I want to like this mouse so badly. I have been using an M705 marathon mouse for 4 or 5 years now. I love the M705, but the left-click button is totally unreliable, and there are copious negative reviews about this type of reliability issue, so I decided to try something new. In almost every single way except for style, this mouse feels inferior to the 705.. 1) The right edge of the mouse is too narrow for both your ring finger and pinky to grasp the side, so your ring finger naturally rests on the very edge of the seam between the top and right sides. Theres enough space on top to move your ring finger side-by-side with your middle finger on the right-click button, but it just feels wrong to have three fingers on top of the mouse, and forces your middle finger to cram next to the scroll wheel. 2) The contour of the thumb rest doesnt align well with the rest of the mouse. Its like they developed the thumb rest for an entirely different hand position. You can grip it so it feels nice, but the rest of your fingers will move to an incorrect position. 3) The middle mouse wheel is lighter and lower quality than M705. In fly mode, its a lot more floaty and loose feeling. 4) The overall weight distribution is heavily back-weighted.

Best mouse Ive yet used. This one feels the best in my hand – admittedly a very subjective judgment. (Ive used multiple Logitech mice: M705; Anywhere MX; Touch Mouse T630. Multiple Microsoft Mice: Sculpt Comfort Mouse; Wireless Mobile 4000; Sculpt Touch Bluetooth Mouse. And more.) It is very similar in size and shape, to the M705; but the M720 feels better, to me. The mechanism for switching between devices works very well, with no lag time. Having the switching button on top (rather than having to turn the mouse over, as with the T630), makes *much* more sense. Switching is so convenient, I now want one of these on both of my desks -- thereby eliminating having to deal with a different mouse for each device. The build quality is typical Logitech (i.e., high quality). Two year battery life! Highly recommended!

I received this today so this is a preliminary review. When I received it, the case was scratched so I was afraid the mouse might be scratched too. Thank God, it was not. Cons: The mouse is 4.6 ounces so it is not as light as smaller alternatives. However, I like this size and it fits my hand well. Logitech says the battery lasts for 2 years but I cannot comment this at this point. As other reviewers mentioned, the mouse goes to sleep mode pretty quickly to preserve the battery. So when you scroll after a while, it does not respond. You have to move the mouse first, then scroll. Some people may not like this. It looks somewhat cheap. When I received it, I had to clean it. You can sort of tell from the picture that it does not look like a new (not used) product. I cleaned it and it looks decent. The mouse has lots of pros. 1. Using Logitech option, you can map the function of the keys. This mouse has 6 customizable keys (plus gesture functions). Thumb button can be set as mission control, then also add four gestures such as zoom in, desk top, cmd+T, and cmd+W. Yes, you can use cmd shortcut too. 2. Works great with Mac. I am using Unifying receiver for my keyboard so I linked this mouse too. 3. The scroll can be also used for many ways. In addition to scrolling, you can click on it (which you can assign any function you want). Also, you can move the scroll left and right (for which you can also assign the function). I love it so far.

Feels great, very light and smooth. Slightly smaller in my hand than my Logitech G602, but I have smallish hands so its not that big of a difference. The buttons are easier to press, though I wouldnt exactly call the buttons on my G602 "hard to press" - its a luxury I dont need. The click-lock button for the scroll-wheel is also nice but unnecessary, it allows you to toggle between having clicks in the scroll-wheel as you move it or having it be smooth; again, not really something I need. The physical on/off switch theyve been using for at least a few years on their mice is a nice touch (I had an old Logitech wireless mouse for years that had a soft-button for turning it on, so it could turn on in your bag and waste battery power). My work laptop is Windows 7, like many large businesses in 2017 unfortunately. This mouse wont work over Bluetooth because Windows 7 doesnt support Bluetooth Smart Ready, which was designed for IoT and wearables, so I have no idea why a designer/engineer would put this spec of Bluetooth in a mouse (Edit: see comment below regarding Bluetooth Smart Ready). The Logitech K380 Bluetooth keyboard I am using to type this works just fine without that tech, and has a great battery life. Apparently it works with Windows 8 and later with my Dell Precision 5510 work laptop, but obviously I cant upgrade, so -1 star. It does work with the dongle on Windows 7 so its usable, but I bought it for the 3-computer pairing feature which is very annoying (my Logitech K380 connects with three, I wanted to be able to just have one keyboard/mouse combo on my desk at home) and I wanted to finally not have a dongle on my laptop for the first time (Im a programmer, so trackpads are kind of terrible for that kind of work on the regular, and they force you to keep the laptop open and all us geeks prefer to have multiple enormous screens). Update 2017-05-26 (couple weeks after purchase): Works great via Bluetooth with a 6th-gen Intel NUC Celeron with latest Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi 3, and with my Macbook Pro 2012 with latest OSX. For my home setup, I put the dongle on the hub that is connected to my Windows 7 work PC, the other computers connect just fine over Bluetooth. Havent tried on my wifes Macbook Air, but since that is newer hardware than my Pro and has the same OSX version installed, I would assume that it would work with that too. My star-rating still stands, mostly so this review stands out and provides enough detail to help other customers. Id give it 4.5 stars if I could.

