The laptop was delayed during delivery by a week. Once it arrived, it didnt turn on at first. On the third try it did boot-up. I received an error message that the battery was incompatible and would not charge. Also, the wifi card would not turn on. I used the ethernet port to update windows, hoping that it would fix some issues. It did not. I then spent a couple of hours chatting with tech support and they were not able to resolve the issues. I returned the laptop the next morning. I would be hard pressed to think of more ways for this purchase to disappoint. Im just glad I was able to send it back in time for me to purchase another laptop from a different supplier before Christmas. Its a good thing I tested the laptop before I gave it as a broken present.

Laptop came with physical damage breaking 2 usb slots. I am not sure how this laptop got qualified for certified refurbhised. Webcam, speakers operating system all work fine but the physical damage on the laptop is very big. See pictures.

The Lenovo T430 arrived timely, about 3 days ago. However after carefully discharging the battery and charging it full, it died within two hours. Twice or three times before I called and the man promised to send a new battery. One sticker in the computer said it had windows 7. another on the outside said it had windows 10 pro, so I used the latter key and downloaded windows 10. today, I tried to download Linux, which was promised to work. It wouldnt load, then said the windows 10 system was too old to run the Obungo, or whatever it was, Linux. I tried to update the windows 10 three times. Eah time I got to 100 % download and refused to work. Then I spent two hours with Deepshika from Microsoft while he promised to fix the windows software, incuding his erasing 60,000 windows files from my computer. Then while my computer crept from 87% downloaded to 92%, Deepshika left the call. Ordered replacement battery and got whole replacement identical computer. Upon instructions from computer to update software, including BIOS using Lenovo Vantage, I tried. After an hour, and hours since, the computer will not reboot. I searched Google for "T430 bios update fails" and got 66,300 hits.

There was some issues, when avast is installed keyboard has been blocked! We tried for all possible ways to unblocked it, but finally, we unblocked it. I didnt know that laptop was used before!! and its so old model, that when I lost my charger none of computer shops had it! They realized me that system is changed from windows 7 to windows 10. So I sold my old laptop to buy this one and its maybe even older! seller is a liar and trying to play smart. Fan started to work so loud after 2 months that it was impossible to stand it! When I brought it to computer store- they change it for new and they said" that it was working for so many years, so it got dirty!" I felt ridiculous, couse I thought that I have new laptop!! Unfortunately I realized it way too late for return! Im very angry!

The battery that came with this laptop was not compatible, also the VGA port is not working properly. We decide to buy a separate battery form our side and to buy an adapter for the VGA port. We connected the monitor using the VGA adapter to the mini HDMI port. The only thing good about this products was the price, but I never thought that Amazon will sell a laptop or computers on this condition.

This laptop does run wonderful. However I am DISGUSTED with the company I bought it from (Blazing Prices). They shipped the laptop WITHOUT the power cord and I had to borrow one to charge it. Secondly the battery refuses to hold charge. Whenever I email and try to contact the seller I keep getting the run around. They emailed me on 3 different threads and each thread (2 of them by a rep named David) they pretended to not know the situation and refuse to give me any relevant information on how I am to proceed.

To get the nice parts out of the way first: The laptop arrived on time and very securely packaged. Unlike other reviewers mine came with the charging cable. Windows 10 was installed and almost ready to go (see below), with all drivers seemingly working. Benchmarking it came up with about what youd expect out of an almost 8 year old laptop. Nice stuff out of the way: The laptop came disgustingly dirty. Look at the pictures, tell me Im wrong. Every inch of this thing was covered in scratches, dirt, grime, and dust. This laptop has some MILES on it. Im not sure what Amazons definition of "RENEWED" is but apparently even wiping the thing down wasnt on the list. Additionally, the copy of Windows 10 was installed with an invalid product key. I did not attempt to verify the sticker on the bottom of the device, but the last 4 digits did not match. So yeah... this thing is going back. Too bad, I really like the laptop otherwise and will probably take some time to find a gently used one elsewhere, rather than roll the dice on another "Renewed" unit.

First, these look to be high quality refurbs and they are. But, a couple issues. One: all the people on here complaining about poor battery life - its not the battery, its the power supply. Seller ships with 65W power supply. Lenovo requires 90W. Contact Seller and request correct 90W power supply, or buy one on Amazon for like $15. Two: I ordered T430, and seller shipped T430s. There are differences between the models - not necessarily good or bad differences, just differences. I contacted seller to request correct power supply; havent received after nearly a week. Had to purchase them separately. Seller said they would ship them and an RMA for the 65w power supplies (havent received either). I order these for price-sensitive customers. They are otherwise, exactly as descrived and function very well. The Lenovo Thinkpads are work horses in business., New, they can easily be $1200-1800 - and in previous lives, I have purchased them at those prices direct from Lenovo and was happy with them. For the price here, these are an excellent value, even if I have to purchase the correct power supply as I did in this case. **Update 2/24/18 - Seller shipped correct 90W Lenovo power supplies. No RMA for the 65W, but they made the deal mostly right. The differences between the T430 and T430S arent significant enough for me to return the laptops, though for some, may be a deal breaker. Check before you play with it. **Update 5/24/19 - ordered additional - the T430 they sent me today did not include a TPM chip on the BIOS. It is 4 yrs old (which is fine), but it didnt have a TPM chip. If you are intending to encrypt this - make sure you are getting one with a TPM chip. I just wasted 4 hours imaging one.

Was not impressed with this vendors packaging job. Laptop was bouncing around loose in the inner box, which was bouncing around loose in the outer box. I really wish REFURB companies would not install trial version of MS O-365 SW, this one installed 3 different languages which takes about 5+ minutes per language to uninstall, if you hit all the right buttons that are in a foreign language. I also, dont appreciate having to uninstall ESET Security. I prefer my REFUB to have a clean Windows 10 OOBE with no software added, thank you. Back lit keyboard on this one is extra lame, I have previously purchased 3 of this model that had excellent back lit keyboards. WI-FI 5G failed to connect, 2G works fine. Keyboard and Screen are bright and clean. i5 quad core is fast! Solid State Hard Drive boots up and ready to work in about 7 seconds.

I purchased this for my mother after she was having problems with an HP she had bought only LAST YEAR. Thankfully, I think this Lenovo will last her a bit longer. The processor isnt a contender with the 7th or even 6th generation chips, but it definitely runs Windows 10 Pro fabulously and has no issues multitasking. Im a bit upset that (for whatever reason hardware/software/magic) I couldnt get the wireless networking device to function. It simply would not turn on. I settled getting a USB adapter for only $10 so Im not bothered by it too much; it is something to be aware of though. Overall, Im actually considering buying another for myself as a on-the-go secondary. If you need something cheap, lightweight and portable, I cant see a better bargin than this laptop.
