My "go to" remote for many years has been the Keyspan Presentation Remote Pro. Its small, works at great distances and has a load of buttons. Just as smartphones with touch screens have replaced mobile phones with rows of buttons, the Logitech Spotlight has replaced current design remotes. The internal lithium polymer battery recharges in minutes for hours of presenting. The three buttons can be customized with the included app. You can even change the volume level of a video with your wrist while its playing in a presentation. Its a big step up from previous remotes. Dont let the price be a barrier. The spotlight highlighter function is a key feature for those who present in board rooms with LCD monitors where a laser pointer wont show up. It even works flawlessly to control presentations made with an iPad by pairing the remote using Bluetooth. Its comfortable to hold with very high quality machining of the aluminum body. Recommendations for improvement: (1) allow the adjustment of the size of the spotlight highlighter to be larger (2) create an iOS app to configure this remote to work with all custom functions when presenting with an iPad. Logitech has advanced the art of presenting with this remote on multiple levels. Highly recommended. RJC

I purchased this for one-on-one meetings because its sleek and easy to handle. However, I wasnt expecting to get a device with such pronounced tactile and auditory response. It does have a lot of great bells and whistles for presenting, but definitely not suited for one-on-one presentations. Your audience will hear every click...

As a teacher of almost 20 years (I have taught 5th grade & have now been teaching wilderness medicine since 2005), Ive always relied on PowerPoint clickers, and those wonderful laser pointers... Well this changed all of that. The spotlight feature and ease of use - and the BATTER LIFE!!!! Wow. Simply blown away, and this is the coolest clicker Ive ever owned. Seriously. And the fact that it can be FULLY charged in just 60 seconds - and lasts for 3 continuous hours of presentation and/or 3 months of standby time? Amazing!!!!

Based on some of the reviews I was skeptical of the high cost. After 15+ presentations later Im very impressed and would recommend this. Most of my presentations have been medium sized 25 or less audience in a normal size board room so I cant speak to the range as much as some reviews have. The spotlight feature definitely catches peoples attention. I dont always utilize it as in some presentations it takes away, but in the right situation it is awesome. The build quality of the device is very solid and in my usage the battery has been exceptional. There were some complaints about the odd charging, but my phone is USB-C as well so i just use that charger. I would not recommend this to someone who uses different pcs for their presentations as the Logi software really completes this device and otherwise it is just a pricey clicker. However if you present frequently on your device, it is something I would highly recommend.

I have finally solved the problem of my teams desire to put small numbers (tables, spreadsheets, etc) on slides - even when they know it doesnt make for a great visual. The magnifier and spotlight features are extremely helpful. And, until everyone gets one of these, there is a "wow" factor that is kind of neat. Another great feature is that this can connect via USB or Bluetooth. The Bluetooth is especially useful for presenting from my iPad or iPhone, both of which happen occasionally when I am on the road and wasnt expecting to need my laptop.

Looks great. Feels great in my hand. Easy-to-use. Boosts my confidence when I go out on stage. Im a professional speaker, and so getting a new clicker for my talks was bizarrely one of the most exciting things Ive done this year! :) I chose this one because it has a good range (100ft/30m) which means itll work well if Im presenting in a big ballroom and my laptop is at the back of the room with the A/V station, and Im at the front of the room on a stage. The clicker looks good and feels nice in my hand. Well-balanced, and just a nice finish on the metal. The buttons are simple and theres no confusion with accidentally pressing the wrong button. No laser, but thats ok because theres an even better feature: Spotlight. Point your clicker at the screen, hit the "highlight" button, and the screen darkens just a little, save for a spotlighted area that youre pointing to. Its like magic. Really impressive tech, and its easy to set up and use. Love, love, LOVE it! Id recommend this clicker to anyone. And Ive used a lot of different types in my time. Unless youre spending $900 on a professional Cue clicker system (which some big Venus have for their A/V teams) this is about the best youll get out there. Long range, reliable, beautifully-designed, ergonomic, simple to use, and with great features. And NO MORE BATTERIES! The clicker charges with an included USB cable. And if you get to a presentation and find its dead, you can charge it up enough in one minute for three hours of use. Terrific. Get one!

I love this product. It fits smoothly in the hand and you barely notice it. The battery lasts a very long time as well. The only thing I wish about it is that I wish the clicker was a tad quieter. Its not noticeable from across the room but if you are close to the person presenting, you can hear the "click". Otherwise, wonderful purchase and by far better than any other presentation remote on the market.

I just picked one up to teach some classes that rely on PowerPoint presentations and I’m very impressed with the Logitech Spotlight — I actually bought a second one as a gift for my training counselor. I was originally looking for a presenter with a laser, but the added functionality of a digital presenter outweigh a laser’s ability to work with non-screen mediums. I haven’t had any issues with the device or software. One of the more popular reviews indicates that the software doesn’t work well with a wireless projector — I’m using a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter with my Logitech Spotlight, and while there is some lag, it is a very usable setup and I love not needing another wire plugged into my laptop. Since I prefer not having wires and dongles, I am using Bluetooth to connect to the Spotlight, which hasn’t had any range or responsiveness issues. I wish there was better, printed Getting Started documentation. One thing that will likely confuse new users is that there is no ON/OFF switch or button combination. Also, the buttons could be softer and quieter — they make a clicking sound that is very noticeable in a small room. On the software side, I wish the “laser pointer” emulation had an option for a solid shape instead of a colored outline, a dot would be easier to pick up by the audience. The magnifier has exceeded my expectations by rendering higher quality details than I thought it would, I expected a blockier magnification. I’m torn about the usefulness of the included soft case. It only accommodates the Spotlight itself and not the charging cable, if you try to stuff the cable in there as well you will undoubtedly scratch the finish of the presenter. Since a full charge is expected to last several months you shouldn’t need the cable often, but if you separate the two you will eventually misplace the cable or not have it when you really need it (the recessed nature of the USB-C port on the Spotlight makes it difficult to use a standard cable for charging).

This is NOT a laser pointer. It is run from software placed on your laptop. It will not work with a laptop without the logitech software running in the background. It will not work with a common projector - it has to run from your device. You cannot hand it off to another speaker with that package running on their device. You cannot have the spotlight running alongside the magnifying glass at the same time. Needs to be chosen from the software running on your device. However, once the software is installed and running and the lights go down, the Spotlight will absolutely draw gasps from the crowd once they see what this thing can do. Magic but at a price.

Love this little device! Its a little pricey but works perfectly on my HP Spectre X2. Im using it over bluetooth but you can also connect via the wireless dongle included in the device. The software was easy to install and its easy to use. I love the "Spotlight" function. I do tons of presentations to large audiences and Ive already used this a number of times in client meetings and public speaking events. Worth every penny!
