Ive had the monitor for a few months and Im pleasantly surprised that it preforms so well for the $120 I paid compared to more expensive monitors. Its very thin and light but sturdily built, and you can tilt the screen to adjust to your viewing angle. 1920 x 1080 resolution looks very nice, and the 21.5" screen doesnt sound like much but its pretty large when you actually have it in front of you, plus you get the added pixel density. There are plenty of settings on the monitor to adjust brightness, etc. It comes with both VGA and DVI cables so I didnt need to buy any. I would recommend this monitor to anyone for both gaming and casual use.

Im pleased with this purchase. I think its a good value. I use a multiple monitor system and wanted a good widescreen that I could watch movies on while I worked. This monitor provides very nice, vivid colors and so far it has been very dependable. Things I like It comes with all cables. The VGA/HDMI/DVI cables were included, the power cable was included, and it also had an audio cable with it. On Windows 10, I plugged it in to a USB VGA display adapter, and it simply worked with no further action needed on my part. It has audio - granted, it is not loud at all, even at the loudest volume Packed well in the box, it comes in 2 main pieces, the monitor, and the stand. The stand is very easy to put on - a large phillips screwdriver and a penny or straight edge screwdriver are all that are required. There are 2 screws total, they are provided, and already in their proper positions. They just need to be tightened. VERY intuitive controls. Features auto configuration, and input selector. (Input includes DVI, VGA, or HDMI.) Downsides Its low, and the height cant be adjusted. A monitor riser or monitor shelf is needed if you want to sit this up off a desk more than 3 inches. The stand it comes with provides 3 inches of height. Even with both screws tightened, it is a bit wobbly. I used 2 sided tape to secure the stand to my riser stand, which resolved that problem.

Its a very nice monitor. I was almost scared away by the top critical review. He was saying the display was "washed out". Thats not true. The screen is bright and vibrant and the picture quality is crystal clear. For 87 bucks this is a steal. I have no complaints whatsover. I already had a Samsung 1080p 21.5 inch, so I didnt need to by 2 for my dual monitor setup; however, Id have no problem buying a second one if I needed it. The critical reviewer might have had a point if he paid the price of an enthusiast grade 4K IPS G-sync monitor, but he didnt. This is beyond decent for the price. You dont have to hesitate to jump on this deal.

What a Great Monitor! I actually bought this monitor for my son, another gamer in the house, who also does graphics and watches streaming video. This is the THIRD monitor from ACER we have bought over the years. ((The old P241W monitor that is about 8 years old now it STILL one of the best I have seen even though it is not LED lit. It is a 2ms response!)) The new one looks just a good if not a bit better with the LED lighting and handles all the games, movies, and photo editing very well. It uses very little power as shown through a backup UPS battery, and it runs cool, bright, and no issues with action movies or games with a 5ms response time. Started out with DVI connector but switched to HDMI. Easy setup with Windows 10s tool for screen and text. Im impressed, and that is from a tech and builder of computers since 1979! I would buy another Acer monitor in a heartbeat!

This is a beautiful monitor and I love the brightness of the display. I havent even adjusted the colors or brightness yet, as I was satisfied with it right out of the box. The monitor is super light and thus easy to pick up and move around. The stand was a piece of cake to attach; the 2 screws were already set in place all that was needed was a flathead screwdriver to secure the parts in place after connecting them. Nice feature, not having to dig around a bag of tiny screws. There are mounting points on the back if you wish to mount this display, which isnt very typical at this price level (another bonus). Shockingly, Acer even includes all the cables you need, VGA, DVI, and HDMI. I ordered an HDMI cable along with this, as I was unaware they would be included (oh well, one cant have too many HDMI cables). That right there is another great bonus for this monitor and price point. The only con to this device is its speakers, which is to be expected for most monitors under $200. The sound quality is fairly bad and tinty, so you may want headphones or external speakers for your PC. But I cant knock off a star for this, because most monitors at this price range dont have built-in speakers, and bad sound is better than no sound until I purchase some speakers for my recent pc build. The ports for your video cables are all in the back and open to get to. Ive used monitors before that had the ports tucked underneath the mounting of the stand to the back that were a real pain to get to. So thanks to Acer for having common sense and ease of use in mind. So far I have played GTA 5 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive using this monitor. My experience was pleasant with no flaws. I purchased this monitor (the 24") on Black Friday for only $99. I see it is now $139.99. I would honestly purchase this monitor even for the $139.99, as it is overall fantastic for this low, budget-friendly price.

