Pros: Nice look and feel. The clear plastic spacer on the bottom keeps the working surface up high enough for comfortable touchscreen use. Glass of from edge to edge makes Windows 8 edge swipes simple and easy. Variable tilt support arm is just right for upright use, or laying down and using system from above. Cons: I could not get the touchscreen to wake up any computer from sleep. When the computer goes to sleep, the mouse and keyboard would wake it, but touching the screen does nothing. Could not find any information from Acer or by searching the internet. Had to resort to black screensaver and never going to sleep. Also, sometimes the touchscreen would not recognize, but gave a USB Device Descriptor Request failed error. I tried 3 computers, running both 32 and 64 bit windows. After a week of emails to Acer tech support, I resolved the issue by unplugged the power and holding down the power button for 10 seconds. When plugged back in, it was immediately recognized and began working. It did this twice while it was on the bench in my office. The device is now in production in a classroom, so we will see how it does in the future. Lastly, when using more then one touchpoint, say 3 to 5 fingers when swiping in a game, the touch really lags. While this may be a product of CPU usage on the computer, it means this touchscreen should not be connected to anything below a i3 processor if you want good touchscreen responsiveness.

I bought the T272HUL 27in monitor along with my Surface 3. The monitor connected to the Surface 3 running 64bit Windows 8.1 with no problem. Also, I dont have any "ghosting" problem as described by others. I have the MS Surface 3 docking station and use both the Audio and DisplayPort connectors to the docking station. The touch-screen function just stopped working. Literally, Thursday it was working, Friday it was not. No maintenance of any kind, not even a reboot. I am tech-savvy... I know how to hook this stuff up and how it works. Windows 8.1 showed that the last maintenance installed was 6 days earlier. I power-failed the monitor, rebooted the Surface, uninstalled the driver with reboots... all without success. Chatted with Acer support... they insisted the monitor is a plug-and-play device and has no drivers. I had to go into the device manager and get a screen shot of the device driver details before they would believe me that there was, in-fact, a device driver. Very simply, I wanted to know if there was an updated version of this driver, or even an official copy of the driver, that I could download and (re-)install. Basically, the support person would not answer my questions and would not move forward until I uninstalled the driver they didnt know existed and rebooted again. They knew that would force me off their "chat" queue. Of course it didnt work, I had already tried it before. I came to the conclusion that they could not and would not help. So now I have a simple $1,000 display monitor. Good screen image but certainly not worth the money. I could have bought n inexpensive Viewsonic for a couple hundred bucks and had what I have now. And yes, the touch-screen monitor on my desktop had value to me. My granddaughter had a blast playing her games on "papas" computer. Shes 4yo and cant type or use a mouse yet... but she does know how to use a touch-screen. Im not a hater... the 3 stars are because it is a good monitor and was easy to install. The only feature that doesnt work is the touch-screen and this was my main reason for buying it. So, looking for another 25in or better touch-screen monitor... certainly not from Acer. Suggestions welcome.

Professional reviews liked the way this monitor tilts, but had concerns about the colors and the sound. They still rated it very positively. I’m afraid I can’t follow suit. They were right about ergonomics, color and sound. Wrong to rate it highly. I worked hard with the on-screen display (OSD) menus to calibrate the color. The interface is antiquated, ugly and difficult to use. And I was never satisfied with the color. The sound? Umm, my pocket transistor am radios from the 60’s sounded better. Worst user guide ever. Truly awful. Sent it back for a refund.

Touch screen capability does not work in Windows 10, should mention that in product details and description. So pointless to buy a 10 point touch screen to be used solely as a PC Monitor. Also have a glass cover that is flush with the table or desk used on. So any cables have to be routed around it (ie mouse or keyboard).

I am both a PC and Mac user. I use this side-by-side next to a 27 inch iMac. The color is on the Acer are not quite as sharp as the the colors on the iMac. But then again the iMac is not it touchscreen. It is a fixed base which does not allow for any angling raising or lowering. The touch so far has worked pretty well, so I definitely you enjoy and use the monitor. This is a good product, which has the potential to be an excellent one with a better design base.

I bought two of these for my home office, mounted them with a dual-arm mount, and Im loving them. I dont use touch as often as Id like to work with Windows, but when I do, I love having the option. (How did I get so lazy with a mouse?) The screens are bright and sharp and huge. Theyre heavy, so if youre mounting them, get someone to help out. If you install two of them, the touchscreens need to be set up with Windows 8 (since, if you think about it, Windows doesnt know which touchscreen USB input corresponds to which monitor). To do so, be sure to run the Tablet PC Setting program in windows, and then click Setup to configure the displays. Some small downsides: - Im having an occasional issue where one of the monitors thinks that I am touching it in the middle of the screen, which Windows 8 interprets as a sustained "right click." Pretty annoying, but I cant blame the monitors yet. Could just be Windows or drivers or who knows. - Ive mounted my monitors on a dual-arm mount, which is great, except that the gray stand in the back (which isnt being used, since the monitors are mounted) sticks out pretty far. It cant be folded in. As a result, my desk must sit 6 inches from the wall.

Monitor is great; tech support, not so great. Could not get the touchscreen to work and it was obvious the tech support had no tech training but was strictly following a troubleshooting guide. His solution - return the monitor because it "might be defective". after doing more research on my own, and contacting Startech support re: the pciexpress usb3.0 card I had the monitor plugged into, it turned out the card driver was incompatible with my motherboard (note - Startech support was awesome). switched out the card and touchscreen works. So great monitor, but zip for support.

Super excited about this product when I first got it but I think all the glowing reviews were from people only using it for touch presentations. My first disappointment is that it doesnt work with any stylus so I cant really get precision for the way I need this thing to be used. While I obviously did not expect this to be a Cintiq replacement, I was atleast hoping that the refresh rate would be fast enough to not lag behind while playing videos. Also, the touch isnt very effective when it comes to 3D programs like 3DSMAX, Rhino, or Sketchup which is primarily what I needed this for. Colors are also very off and if your job is design, I wouldnt recommend this one. Its good if all you need is for it to work with touch, but I dont get all the great reviews this thing has to be honest. Will be returning it soon.

Visually - Great/clear monitor. Touch responsiveness is quite good, but dont expect to be able to draw on the screen or anything like that. The sound is below par. I got a tiny little speaker which is good enough for me, but the one on the monitor is terrible. Also, the placement of the volume buttons etc is pretty bad. You cant tell what button (on side of monitor) does what. The instructions that come with it are terrible.

This Acer T272HL is replacing a Dell 27" mopnitor 2714T that had a very short life. My criteria for a new monitor: It had to have a touch screen It had to be 27" It had to have good reviews It wasnt a Dell On the positive side, this new Acer monitor is really responsive. Much more than the Dell monitor that it replaced. On the negative side, the picture is not as clear as the Dell Monitor. I noticed that immediately when it booted up to the win 10 screen before logging in. I almost sent it back right then., but logged in and was delighted with how sensitive the touch was. The Dell was pretty sluggish compared to this Acer.. Hopefully this monitor will be trouble-free and we will spend a few years together exploring the world wide web.:)
