Ive had this laptop for a couple of days now and so far so good BUT its by no means mind blowing. Compared to other laptops with very similar specs this one is at the more affordable end. The specs are pretty much average for whats current/common right now and its definitely aesthetically pleasing. I purchased the icicle Gold color and just to give you a heads up it isnt a true Gold. It has a slight hue of a pink undertone to it. Its not a full Rose Gold but its still something to consider when choosing this color (Im fine with it). Its no MacBook but ASUS did a damn good job making this one look premium at a DISTANCE. Once you get to laying hands on this thing you realize where theyve cut corners. I guess thats what happens when they try to keep a 15.6 inch laptop on the lighter end for the size and the price. The bezel is definitely on the thinner end of plastic. You can easily pull it away from the screen with a little pull of the tip of the finger (as displayed in the photo). The quality reminds me of when Samsung first came out with the Galaxy line of phones. The Galaxy had potential at being a premium phone but it was lacking the premium feel with the removable plastic battery cover. Well, Im glad those days are gone and they finally got it right. As another reviewer mentioned, theres something off about the trackpad. Not all the time but sometimes as Im trying to hold the left click button and using my other fingers to drag/scroll down a page it lags or makes the page uncontrollable and jerks back and forth. I would have to completely stop and try it again till I get it right. If your planning to watch movies or even YouTube on this thing guess again. Videos and movies lack a smooth watching experience. Would I recommend this Laptop? Well that depends what you need it for. In my case I specifically purchased this one for my online college courses and Im ok with it (It does what I need it to do). If your looking to purchase this for gaming or a whole theater experience (Including crappy audio)....Umm, guess again.

I really like this laptop. I have owned all the name brand ones from Dell and HP. After lots of reading and checking review sites for comparable laptops, I decided that the Asus would most meet my needs. So far I really like this laptop and love the colors that were available. I would never buy a laptop that does not have an SSD drive.

This computer had all the features I wanted but I just didn’t $700 like it. I tried but it just felt short. I’m not computer wizard. I don’t need a powerful machine. I mainly use it to remote into work. But I wanted a key pad, a light up keyboard and it had to be as close to 3lbs as I could get it. I’m tired of lugging my heavy one around but it had so may bugs. I only had it a couple of days and fingerprint touchpad had already stopped working and screen was glitchy. I returned it. Oh and I got the gold and white and I couldn’t tell it wasn’t a boring ol’ silver one unless I held it up to another silver computer.

I purchased this laptop for my graduate studies and feel it was a great buy! I have had a lot of crappy computers over the years and really needed something that would last for several years, was light and easy to travel with, and was fast with long battery life for when I am at school. I found that in this computer. I have had absolutely no issues. I did an incredible amount of research, but was not willing to spent over $1000 for a Macbook. This was the best comparison I could find to a Macbook, and Im really glad I chose this!

Ive had this laptop for about a month and a half. Overall, Id say its a pretty good buy. I use this laptop to develop my software on and so far, it hasnt presented too many issues. The only problem Ive had with it is the wifi icon shows thats I have no internet connection (blank wifi icon with asterisk above it), but I DO actually have internet access. I tried fixing it several times with no luck. However, Im not sure this is a problem with the laptop itself or a problem with Windows 10. Other than that, everything is good. The battery life could be a little better, but its not such a huge deal, at least for me. It runs quick, is easy to setup, and just looks great. Obviously, its not the best laptop and probably wont blow anyone away with its performance, but if you can get this for sub-$700, I think youd have a good deal on your hands regardless.

My computer crashed and I tried out an HP, Dell, then settled on this computer. I love it so far. It is lightweight and very good quality. It was easy to set up. I love the lighted keyboard because I take it home and work from my recliner some nights.

For its current price, this laptop has everything you want and more. While it doesnt have a touch screen like other higher priced laptops, this ASUS more than holds its own against them. I use this laptop for school and work 5 days a week and on the weekends for personal use and it works perfectly. Ive had it for more than 4 months and it works just as well as when it was opened. The speed is great with excellent audio and screen display. The keyboard is a breeze to work with. I have nothing bad to say about this laptop. Highly recommended

Super fast boot and start times for most apps like office suite, chrome, Firefox etc. Screen quality is amazing. Speakers are great but not too loud. Thats my only grudge.

Light and fast, the laptop performs very well. The ergolift hinge is great if I am using the laptop on a table, however when its on my lap, the hinge pinches the skin right above my knee sometimes and can get a little uncomfortable. Other than, a great laptop.