I purchased this mouse with the Logitech k480 keyboard as I frequently travel and use multiple devices (Surface Pro, Note 5, Dell Laptop) and did not want to carry 3 mice and keyboards around. So far this has held up well however I recommend pairing this with one of the hard travel cases available to protect the wheel and various buttons as they can be squished with ease inside a computer bag. Ive been pleased with battery life, daily usage has not required a battery switch yet however it is nice knowing all that needs to be done is pop out the AA battery and put in a fresh one. It is also nice to be able to store the wireless dongle with the mouse (I used the Bluetooth connection) incase you need to connect to a 4th device or one that does not support Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth setup was easy and intuitive, you do not need to use Logitechs app to make the mouse work however adding their app does add quit a few nice features including customizing what different buttons do. Bottom line a solid value and durable workhorse.

I use this mouse across 3 devices one Mac, one Windows and one Linux. It works flawlessly and not having to keep track of a dongle is absolutely wonderful. It is comfortable and the programmable buttons make it perfect for all of my devices. This is one of the best mice I have used and it stays comfortable for all day use. The reason that I gave it 4 out of 5 is that some times it does not want to come back on my Mac if it has gone to sleep. I have a Logitech bluetooth keyboard that will wake the mac from sleep but this mouse seems to not want to work some times. Once the mac is awake I get a prompt that there is no mouse connected. When this occurs I have to open spotlight using KB shortcuts and then open the BT menu, once this is open I wiggle the mouse and it repairs. So far this is the only method short of connecting another mouse that I have been able to use to get it working again.

Lured by the notion of combining the Logitech K811 keyboard with the M720 and creating a useable KVM solution, I dived in head-first without thinking about the alternative: K811 + two mice. Having two keyboards on the desk obviously wouldnt fly but two mice on a large mouse pad is quite workable (not need to switch both keyboard and mouse). While not completely dissatisfied with the M720, I found that the quality is not up to scratch compared to the M557 and the G602 that I already own. Dont get me wrong, there are many pros to this mouse: * Good design, well-sculpted and suits a RIGHT-HANDED user very nicely (not a deal breaker for lefties but its a compromise) * Perfect size for medium sized hands. Halfway between a full-sized and travel mouse * Its the only multi-device mouse from Logitech with the switch button on the top! * It has a storage cubby for the receiver (in case you encounter a non-BT device) * Very nicely weighted and glides smoothly on my mouse pad (unlike the M557) * Highly customisable buttons Loses a star for the following reasons: * Rubbery texture prone to scratches and build-up of grime * It looks and feels sort of cheap and plasticky (especially the white base) * Pricey I have the K811 and M720 paired with a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10 and a Mac Mini with Sierra. It works flawlessly. While there is a slight delay flicking between the devices, I find that its a better user experience than a KVM switch or software-based solution (I have tried them all). Probably could have gotten by with just the K811 and a mouse for each computer on the desk.

I am a big Logitech fan, so Im not disappointed in any way with this mouse. However, I *am* disappointed that the Logitech Options software doesnt see my Bluetooth devices on my Mac (High Sierra O/S), and the support person didnt have any immediate answers. They are referring the issue to engineering, but Im puzzled why they dont know whether it should run on High Sierra. If this gets resolve soon Ill update the review and bump it to 5 stars, but for now dinging them for failing on getting Logitech Options to work.

Have had this mouse for about 3 weeks now. I love it. Im finally able to live the dream. I have three different devices on my desk at work and Im able to seamlessly switch between all of them. One is an Ubuntu Linux AIO, the other a Windows 10 tablet, and the last one a Macbook Air. It took nothing to get the Win 10 tablet and Macbook up and running through Bluetooth. I havent used the Unifying Software to be able to copy and paste between two devices, but it really isnt the feature I was after. I dont need to move files around too much thanks to Cloud sharing, but Im very happy the feature is there. I purchased the K380 as well so now I can type and move the cursor on three devices without having to switch to separate input devices for each machine. This has made my life so much easier. Nice work Logitech. For those curious, you need to install an application called Solaar on Ubuntu before the Unifying receiver will work. It requires adding a different repository as it isnt part of the default Ubuntu ones. A quick Google search will explain more in detail, but feel free to ask. As for the mouse itself, it fits nicely in my hand, finger tip hold feels solid and the middle mouse wheel spins comfortably. It took a bit to get used to the thumb buttons as Id always push the one to switch devices when I wanted to go back, however, my hand is used to it now. Logitech added a nice feature where the first click on the device switcher highlights your current device instead of switching it. That may be frustrating to some, but it has saved me from changing devices by accident. Good design all around. Im very happy with my purchase.

It sure was fun spending the first 17 minutes of every day this week trying to cajole this piece of glued-together garbage into working anything like the way it was intended to work. But it was far more satisfying pulverizing it into tiny bits that were barely even recognizable as plastic and PCB. Thankfully, this will be the last Logitech abortion to grace my desk. screw these guys. Every other time I turn my computer off, Logitech Options decides to delete my mouse, leading to an additional 15 minutes of trying to get the software working properly. When it does remember that Ive already installed it 47 times, it just ignores the multiple message that say "[Computer] Connected to Logitech Flow." Logitechs R&D and software development is hot garbage. Maybe someday theyll do something right. Im not holding my breath. This "Logitech Flow" BS works for a few minutes at a time. But if you ever decide to reboot any of your devices, or, heaven forbid, remove one from the room and return with it later, youll more than likely spend more time trying to fix this utter waste of code than you will using it. Also the scroll wheel left tilt is far too easy to activate when clicking the scroll wheel button. Id give it two stars if this joke of a company hadnt dangled a few minutes of interesting connectivity in my face.
