Its a great monitor, but this description doesnt include the actual model number. The model number I received was a S2817Q. Someone else mentioned they received this model also. If you look on Amazon for that model number, you will notice the S2817Q is priced significantly less with same Amazon Prime shipping. At this time, this one has a price of $345.99, and one listed as a S2817Q has a price of $279.99, or $66 difference.

This is not the screen that is in the image for the product page. It is the screen they show above the product info, not the advertised one. It is the S2817Q, not the U2718Q with the thin bezels. This one claims to have thin bezels, and they are not.

UPDATE 4/2/2019: I just changed the rating to 4 stars from 3 stars. I dont know exactly what adjustment I made but now I like this monitor, although it is very big! Took some getting used to, but so glad the image is very good now. Love the clarity. Below is my old review from when I first got it. OLD REVIEW: Overall disappointed and not impressed. Looks and feels cheap, esp. for $400. Dell has had plenty of time to perfect their products, and this is worth about $150 in my opinion. I dont know why they even bother selling a panel with this much color bleed. You move your head one inch and the hue shifts noticeably. I guess its OK if you are just playing games. But for doing work or web browsing I find it very distracting. NOTE: I got a different item than advertised. I got a S2817Q with a manufacture date of May 2017. So its not a 2018 model. That said, Im still trying to figure out how to adjust it to my liking. I didnt get to see it in a store, so I thought it would be a new model that would have gotten rid of any problems. I really would have expected more quality from Dell at this price. PROS - it is very big, if that is what you are going for - It has decent speakers. Can plug in more speakers in the back. NEGATIVES - the screen is so big that you cannot avoid seeing the problem with TN panels, so for example on a web page with a white background, I see a pinkish tint a few inches wide on each side of the screen. - you can adjust the image, but it doesnt stick. Mine will revert back at a random time, so there is some problem. It happened while I was typing the previous sentence - the buttons are ridiculously small and hard to push. You have to hold the top of the monitor to prevent it from falling while you press a button. - trying to make adjustments to the image is really - no head phone jack

Prompt delivery, easy setup out of box. Just second day of use. Picture is amazing-sharp and crisp. I have visual problems but this monitor is the answer to my visual issue. I have played some music, not a lot, and the sound is extremely good. Im not a "gamer" but I believe those of you who are will really enjoy having this monitor. Pix are fabulous given the high end resolution. My only quibble is the placement of the power button on the lower right of the monitor--I found it difficult to locate and found the ports a little awkward to access--had to place the monitor on its back (on a bed, in my case) to more easily access the ports to connect the HDMI and other cables but got the job accomplished. After further use I will update my review. One of my sons helped me research monitors and his conclusion was too "go for it"! Excellent price for this puppy-- I am very pleased! We have had other Dell computers and laptops in the past so we were not surprised by the craftsmanship and quality of this product. By The Way!, I am using this monitor with my Mid-2013 Apple Mac Book Air, OS High Sierra, V 10.13.3. I highly recommend this Dell Monitor.

I like the monitor quite a lot, havent had any real issues or complaints with it other than it takes a short while to scan for input signals which can be a bit of a problem when trying to get into BIOS on computers as it just takes a while. There is some delay as its a 2ms delay so dont go buying this expecting anything superb for gaming, go with a BENQ or something else if youre getting this for hardcore gaming. If youre getting this for work purposes or some light gaming (what I use it for,) then I cant really see anything wrong with it other than the minor issues stated above.

I suppose I got what I paid for with respects to the display, but the inconsistency in color even moving my head a few inches from one side to the next is beyond distracting. I would return them (I got two displays) but the effort to box them back up again to fit in the packaging is more trouble than its worth. If you do any kind of photo or color sensitive work, avoid these like the plague.

After trying many different monitors and using TVs as monitors this appears to be the one. We are not technophobes we are just regular business owners and just want the right thing the first time. This appears to be it.

I bought two of these because I like using 2 monitors. It was just too much real estate; I had to keep my head on a swivel to view all of it. And they were kind of bright and the colors kind of dull. I sent both of these back and picked up (for significantly more money) a 38inch Curved WQHD LG monitor. It takes the places of 2 monitors nicely.

Very nice monitor. it works and look good as a second monitor for my 27" iMac 2017 5K. I made a 1.5 " stand so the screen would line up with the iMac. It was easy to do with a pice of 2x12 " board

- ease of setup. Though enclosed DVD and no instructions causes confusion. - the display doesnt seem to be exceptional though my computer has the oomph to handle 4K - Its great for use with desk top
