Great monitor compared to my old one! Everything was great out of the box and it came with a dvi-d cable, the only problems i have with this monitor are the brightness is way to bright and the settings menu is very hard to navigate and control.

I bought two of these monitors. I loved the price and the look. The monitor is easy to put on the stand. It is at an angle which is a bit annoying. I ended up mounting both monitors on a Vivo Monitor stand. I do want to warn you if you want to use this at 144hz on a laptop you need to use Dual Link DVI which is a pain in the butt to find one. I ended up buying an Apple Dual Link DVI because it was the cheapest I could find on ebay. I am currently waiting for it to arrive and I will update the review when I receive it.; I will update the review one I have it. I do use one monitor on VGA and the other on DVI for my work laptop which has a dock so thats okay. I My gaming laptop though I connect through HDMI for now, but unfortunately its stuck at 60hz. Overall Id say as someone else said I wish I would have not bought this for my laptop since its a pain to find a Dual Link DVI wish this monitor had display port those are easier to find mini-display port to display port adapters.

After using this monitor for almost a month I am finally ready to review the Acer GN246HL 144hz monitor. I will go over the pros and cons of this monitor. Pros: -Cheap(This is normally about 200 bucks on amazon but sometimes it goes even under 200 bucks) -The difference between 60 hz and 144 hz is very noticeable you have to try it in person to really see it. -It has 3 inputs: DVI-D, HDMI, and VGA (Please for the love of god dont use VGA). Having a HDMI port means that I can still play on my consoles if I feel like it which is very good for me. Cons: -The biggest issue I had with this monitor was that it had quite a bit of ghosting on it when I compare it to my Acer XB280HK 4K monitor (Pictures are down below first one was this monitor the second picture was the 4K monitor) -This is not much of a issue for me personally but I thought I would point this out in this review is that it takes several seconds for this monitor to turn on which could be a issue for someone that wants quick boot times. Conclusion: Now do I recommend the Acer GN246HL 144 hz monitor and the answer is yes for the price point this is a very worth while product. I could not review the stand since I used my VIVO Monitor arm instead of the factory stand.

I bought this to replace a 13 year-old HP LCD monitor that had served me well, and I decided to make the upgrade to 144Hz. Friends tell me "once you try 144Hz you cant go back to 60Hz," but so far I dont really notice a huge difference, and honestly Im still debating returning this and buying another 60Hz monitor for half the price. Anyway, this monitor seems to have good build and picture quality. Not much to say there, Im happy overall. Well see if it holds up with time. I have two minor complaints. One, the stand is not adjustable. This may be a big deal for some people as the screen is flat, not curved, and the edges will look washed out if they are at a bad angle with your eyes. Two, the display required a lot of calibration before it looked anything close to normal. Out of the box the brightness and contrast were set to 100, and I dropped them down to 30 and 50 respectively. Then I had to play around in my GPU settings to finish the job; I have attached a picture of them (AMD).
