After I received this laptop I sat it up according to voice directions from Cortana and Windows 10. I had so many issues with the setup that I had to reset it to factory settings. As I was reading thru the enclosed printed material, I realized that it was possibly a Sams Club edition with 2 year free support and warranty. I am also disappointed with the speed, considering that it has an 8th generation I7-8550U processor. I did research and discovered that this processor extends the battery life and perhaps this is why it is slow. things I like about this laptop are X360 convertible. It can be used in tablet mode or tent it for watching movies. It does stay cool compared to my other HP convertible. The picture is FHD and is very nice and the sound is typical B&O which has been in the past 3 HPs Ive purchased with overall good sound for built in speakers. My favorite thing is the back lit keyboard which is worth the extra money. I paid $779 with 12 month SAC free financing but you can find it for around $729 from other sellers on Amazon. Overall I really like this laptop. I suggest you do your research and decide if you want a laptop that is slightly on the heavy side and a slow processor. I prefer 15.6" screens and I dont mind the extra pound weight. If you want a lighter 15 inch laptop you will have to step up to the $1,000 bracket. So the trade off is all the features of a more expensive laptop vs. a little heavier laptop. And also shop around for prices. I found it on the HP website for $849 paid $779 on Amazon and found it as low as $689 on eBay.

For the price offers all the guys of 2 in 1s twice the price. I have had my computer for a few months now and am still amazed by its ability to run my design software without slowing down in the slightest.

I can’t find anything to complain about at this point. It is very light, very thin, and appears to be well-made. It’s pretty fast. But if there was one thing to complain about, I would change the position of the headphone jack

Im a Mac person but for my work I need to use PC. Yes, I know with a Mac you can create virtual machine and have windows running which I have on my iMac. I wanted a laptop specifically for work and got this one. For being a Mac user I really like this PC. The touch screen works great, nice and light weight and overall a nice looking laptop. I think this was a good value for the money.

When I just started using the laptop, it was very quiet, I barely heard anything. I didnt use it much at all since I have a desktop at home and I bought this one purely for school that starts in fall. So one day when I used it surfing internet, all of sudden there came this noise from the fan. It is still quieter than my desktop, but I really missed when it was no noise at all during the first couple days. Not sure if I should contact HP service.

This thing is brand new with the i7 processor upgrade and it takes 15 seconds for the menu to come up when you click the windows button. Everything has to be clicked on two or three times for it to take. Restarting takes 10 minutes . Probably sending this junk back
