Well I bought this knowing I was going to do a few things to it but for the price it’s a great deal. Things I did that made this laptop AWESOME!! 1st I replaced the thermal paste with a quality paste to help with over heating. Works great! Then replaced the Sata SSD with the Samsung 970 NVME m.2 and added a 500gb Samsung Sata 2.5” SSD for storage. Added 8gb more of ram to total 16gb total. All this I did before ever booting it. Then on 1st boot loaded windows 10 pro fresh install and man does this thing rock! The temps aren’t bad at all compared to a lot of the reviews. Maybe the Arctic 4 thermal paste I used? Anyway. Great laptop for the price even without all the upgrades. Sure I could have bought a system with all these upgrades already but not for the price I paid for the laptop and upgrades combined. Highly recommend this laptop. A+++ for me!!

My intent for this laptop was to replace an aging desktop. I didnt want to sink money into an old desktop anymore. This has been a good replacement. I am using this for C++ development (wanted the 8750 for fast parallel compilation). I am also using it for games. I play modded minecraft, but this laptop cannot run a recent large modded minecraft pack as it just doesnt have enough ram out of the box. I intend to add another 16GB to help with this. This computer does run Space Engineers very well at 1920x1080 on high settings for most settings. I noticed a delay when running at 3840x2160 and some screen tearing. This is on a 43" HDMI TV at 30Hz update rate. I hardly use the laptops screen at all. For compiling program and development this is great. It compiles very fast and does parallel compilation very well. This is one of the main reasons why I got it. My desktop had 8 cores and I didnt want a downgrade. Having 12 cores logical is very nice (6x2 because of hyperthreading). The size of the harddrive is a little low as the SSD is only 256GB. I do intend to upgrade to a 1TB PCIe drive soon (M.2?). I tested the SSD and it operates at 500GB per second for read/write. I used Crystal Disk Mark 6.0.2 for this test. The PCIe I am planning to get has a 2GB read/write and that is part of the reason for the upgrade. I do plan on adding a 16GB ram chip as I stated before I want to run fully modded minecraft and other memory hog apps as well. I knew the drive and memory were on the low side, but getting larger sizes of these in a laptop from the manufacturer pushed me into the 1100 to 1200 dollar range on price. I can upgrade myself for a better price. At the time I bought this it was $799 which was a great deal. Thank you for that. Picture quality on the laptop screen and external screen is very good. I also use this with a dvd usb player and GOT looks great. I am giving a 5 star rating because I have not run into anything I didnt expect when buying this. I knew what it had in it, what it could do, and it is doing as expected. I did NOT expect it to run Space Engineers at 3840x2160 at all, yet it did. So the graphics card is not bad at all. I dont recommend that setting as it tears a bit and is noticeably delayed on response. I have seen some comments in here on what this has in it that were not correct. This laptop has an SSD and it is reported as such by the benchmarking programs. I have not given a specific rating for the battery life. I have not used it as a portable very much.

Trust me do not buy this laptop. Although the specs look good with a 1050 Ti and a i7 processor, the computer runs games at low FPS. Additionally, you are flawed advertised by the 1050 ti, it is actaully integrates graphics with intel! One game that this pc does not run well is Fortnite with high settings running lower than 30 FPS. For this price range, keep keep looking because there are a lot better options than this. Pros - The design looks good - processor is very fast Cons -The GPU sucks -You will not run games at high FPS -The Laptop is not exactly thin and light making it hard to carry around -Lots of bloatware

Decent laptop, light and relatively sturdy. I got it to do light video editing, and my 2012 Lenovo was not cutting it.. lol Has a few quirks.. like randomly selects a different window without my even touching the machine at all.. trackpad is stupidly sensitive, even on lowest setting.. gets triggered accidentally sometimes or will click/drag/select without intention. Keyboard is very nice, the action and response is good. Though I wish the backlight had more than L,M,H,off as choices. Screen/hinge is a bit torquey. Have to be gentle opening it. Sound is good for a cheap machine. 4 speakers is nice. Only having a small bank of ports on one side will be a bit of a production challenge, but not insurmountable. USB ports are REALLY tight.. afraid of breaking something.. Fans- as others have noted- are not silent, but the sound is not distracting. Mostly just air moving no real Whine to speak of, so I can ignore it. Will post about horrendous shipping in the shipping review area.

I had to return this. Thankfully they accepted for a return. That’s about as good as it got. The computer, brand new out of the box, didn’t work. It started up but kept crashing and leaving me on an update screen. I even left it on over night thinking maybe I was being too impatient and it needed tile to update (I have excellent WiFi) and nope. 0% after sitting all night. It was brand new. Nothing on it.

Well, I bought this to play some mid tier games. Set it up and the very first time I attempted to play a game the fans have kicked into overdrive and even after a forced restart it wont turn on. not sure if a lemon or what, but pretty disappointing as a laptop with such good specs. Without opening a single program, both the CPU and memory kick up to 60-80% randomly. This causes the whole laptop to lag and the fans to go crazy... Hopefully a clean windows install will help but if not, will have to return to buy a laptop that doesnt act that way.

For a budget gaming laptop this is rather worth the price. Not exactly "thin and light" weighing around 2-3pounds so therell be some problem with carrying, but compared to most other gaming laptops its considered light enough. Of course, when carrying I tend to not let the bag fall because the hinge feels rather delicate; it also wont go further than 90 degrees so using it on uneven footing tends to be a hassle on the neck and arm.

This is the best laptop I have ever had.....and I have had at least 20 different systems. The material is brushed aluminum and has very striking features. The lighted keyboard stays lit regardless of time passed and has the gaming keys highlighted. I have run Gears of war and sniper Elite 4 on ultra settings and there is no stumble at all. I love the M2 SSd on the motherboard, it is ultra fast and no lag. Boot times are under 5 seconds. It also comes with room for a standard size HDD along with the HDD caddy. This system can be everything you need, gamer, business etc......You can even lower and quiet the dual fans if the sound is too much. Any way you look at this machine it gets 5 stars.