Bought this monitor to build an office computer for my friend. Here are some things that stood out: PROS 1. Looks very crisp and is high definition. 2. No dead pixels on arrival, thats a plus! 3. Gloss frame looks professional with a low blue light on the bottom right thats the power button 4. Has speakers, but theyre not strong. I thought this was a plus because at least you hear a bit of sound if your audio isnt setup yet 5. Easy to setup mount; tilts about 20 degrees maximum 6. Non-reflective matte screen CONS 1. Not really "ultra" thin. Its thin, but not necessarily ULTRA. 2. No headphone jack; but you can use your computer rig for that, no big deal My job was complete and my friend was happy with the purchase. Definitely a win!

Great monitor in terms of picture, although the built-in speakers are terrible and there is no headphone out. So theres no way to send the audio from the HDMI to any external speakers. Thats a problem for something like an xbox one and some newer set-top boxes that output sound mainly through the HDMI cable. But then again this is listed as a "monitor" not as a "tv." As long as whatever device you use with it has a separate option for Audio Out and you have some nice external speakers, youre good. Anyway, besides that, this product is a great value for its price and works wonderfully. The graphics and response time are good enough for me to do everything from gaming with an xbox to editing photos on my PC. I just wouldnt recommend this unit for people that arent tech savvy. The sound thing might frustrate them. And then theyll have to ask you for help

I bought two for a basic dual monitor setup at home and they work quite well. There are better resolution monitors out there but you will pay an arm and a leg for them and if you are not a gamer such as myself these are great at this price point. There are not as many adjustments to the picture that can be made on these in comparison to higher end models but that is expecter at this price. The blue light filter setting Will not allow you to set your screens bellow about 60% brightness which is my biggest complaint (I like to turn my monitors way down). They are very hard to beat at this price range and size.

These are the best monitors (I use 2) I have ever had so far, and the price was simply crazy low. The colors are great and identical on both monitors. In my case, my gpu only had 1 DVI out but had multiple display output ports and 1 HDMI out. I thought the second monitor attached via an HDMI cable was at first showing muted colors, until I played with the driver UI. After getting frustrated having to reset the colors after every screen reset, I got the idea of using the included HDMI-to-DVI converter that came with the monitor. That worked like a charm. So I have the second monitor hooked up from the GPU using HDMI out then going through the HDMI-to-DVI converter and into the monitor. For whatever reason HDMI sucks. I dont use the built in speakers on the monitor so I dont miss it and now I dont have to worry about resetting colors.

UPDATE: After replacing my HDMI to mini-displayport cable, I stopped having the blinking issue. Im giving it 5 stars because I think for the price range its worth it. If you want to have a super high quality monitor, you really need to shell out way more than the $105 or so that I paid for this. The buttons for adjusting the display and volume are weird and touchy. You cant really see the buttons since theyre on the underside, and its hard to tell what youre pressing by feel alone since theyre pretty much flat. Youd think changing the volume would be simpler than this but Ill probably get used to it. Otherwise, it works, its just what I needed, and I havent run into any other problems. (ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW) Im going to have to get a second cable to test if my hdmi to mini displayport is to blame, but Ive had this set up for less than an hour and have seen the monitor display blink black several times now. Id read reviews of people experiencing this and I knew I wasnt getting a top dollar product - I dont have top dollar to spend - but I didnt think it would start RIGHT AWAY and it makes me really nervous about how long this thing will last me. It also didnt connect initially, and Ill have to be careful about turning the monitor on first and see if thats a repeat issue. Ill update this review as I see how this pans out.
