Great picture, no dead pixels. The stand is bare bones, yet stable. I ended up putting this on a wall-mount arm. Freesync is great, I have pushed it with a r9 290x, and I am currently using a Red Dragon Vega 56 which has been a sweet spot at 1440p. Over all very happy with the monitor.

When I originally added this monitor to my cart, it was listed for $259. At the time, I was looking for a replacement monitor for my wifes ancient Asus VE278H, which still works fine but utilizes a TN panel so the colors and viewing angles are not great by any means. Then a couple of days ago, I saw that this monitor was going for $159 and I didnt hesitate to buy it. Once I received it, I mounted it to my wifes desk and used my Datacolor Spyder5Pro monitor calibrator to perfect the color representation. I am more than satisfied with the purchase and my wife loves the curved screen and rich colors. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an awesome value in a gaming/photo editing monitor.

I had been shopping and comparing features and qualities for a gaming monitor for about 6 months – I wanted: 27” to 32”, curved, 4K and hi-refresh rate – there are a few to compare and size up at those specs – once I understood the panel types (IPS, VA and TN), free-sync and all that, I knew what to look for and at what price – The monitors amazon carried, that I liked, are: a couple of MSI models, Acer, Sceptre, BenQ just to name a few – since this is my first BIG, late model gaming monitor, refresh rate was important – also quality and resolution – then price – here’s what I found: a lot of comparable features from known brands – and varied pricing – I decided not to go with 4K since refresh was nominal 60 hz and any faster was way expensive – so, I decided to go with 2K and 144 hz – once I carefully considered my space and proximity, 27” would be excellent (it’s actually huge) – so with that, I narrowed the field to Acer, Sceptre and MSI (specs and price) - Having read the reviews, all 3 were rated 4 stars by hundreds of buyers - The MSI models were not sold thru amazon prime and would take over a week to arrive, and they’re kinda pricy (rgb and other fancies) – the Sceptre was over $70 more than the Acer, with all the same specs – so, I chose the Acer ED273 – the most recent reviews said the Acer was a very good choice and I agreed that this has the best features and value – I was right! This is a great monitor, it was ready to play right out of the box and, overall, it has exceeded my expectations – Here’s a few things of interest: build quality, excellent - overall aesthetics: thin bezel, slim design (no big bulges), nice finish, flat matt screen, just right curve, excellent picture quality – the stand is heavy with a metal base and reinforced vertical post and mount (vesa 100) – My only gripe would be the separate power brick – but for the price, I’m OK with it – the port sockets are located center-back facing down – this makes it difficult to find and insert the video and power connectors – you’ll also get an HDMI and DP cable each – tried as I might, I couldn’t find any info on cable length (my desktop setup requires a longer cable, at least 6’), so instead of ordering a longer cable, I’d wait and see if the shipped cables would work – they didn’t – they are about 4’ long – a little short for me – so I used a 6’ HDMI cable I had laying around until I received an ordered 6’ DP cable from prime (about $10) – on HDMI the refresh is capped at 120 hz – with the DP cable I’m now using, refresh is the full 144 hz – So, overall, I’m very happy with the Acer ED273 – quality, features and price combine to make this an excellent buy – it comes packaged double boxed and incapsulated in foam, plastic film and protective cloth - 5 stars!

I love this monitor! At $219.00 for a curved, IPS monitor, that has amazing controls... whats there not to like? I run a triple monitor system, and this is the heart of my visual system. I do photography and videography, and this monitor is the one I view my actual production on. I have two other IPS monitors, but this is the heart of the system. I have calibrated it to match my printers, and the images come out matching dead on. Thats important to me. It also is quite great to use as a television and the curve really makes the experience feel better than my other flat screens. It has quite a lot of flexibility in adjusting brightness, color, etc. That is imperative for what I do. Granted, its not a super high end 4K or 8K monitor, but for the buck, theres a lot of bang! No regrets on my purchase at all!! (Unpaid, unsolicited, and a review done because I thought the unit deserved my time.. as it is the heart of what I do daily)

I purchased this monitor on Black Friday because of its excellent value proposition but there are some important factors to consider before purchasing this monitor. For the money, you are getting a curved 1440p VA panel that supports Freesync from 48-144hz which is an excellent value. The stand only supports tilt adjustments so it’s not great but if you need more adjustments the VESA mount compatibility is a big plus. For me the two main downsides are 1) the size and 2) the brightness. First, I understand that the 32” screen size is part of this monitor’s allure, but that also means larger pixels. If you sit with your face less than three feet away from your monitor I would consider purchasing a 27” 1440p monitor because the pixels will be noticeable. Second, and I wish it was listed on this product page, at 250 nits, this monitor does not get very bright so if you’re used to using a 350nit monitor at its max brightness you will notice that difference as well. If those two things aren’t an issue for you, then this monitor is a great buy.

Colors are beautiful, games are smooth. I wasnt sure how Id like the curved screen, but its awesome! The only thing I dont like is that the base is a little wobbly, but its not that big of a deal.

