Pro: I dont think you can get a better gaming monitor for the price. Set for max resolution and Freesync activated, this does everything I could possibly want. Paired with a Sapphire NITRO 580 and an Intel 8600 ... it screams. Very, very easy set-up too. Con: The USB jacks, HDMI and DP jacks are on the back and in a recess that is accessed vertically. Its very awkward to access and put the jacks in. Not a big deal, just a little hard to see and access. Once theyre in of course, you probably wont have to access it again. Highly recommend this monitor to any gamer on a moderate budget.

This monitor is awesome! Worked flawlessly out of the box, no dead pixels and minimal back light bleed. Coming from 144Hz to 240Hz is noticeable. 240Hz is buttery smooth and even in games that dont hit 240 Fps, you can still notice the smoothness of the game. Even though I do recommend the monitor, wait for it to go on sale. I believe a few weeks back it was in the $340-350 range for the FreeSync model.

This thing is amazing. I wanted a decent monitor to play ps4 on and this thing blew my mind when i turned it on and started playing APEX Legends. The color is amazing. No dead pixels, and it’s amazing how far TN panels have come over the years. I could not have made a better choice.

Okay, so i bought this in october 2018. I sold both of mine to upgrade to an ultrawide curved monitor right before the update that let these work with Gsync, lol. I still think they are excellent monitors. The main issue is that they are NOT the best monitors for text or graphics editing. You should know that it is a TN panel screen because only those can respond fast enough. On my personal system, i spend 90% of my time non gaming and 10% at the very most gaming. When your monitor use is mostly text, it sticks out when some characters are not displayed as clearly as they could be on a 1080p screen. Between that and wanting to move to a single monitor was when i replaced these (I was running two of these and decided it was pointless using a 1ms, 240hz monitor for a screen that only ever showed a text editor). I went for an ultrawide monitor with an IPS panel and 75hz refresh rate and I am perfectly happy with it. I know to a lot of people considering this monitor, wouldnt ever consider using 75hz and thats fine. I also sold my gtx 1070 and am back to using onboard video now, lol. Its good enough for my one weekly game. For gaming purposes, this monitor IS the bees knees pretty much, at 240hz the detail and sheer smoothness has to be seen to be believed. I drove both of these with a 8gb gtx 1070 and it did great. Not once did i ever have issues and i usually maxed out the game settings. I noticed my kills in FPSs definitely went up when i got this monitor and it did help me become a better player by being able to time stuff I couldnt on slower monitors. Well im back to my 75hz and im still doing great so maybe once you learn it you keep it :)

I am a content creator who edits videos and loves playing games. I have a Dell Ultrasharp 4K IPS 27” panel, which has served me well especially for Photoshop. But I needed something for gaming, with silky smooth refresh rates, and decent color accuracy. This display is also from Dell, except under their Alienware brand. In order to drive the display at 1080p 240Hz, you need to connect to a graphics card through DisplayPort 1.2 or higher. I use a GTX 1070 Ti, so playing games like Overwatch and CS:GO is excellent. The display has better viewing angles than any TN panel I’ve seen, and the brightness goes up to a sustained 400 nits (450 sometimes). I’ve calibrated the display and achieved 99% sRGB, and 82% Adobe RGB, and a Delta E of around 2. Colors pop on this TN, and that’s an accomplishment. The stand is built like a tank, I bang on my table after dying so much in Overwatch and it doesn’t budge. It includes an HDMI, not a DisplayPort, so I had to buy my own, but that’s okay they’re like <$10 US. The USB hub is very convenient. And the bezels are very thin, like my Dell Ultrasharp. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dell used the same Infinity Edge tech as their other flagship displays.

Ok. So the monitor is good looking on the outside that fit for gaming experience with RGB light on the back in which I can customize. The quality of the picture is much better than I expected for the TN panel, it is not great for movie viewing such as in dark sense, but it work perfect with gaming at 240hz with sygn. It is very smooth while playing game life Fortnite or Global Counter Strike. My computer can handle it at around 200hz while streaming at the same time with second monitor. The color look better than my 27 Dell 1440p sygn monitor. This monitor has around 120% sRGB coverage. First Person Shooting game is really great for the monitor. Plus, this monitor is very bright and good saturated color for gaming. However, there is a little down side to the monitor, the quality control is not very good. I got a little scratch on the monitor, but very hard to see unless I try to find it. Plus, it getting snuggles dirty things on very easily. In addition, it is a little pxialated compared to higher resolution monitor out there. All in all, a good product.

I purchased this monitor towards the end of February for $279, an absolute steal! Im very impressed with the design and image quality, couldnt be happier. Ive never actually had a gaming monitor so this is the first time for me getting to experience a high refresh rate. As soon as you switch the settings from the default connection via HDMI @ 60Hz to 240Hz, there is a noticeable difference in the way the cursor moves across the screen and the colors seemed to pop more as soon as I switched to 240Hz. Its very smooth and makes for a great experience. I ran into an issue using the DisplayPort initially. One HUGE con worth mentioning is that the I/O port on the back is almost useless because there is a raised piece of plastic just underneath the ports and it makes it ALMOST impossible to insert the DisplayPort cable, it actually feels like its not going in correctly/at an angle because youre unable to get it flush and flat enough to plug it in. Horrible design flaw, honestly dont know why that little piece is there. Im not sure if that was why I couldnt get the display working with DP or what, but I couldnt get it working with DisplayPort (it could have been a defective cable, too). I had to use the included HDMI cable and by default it runs the monitor at 60Hz. You have to go into display settings and set the refresh rate to 240Hz. Boom, done. Although, Windows is showing it actually running at 239Hz. I heard that HDMI wouldnt be able to run 240Hz, but it is and setting the refresh rate in Overwatch its also running at 240Hz.

I ordered a new monitor. It came in the open box. Nothing sealed or anything what can protect monitor from the dust or water. The furniture ordered on amazon that made from some sort of metal was delivered in a better package than this monitor. Box was in a terrible condition. Very lucky that the monitor isn’t damaged inside. If I knew I would just order a used one because this one doesn’t look like new. The monitor itself looks good for this price. Has many settings. The colors look a little bit less juicy than it is on my alianware laptop. Maybe need to play more with some settings. “Open and use” didn’t work for my used/new monitor.

Very clean looking monitor, does what it says. Very easy to mount on a monitor arm. Unlike the asus where my standard vesa mount didn’t fit their 240hz freesync monitor, and it’s $130 cheaper. When you first boot up the Alienware monitor the response time will be set to normal, you will have to change that to super fast through the menu.
