I play video games. I use virtual machines. I bought the 32GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB NVME, 2080 Max Q design of this laptop. The keyboard is stunning and takes a little bit of getting used to. I love the fact they removed the Windows key from the WASD side of the keyboard. The onboard software packed with this is very nice and limited. Gives great functionality of the machine. There are 2 empty slots for additional NVME drives to add. I picked up some 970 EVO NVMEs from Samsung. (NOTE) I have added a picture of what not to do. Please refer to this, otherwise you may think your drive bay is defective. No regrets from purchasing this rig. Also, as a bonus, the footprint is nearly identical to my 3 year old 15" laptop. Even though this is a 17". Also, this laptop is lighter and thinner on top of that. The only thing I may want is to get some sort of second skin to protect the fingerprint magnets that are this matte black. Which is very pretty btw.

Update, have had replacement 2 months now and it works great, glad I gave msi a second chance! Previous review - Used this for 2 days before it tried to boot up, then wouldnt get past the Blue Setup Screen. I had a very positive experience with technical support even though they werent able to solve the problem remotely. Called help line first thing in the AM and only had to wait 5 minutes. Technician was easy to understand, and very candid - said it looked like a bad hard drive, and recommended returning it since it was basically fresh out of the box. Due to my good experience with Tech Support, and the fact that during the 2 days it was up and running, I fell in love with it... I am going to give msi another chance and exchanging it for the same model. I will keep this updated based on future experience.

I spent over 10hrs with HTC support. Finally, figured out its the problem with this laptop. Why? Because I got another vive and the Acer Predator so I can test which one is faulty. Turns out the MSI cant run VR at all. Talked to MSI customer support, they told me to flash the bios. Did that. Same problems persist. I am looking to either return this, or sell it. Pain in the ass trying to troubleshoot.

This laptop was rated #1 on Tech Radar for being the best gaming laptop. I mostly play Fortnite and average around 75 FPS at epic settings. I purchased the Logitech G502 gaming mouse along with the laptop and have been happy with combination. The fans will get quite loud during gaming, so I recommend buying a laptop cooling pad with it. Pros: - Very thin and easy to carry around - Looks nice - Great performance / fast Cons: - Computer gets very hot which causes loud fans

After several months of researching gaming laptops, I chose the MSI GS75 Stealth-093 based on the high-end specs (wont need to upgrade and it should run anything and everything), design, and reviews. I could not be happier with my choice for the following reasons: Prime 2-day delivery, triple boxed for protection, nicely packaged from MSI, beautiful 17" display, SteelSeries Engine 3 MSI Per Key RGB Keyboard (multi-color back lit keyboard with different colors and lighting options), easy to type, track pad works great with lots of features, boot time is short and everything runs incredibly fast even with the highest game settings, and thin and light with a small form factor and the MSI utility software is excellent and very useful. The build and design quality are exceptional. Let me address some comments from other reviewers that may be helpful. Please consider that not every laptop can be perfect for everyone. The laptop has a high-end processor and dedicated graphics, so it will get need to circulate the air to cool down the electronic components. You will hear the fans when they run during heavy gaming to cool the high end CPU and graphics card, but its not obnoxious. The speakers are good considering the laptop is extremely thin and light, but some may expect better. Although MSI reduced the thickness of the power adapter it would be nice if it was smaller. The bloatware is extremely minimal, which I very much appreciated (removed a few games that were probably bundled with Windows 10). I find the screen opens and closes very smooth with the right amount of tension and the hinges are very sturdy. The really bad 1 star reviews appear to be fake, probably from a competitor. I will update this review as I put in more time gaming and running other applications. At this point, I am 100% satisfied with the MSI GS75 Stealth laptop.

The first thing i noticed about the MSI GS75 was the weight, at 4.8 pounds you would think no way this thing is going to perform like the heavy weights in its class. I was so wrong not only did it perform it didnt even break a sweat with COD4 and a 4K UHD movie running with excel heavy formulas being performed. 3 hrs of heavy use and the fans came on about 45 mins into the tasks. I love the black and gold design with the slim bezel and light weight, couldnt be happier. My only grip in the power cord easily slips out the charging port because of the weight and gauge of the cord. All an all the MSI GS75 - 093 is the best option for those wanting a super multi use laptop. 5 yr protection plan purchased also.

Yep Im a bit crazy about this laptop. Personally I think its worth the money for it. In fact I would say it is the best laptop I have ever owned. Sure its expensive and maybe not more than 20% better than previous generation of laptops, but it is well made and its so nice having 17 inch screen on a thin and lite. You could argue all about GPU performance isnt worth it, but to me its more than that with this machine. It has everything I have ever wanted in a laptop and then some. If it wasnt for the fact I have a kick ass desktop too, I would so replace the desktop with this laptop.

Update: After 3 months of use, the laptop is dying. The SSD is reporting errors, and I cannot return the laptop nor can I file a claim with the credit card company. Save your money and buy something else. MSI doesnt stand behind their products, and I wont every buy another MSI product again. ---- 1 Month after I bought it: I love using this laptop. The keyboard is responsive, the display is utterly gorgeous, and you have many expansion options with the Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port. The graphics card is solid and can power 4 displays (itself plus 3 external monitors). Some minor gripes: battery life isnt as good as reviews claim; the Thunderbolt 3 port only has a single display channel (no multi-stream support); no USB-C charging and a second power adapter is expensive; I had difficulty getting the HDMI port to work at 4k @ 60 Hz and instead rely on the mini-DisplayPort adapter for this instead. I use the laptop for gaming and work. I tried dozens of accessories for my perfect work/gaming rig. For those who want to power more than 3 external displays, pair it with the USB 3.0 Dell D3100 Docking Station. I also use it with the Anker USB C Hub, 5-in-1 USB C Adapter. If you want a solid KVMP switch compatible with this laptop, use the HDMI IOGear GCS1794 for 4k @ 30 Hz. I havent found any switch that works reliably at 4k @ 60 Hz.

Purchased this computer for my son. He loves it! It was a perfect match for him. It’s only been a month, and he uses it a lot, and we have had no issues with it. We did purchase the protection plan in case.