So I ordered this and within 10 minutes of setting it up, I notice dead pixels. I contacted Amazon, and they sent out a replacement. I figured I received a bad one. Well, today, I received the replacement and once again, dead pixels. I dont know how many of these end up with dead pixels, but I warn people to stay away from this one. If it werent for the dead pixels, it would have been a great monitor. But unfortunately, the quality isnt there.

This 144hz VA 1920x1080 monitor is great for everything a gamer and productivity user would need. The colors are great, the angles are okay, and the build of the monitor just is the icing on the cake. This monitor measures in at 2 feet long and 1 1/2 feet tall, it has great port selection that includes, HDMI2.0, DVI, and Display Port along with a audio jack. The curv on the monitor can really only be noticed when your first get the monitor. The bezels" *end of LCD basically* measure in at around 4mm on the top and sides. The monitors bottom bezel is this amazing flat black with a silver acer logo, but the back is plastic. This monitor supports a vesa mount and comes with a nice but slightly disappointing stand. Id recommend this monitor for sure! The only downsides i see to my monitor is this slight goasting effect on the edges of the display. PS if your stuck on a TN or VA screen get a VA screen. TN has terrible viewing angles as bad as some phones i had in the early 2000s. **2018 update** I have been using this monitor for almost a full year now and i have to say its one of the best monitors i have owned, there are some gripes i have with the display panel itself and some weird ui and software limitations i dislike but truthfully overall this monitor is an amazing purchase for those of you on a budget. The downsides of this monitor are limited but they still are noticeable things such as light bleed around the edges and yellowing to the right side of the display. The glossy plastic on the back of the display is just a fingerprint magnet and scratches easier then anything i have.

This was my experience with HDMI connected to a laptop. Review of the 31.5 inch monitor. Whenever I turn on the computer it takes several attempts of turning on the monitor for it to actually display anything other than a black screen. The display lags. LAGS. I can play a video on YouTube or Twitch and on my laptop the video will be playing smoothly but on the monitor, itll freeze after a few seconds. Only when I move my mouse over the video will it resume playing (from where it is currently, not from where it froze). When I stop moving my mouse, it will freeze again after a few seconds. Obviously I dont want to move my mouse constantly to watch anything. I play some League of Legends and the frame rate will be super choppy while silky smooth on the laptop. The frame rate is syncd to 60 due to the refresh rate (and this laptop by itself can push 150+ FPS on League) so theres no reason it should be so choppy. The frame rate in the game itself does not drop below 60 FPS yet still turns choppy so its definitely the monitor. The inbuilt speakers for the monitor are so bad its not even worth reviewing BUT whenever I put my computer to sleep, the monitor will do some sort of muffled "boompf" from my own speakers that are connected to the monitor. Its not loud enough to give you hearing loss or anything but it is noticeable and I worry that this garbage fire of a monitor may actually be damaging my speakers whenever I turn my computer off. My old 32 inch TV was in every single way better for gaming than this gaming monitor. Perhaps this monitor would do better on a desktop PC (mine isnt here at the moment so I cannot test it) and may be better with a VGA/DVI port instead of HDMI but my laptop doesnt support it. Do not recommend. Save your money and time (and possibly your speakers). Will try to get a refund for this useless screen.

So far everything is working and arrived in good shape. At first glance I will admit I wasnt sure it was curved. I have a Samsung Curve and their curve has a bit more bend to it, alright on to the actual review. NOT DOA - whew (my box had serious gouges from what looked like a sharp metal corner in several spots), no dead pixels either... Im winning at this point. Assembly was a cake walk, pulled it out and plugged right into the stand with a single screw (decent quality). Both the monitor and mount are light, the screen is easy to adjust from a forward/reverse swivel at the base. The button on the back (stick) is easy to use. Ive seen comments that its finicky but honestly my Samsung has a similar selection stick - so I didnt find any issues. This does work with G-Sync or FreeSync - just so you all know - Nvidia came out back in January of 2019 and made more of their monitors universal. Once I had the Nvidia Control Panel up and running (had to update GPU drivers before Win10 would see it) - getting performance and refresh up to 120hz was a few clicks and done. If you want 144hz you will simply have to right click on the background of your desktop - go to display - select the monitor - advanced setting - set refresh to 144hz. I have not played with color tuning just yet, Ive only had the monitor for about 3 days and this was the last item I needed before I built my PC. I plan to play with the colors later and will re-review in a few months. I havent put any games through the ringer on it due to a mobo - m.2 drive issue (thats another review) but I did do a few CPU Bench Mark tests and once the refresh rate was fixed I was wizzing around between 189 - 320 fps on high details. If you use the G-sync you lose fps in order to prevent the tearing - just be aware. I will give a 5th star if it rates one or take one later if something happens - 4 stars is just the highest I will give at this point. If youre trying to decide on size or this one, I can say I was there. 24" is plenty for me. Leaves me with room to expand if I want to, plenty of mount/keyboard room and tower on desk. Great bang for the buck Cons - Ill let you know.
