real speakers so no huge loss. The bottom front bezel is... well a little odd. Not sure how to explain it. I wish it were about a half inch higher. I rigged up something using part of a wooden shelf There is a VESA kit available for it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A3XDIQQ/ref=ox_sc_mini_detail?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid= After finding it, theres a good chance Ill be ordering another monitor soon and two of the kits to mount them.

I literally shopped for about 6 months for a monitor before buying this and I couldnt be happier. While not a Samsung, Asus or HP which weve all heard of, this thing beat them all and for about half the cost. My requirements were a 27" monitor with virtually no bezel and it had to be visually appealing as I wanted to hang it in our family room for a CCTV system and $200 was all I was looking to pay. This was it. Its thin, has VESA mounts, super thin bezel, very crisp, clear picture and best of all its the price of most 23 inch screens.

Pluses : 75hz (which is moderately noticeable even on desktop) Freesync (good Feature for tearless gaming) IPS (overall ips is best technology for monitors coz on VA Matrix - Text is horrible and on TN Matrix colors/viewing angles are horrific) Small Frame B+ clarity for 22" (21.5) inch version, not very far away from 27" 2K monitor but 2K 27" inch monitor is still slightly sharper which is notable with naked eye. Great for its price (100$-110$ for 22" and 130-140$ for 24" inch version) Averages : there is no height/swiwel adjustment but for 100$-150$ very few monitors have height/swiwel adjustments. No internal Speakers. Menu/controls are nothing special. clarity on 24" version is average, little worse then on 22" version and much worse then 27" 2K monitor but overall clarity/sharpness is acceptable and wont be dealbreaker for average person Minuses : plastic and stand both looks moderately cheap Sharpness on 27" inch version is Bad, i mean really bad you will notice it in everything except Movies, watching Movies will be ok but other then movies, Text on internet and even objects in Games will be blurry which will be dealbreaker for Alot of people, so if you want to buy 27" inch monitor do not Buy any of 27+ Full HD [1920X1080] monitors because IPS matrix 75Hz and other pros will Vanish if everything will be blurry. considering all above mentioned factors my overall Scores : 22" 9.0 (for 100$-110$) 24" 8.0 (for 130$-140$) 27" 3.5 (for 170$-190$)

This is my initial review after just opening it and turning it on. Upon pulling out the stand from the box, it was full of permanent scratches and marks. Looks like I bought an old, used monitor. After connecting the base and setting it up at the desk, I couldnt help but notice something felt very off and discomforting. Turns out the right side of the monitor is constructed so its almost a quarter inch lower than the left side. And of course, you cant tilt the monitor sideways so Im stuck with it. The only saving grace here is it is mountable, so looks like Ill have to purchase a mount. I wasnt in love with the display, either. Colors felt dull and I thought my 6 year old, off-brand, 720p cheap TV showed better colors when gaming. Figured I needed to adjust some settings like you normally do, but I havent been able to figure out how to adjust any settings. Thats fine, I can just check the manual to see how or if its possible. Oh wait, I didnt receive one of those. All in all, my excitement for my first, full-hd, IPS monitor quickly fell to disappointment.

Havent yet used this monitor, however wanted to make a note for anyone looking at getting this monitor. I bought this to replace my second monitor and am mounting both 27" monitors on a dual monitor stand (the AmazonBasics Premium one is really nice <3) There are a lot of reviews of this item that are not this exact model pictured. The monitor I received is the exact one pictured and it appears to have a fixed stand - it is a fixed stand, however the fixed stand is easily removable. The plastic aluminum colored strip on the back pops off with little persuasion. There are 4 screws securing the mounting bracket to the back of the monitor, remove those puppies and the stand/arm comes off. Replace the plastic strip on the back if you want to give the wall something more aesthetically pleasing to look at. Otherwise be a rebel and leave it off. The choice is yours.
