Ive used these marble mice for a long time and I credit them with preventing any mousing injuries. I have done research both professionally and privately and this requires hours of data entry. My hand never gets tired or sore. I can use it with either hand (you can program the buttons if you want to change them up when you change hands.) There IS an adjustment period. Just stick with it - its worth it. Dont let yourself get frustrated if it takes you a while as its for the long term good of your hands! It took me a few weeks when I first got one but now its really easy. This seller had a good price and fast service which saved my bacon when my old one shorted out! ( (I suspect a cat attack) If youre like me, hang onto the marble from the old ones when you get a new one in a few years. Ive lost the marble for a while when I dropped the mouse carrying it from place to place and sometimes my dog steals it! A spare marble is always handy!

At $20 on Amazon, the Trackman Marble is a steal. Its easily the most ergonomic finger trackball that Ive used. The button presses are not obnoxiously loud like other more expensive trackballs that Ive used. While the software might not be the best, using a free program called X-Mouse Button Control allows this mouse to do just about anything you want. I use the two big buttons as left and right mouse click, chord them together for middle mouse. I use the two smaller buttons to turn the whole ball into a scroll wheel, which is super nice. The only thing really bad about this mouse it the sensor - its like 300 DPI. For most displays, which are at least 1080p, this is just unacceptable. Especially when Logitech makes things like the Hero sensor in their gaming mice that go up to like 12,000 DPI; more than the average user needs. Overall, though, I recommend and have bought many of these over the years between home and work - they only break because I try to mod them and Im not terribly great at that process :)

Logitech Trackman Marble Mouse, Four-Button, Programmable, Dark Gray i have been using a Logitech Marble mouse for as long as i have been gaming, possibly since the days of the old Doom, i cannot recall for certain, but it has the speed and flexibility of changing views and going 360 without the awkwardness of a regular mouse. if you are into PC gaming, try it and see the difference. it lasts for years with no problems. Delivery was very fast, the packaging was undamaged, and most of all the price was the best i have found. i certainly appreciate LLYtechs service and recommend them to anyone.

Unfortunately, the Logitech Trackman Marble Mouse is a disposable "use it for a year and throw it out" device. The problem is that the switches for the left and right buttons are not durable and become erratic after about a year. Apparently Logitechs business model is to make quantity not quality. Or in other words, "lets make our stuff just good enough that the customer will not just flee to another manufacturer but will dither and purchase again". Many years ago Logitech made an ergonomically EXCELLENT FX trackball but it only came with a PS/2 connector and Logitech stopped updating drivers for it. I would gladly pay $100 to see it back in production with quality components for both PC and Mac. Ergonomically this Trackman is OK as a basic ambidextrous input device and I often switch it back and forth for left and right hand use because of tunnel carpel syndrome. I have tried others but this one harms my wrists the least. But I grit my teeth and become annoyed whenever I purchase another one.

I have been spending the entire day in front of the computer for many years and recently developed shoulder problems from excessive mousing. I had to get a mouse that lets me vary the position of my hand and the stress on the shoulder. This mouse does that because you move the pointer with your fingers rather then moving your hand. However, learning how to use this track ball mouse has a steep learning curve as it is so different from a standard mouse. It took me a number of days to feel more or less comfortable doing everything I need to do. Scrolling and clicking and moving the pointer is very easy. However, highlighting a chunk of text and doing copy and paste takes more work then an old mouse. It has been slightly over a month since I purchased this mouse and my shoulder is feeling better. Now I use two mice to vary how I use my hand. I still use the old mouse for copy and paste, and I use this trackball for general mousing around. Ali Julia review

First time using a Marble Mouse and I really like it. Mouse takes less space on table than having a movable mouse. It took a bit of practice to get the cursor just where I wanted it but learning curve was not steep or high. I dont intend to ever go back to regular mouse. Even after just a few weeks, when I go to another computer with a regular mouse, it feels strange and somewhat uncomfortable. I dont do graphics kinds of work but if I did, I might have an issue getting the cursor to just the right spot -- the marble tends to roll a bit beyond where I want the cursor (actually, I tend to roll the marble too far -- just need more practice). I only use two buttons, even though marble mouse has four. Recommend for anyone thinking of using marble mouse.

