Acer EB321HQU Awidpx 32" WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS Monitor (Display Port, HDMI & DVI port)

I so wish that I could be writing a rave review for the monitor because there really is so much to like. The handful of specifications that led me to purchase this monitor: 31.5" screen size, 2K resolution, price, and the big one for me IPS (in plane switching) panel. IPS is huge for me when if comes to mitigating eye fatigue, increasing viewable angles and honestly theyre just better than TN or VA panels. This panel seemed to hit the nail on the head specification wise and was really reasonably priced so I purchased one with out hesitation. An added benefit was that the black and white color scheme matches the Yamaha HS8s on my desk. I have had two of these so far, both have needed to be returned after less than a week of owning them. The first one had an intermittent connection issue and the second has a vertical line of dead pixels from top to bottom. I am SUPER disappointed in QA on these things. I honestly may take my chances and order a THIRD Acer EB321HQU just because I want this monitor to work out so badly. If I do actually get my hands on an actual functional unit I will be sure to update this review with my thoughts.

We originally purchased this monitor back in August. We returned it for another one which we also ended up returning. The first one lasted about a week before it started exhibiting problems. In the first case the monitor screen went black and displayed nothing. As a result we put in for a replacement and got a second version of this monitor. That second one had a different but also fatal flaw issue where it would just go blank every 15 - 30 minutes for two seconds at a time. This time we simply returned the monitor and purchased a different monitor. I do not recommend this monitor.

Background: Monitor upgrade with great features. However, defective like on the reviews: broken/black pixel, bottom left of screen; intermittently shuts off/disconnects from PC. Results/Conclusion: Do NOT recommend. Maybe this is a bad batch manufactured at around the same time. At any rate, reconsidering big, electronic online purchases in the future. Also, return was a hassle -- I will update with pertinent information. UPDATE: Getting it to UPS was an additional hurdle because there is no UPS store on this military base (nearest is over 1hr away). My only solution was to wait for the UPS driver at the UPS return box outside of the post office and hand off my package. RESULT: Received a return confirmation email within a couple of hours after handing off box to UPS driver. Overall: Happy I was able to have monitor returned with full refund. Unlikely to purchase another monitor online in the near future.

I am in the same boat as the top critical review for this monitor. I want it to work so badly, but my first monitor I had the green lines all across the screen. I returned it, the second one worked great for a day and now it wont power on again no matter what I try. Extremely disappointed in the quality assurance. Im not sure what Im going to do from here. Debating if I should bother with exchanging it for a different one AGAIN or if I should just return it and go for a new one altogether.
