I absolutely love this product! I purchased this combo to replace the wireless mouse and keyboard that came with my new computer. I am not a fan of wireless keyboards and mice and the original ones that came with my computer illustrate my pet peeve; theres a lag between when I press a key or click on the mouse and when it registers. I am extremely happy to say the Microsoft 5050 combo is lightning fast. When I press a button on the keyboard or move the mouse, it registers on the screen instantly. I also like the contour of the keyboard with the built in wrist rest. The keyboard itself is very quiet and feels solid. The mouse is also solid with a nice rubberized coating on the sides. This is such a well built product that just works. My only complaint is that the USB dongle is large. It isnt one of the tiny ones used by Logitech wireless products. This Microsoft dongle is the size of a standard flash drive. It isnt a huge deal but I would have preferred a smaller USB dongle that isnt sticking out of the side of my all in one computer.

This keyboard is one of the best I have ever used. It is an ergonomic keyboard well designed. Typing is easy. Installation is very easy. Windows 10 recognized it immediately by model number. The mouse also works great, it works better for me than much more expensive ones I have bought before. The mouse has a lot or programmable features. The keyboard is not large. It fits perfect on my table and does not look bulky or take up too much space. The color and look is beautiful. There are plenty of programmable keys on the keyboard also. It has volume controls and pause and play buttons for music. Has a lot of pre programmed keys on the top rows. I even love the clacking of the keys. The keyboard is very durable and easy to clean. The only problem, if even I can consider it a problem, is that batteries on the mouse do drain pretty fast. I think this is a great value and an excellent keyboard. I love the look of it and the feel of the keys. The mouse, for me, fits my hand perfectly and is easy to use.

Overall these are very nice keyboards and mice. These is the newer model keyboard that replaces the 5000 model in this set. The mouse is the same (5000). This is my third keyboard in 6 years though. The other two had the lettering worn off the most often used keys in 1-2 years of daily use. You will see that often commented on in reviews as well. I hope that MS has resolved that with the 5050 keyboard. There is NO other visible difference between the two models. It has the same extra function/programmable keys which are very useful to me and why I keep coming back to this same product even with the lettering problem. The key stroke on this one feels stiffer, but that may simply be the newness. At any rate, I am happy with this set, at least until the lettering wears off.