Ive always been hesitant about switching to trackball mice. Theyve felt awkward in some models that I would test out in stores. But I have to say, this one is probably your best shot at making the switch, and after a few days of getting your muscle memory going youll never want to go back to the standard mouse. Out of the box, its simple enough. Plug it in and go. However, because of the lack of a proper scroll wheel, even the Setpoint app you can install from the Logitech site isnt enough. I grabbed an app called Marblescroll, which lets you press and hold the default back button, turning the ball into a scroll wheel. Releasing it lets the button revert to its back function. Also, this special add-on app doesnt automatically activate after rebooting your PC, so all I did was add it to the startup routine. Once that was all done, holy smokes the product is seriously unbeatable. Super smooth and intuitive. Love it.

Being a Right handed person with no desk makes using a mouse frustrating as all hell. Other trackball designs are awkward and their interface is often either "Style" over function, or purely right or left handed. The Trackman is the original (i think) and still the best. Take it from someone who is so dominantly right handed that they can barely scratch with their left, i can set this on my left thigh and work with my left hand like im left handed. Its AMAZING. And it seems designed by a wrist posture pro, being very comfortable to use, with a grippy enough ball and just soft enough clicky buttons (the forward and back buttons take some getting used to). The only downside is that Setpoint (Logitech Keyboard and mouse customization software) wont recognize it if you are using a wireless logitech keyboard. There are solutions to this, but it means that out of the box its a classic, no-scroll Trackman. I really wish there was a wireless trackman like this four button wired model, with a scroll wheel tacked on somewhere like an afterthought (theres room for one on all sides of this thing).

I have had a Trackman Marble Mouse for around 10 years; I have always been pleased with it; I do not know why anyone would not like them; my old one simply was dropped too many times & finally wore out; VERY PLEASED WITH THE NEW ONE!! Thanks! -----SAD UPDATE: AS OF AROUND OCTOBER 1ST, THIS TRACKBALL MOUSE STOPPED WORKING... IT WAS NOT DROPPED ANY; MY HP ELITEBOOK LAPTOP, WITH WINDOWS 10 INSTALLED, WILL NO LONGER EVEN RECOGNIZE THIS MOUSE, EXCEPT TO GIVE A NOTE THAT "THE LAST USB DEVICE.... MALFUNCTIONED AND.... WINDOWS DOES NOT RECOGNIZE IT....... BUT I WILL TRY ANOTHER ONE, AS I HAVE HAD BETTER LUCK WITH THEM IN THE PAST....... Rick

I have used this model of mouse since the 90s. I have owned a countless number of them. I do everything from Gaming (FPS,to MMORPG) to Photo Work. Over the years I have had my issues with the mouse. I wish I could give this a Five Star review but I can not do that. There are some major cons with this mouse that could have been fixed over the years and yet they seem to have gone the other way on it. The mouse came out with metal bearings in the and they lasted virtually FOREVER, all you had to do was oil the bearing with some Mineral Spirits and it worked perfect again for months. Now they have plastic/poly bearings; they are ok but they do not hold up nearly as long. I kill a mouse now in about 2 years. This is the max life I seem to get out of the bearings they just wear down to the point where the trackball is rubbing on the mouse housing. The next major complaint that I have is tracking accuracy. While it is totally amazing and superb at slow speeds which makes it great for things like Sniping in a FPS or for fine Photo Editing. If you decide to move the trackball at a fast pace the sensor loses all track of the ball and glitches out and can even send the mouse backwards. It used to be the limitations of Computers were that that this did not cause an issue; but that is not the case now. Today our screen sizes have grown; we have 4k, 8k, Ultra Wide and Monitor Linking making screens much larger then 800x600 that was in the 90s. Making it much harder to get the mouse from one corner of the screen to the other corner without taking a long time; gaming has also move to a much faster pace. While having the accuracy of the trackball at slow speeds it would be amazing to be able to speed it up some times too. Last Major Complaint: The glue on the Rubber Feet is soft and comes off very easily (an easy fix with a very small dab of super glue once it comes off). Other then that, the mouse is great. I will keep using them despite the small list of flaws. I currently have 4 of them in active use in my house. They are great because you can use them in the smallest of spaces like a night stand for a media device and you dont ever have to worry about a surface to use your mouse on. It works just fine sitting in the palm of one hand while using it with the other if you need to and it much easier and accurate then a remote. The buttons are really able to take a beating as well (Lots of use not being over psychical). I wish I could take the time to work with Logitech to make a better version of this for the more modern PC User but at least I can say this mouse has been good enough and reliable enough that I bought my first one in the 90s fell in love and bought them ever since and will keep buying them.
