Upgraded from a very old Performance MX mouse that started having issues, and Im very disappointed with my experience so far with this mouse in Windows 10. Ergonomically this mouse was not designed for my hand. The palm/knuckle section of the mouse sits very high, and feels awkward. The back/forward buttons are placed in a very awkward position that almost requires me to move my hand to get at them, I cant just roll my thumb over them anymore. The worst issue Ive been running into is with the "logitech options" software and its pointer speed settings. Even at the highest speed the mouse is VERY slow. The only workaround Ive found for this is to shut off the logitech software in task manager and set the mouse speed in "mouse properties" in the windows control panel (if you do not shut off the logitech software it will overwrite your settings). If you opt to shut off the Logitech software it will disable functionality like the middle button click, back/forward buttons, and the horizontal scroll wheel.

Good news is I was able to replace this mouse with the Logitech M720 Triathlon. I work with 2 laptops and 3 screens. Bought this mouse and the K850 keyboard to quickly switch between laptops/screens. Ran into some design issues with this mouse: 1. The button to switch laptops is on the bottom of the mouse so you cant quickly switch on the fly. You have to turn the mouse over and press the button with other hand every time you want to swap devices. Other Logitech Flow mice such as the M720 Triathlon have the button on the top within easy reach. 2. This is a big mouse (palm design) and pretty heavy. I prefer a smaller mouse thats also better for travel. The M720 Triathlon is smaller and lighter. 3. Laser didnt respond well to my hard mouse pad 4. The gesture button is nearly impossible to press. It was so hard that I didnt even know it was there. Trying to program commands with this button was futile. What I liked about this mouse was the power supply. You can recharge without having to replace AA batteries. Wish more mice were like this. TIP: If youre using a Logitech Flow mouse, install the Flow software first and then connect the mouse via Bluetooth. I did it the other way around and had to reconnect my mouse.

Im a writer and an aerialist (the "flying ghostwriter" lol), so I am SUPER hard on my hands and wrists. Therefore having the best ergonomic mouse I can find is not even optional. I realized recently that the one I had was just not cutting it when after working for only a short period of time on my computer, Id be in pain. So I took to one of my entrepreneurial Facebook groups with lots of writers/website people/graphic designers/other heavy mouse users and asked for a recommendation for the best ergonomic mouse. Literally EVERYONE said this one! And after using it for only a week, I can tell you that they were 100% right. Ive still been keeping my regular computer habits but with some exceptions (crazy work days), I am hand/wrist pain-free. I think its because this is a larger mouse that completely fits my hand, plus the handy little thumb rest for alignment. I have no idea. I just know this thing is a life saver!

I bought one of these for my home office about a year ago. I work from home once a week with a laptop + docking station setup. The mouse is very comfortable to use, the batteries last seemingly forever (working one day a week, Ive had to charge it maybe 4 or 5 times a year), and I love the auto-toggle scroll wheel and programmable thumb wheel. I have big, "meaty" hands, so the large size and contoured shape of this mouse is essential for me. I liked this mouse so much that I recently bought a second one and brought it in to use at my workstation in the office the other 4 days of the week. Id had a previous generation "Performance Mouse MX" there for several years. That was comfortable and still worked, but the battery was weakening to the point I had to charge it at least every other day. Rather than replace the cheap, off-the-shelf battery, I decided to treat myself to the same model mouse at both work locations and bought another MX Master. I know theres a newer model out, but I tried them both in a local big-box electronics store before buying the first one, and I found the in-hand feel of this model to be superior and I didnt need any of the new features of the more expensive 2S. I work in IT by day and Im a casual gamer by night, so Im picky about and hard on my gear. Logitech has never let me down and theyre the only brand I even look at anymore for mice, keyboards, and headsets. tl;dr: This is by far my favorite mouse that Ive ever used for non-gaming purposes.

Wouldve given it 5 stars if the Back & Forth buttons werent so impossible to use. I never had problems with earlier Logitech mice. This one was supposed to be the latest and the greatest. What were those engineers thinking when designing this mouse, or maybe all the good ones have left the company already? What is this? How do you expect the user to hold the mouse so that the backward and forward buttons can be utilized?

Longing for this for years and finally got it on Black Friday as a gift for myself. Have to say, this is the best mouse I ever had. I used to work with Logitech G Pro, which got RGB light and DPI switch. It’s good but it’s wired. Since I spend lots of time working on two systems simultaneously, I really need a mouse to work cross platform. And this MX master is a perfect solution. It uses Bluetooth + 2.4 G for wireless connection and switch between devices effortlessly. The ergonomic shape perfectly matches my hand palm, and my thumb can finally find a place to rest on. I think the exterior is mostly plastic, but the painted color and shape makes it looks (and feels) expensive. Another thing I really like about is the electromagnetic hovering middle button. When activated it could literally spin on FOREVER, which is soooo cool. With a click you can turn it off and back to ratcheting mode, with more precision. Overall, Great Job Logitech!

Got it for work and Im in love. Its got a nice heft, it glides very well, very comfortable, it looks nice and it also tracks perfectly on the brushed steel countertops I have to be at sometimes. I also very much like that I can leave the transceiver plugged into my desktop PC and then pair the mouse via bluetooth to my laptop and easily use it for both. My only complaint is the Back and Forward buttons on the left side are unusual shapes and stacked closely on top of one another, making them a tricky to use with my fat fingers. But I think I can get used to it.

My friend got this mouse as a gift and I liked it so much, I got myself one. After a couple of weeks my other friend saw mine and got himself one! Its a great mouse. 1- Its big. So, its comfortable. 2- It is rechargeable. 3- It can be used while charging. 4- It has great battery life. 5- You can connect it to three different devices. I use it at work and at home with my laptop (Windows and Linux) 6- The scrolling is just awesome, it keeps scrolling like a boss. cons: 1- the scroll wheel has some backlash, it rattles a little bit. If you try to move it in free wheel mode, it might undo your scrolling a little bit. So, almost always I have it in automatic shift mode. Which means I can scroll a little bit and it is locked in place and if I need to scroll longer it switches to free scrolling and then switches back. However, that switching has a loud (relatively) sound that some people might not like coming from their mouse. Im fine with it. I have a mechanical keyboard, so...

No at all happy with this mouse. I dont know how to say it other than its overall feeling and function are CHEAP. The buttons and wheels are not at all smooth. The "feel" in any button is different each time its pressed..... sometimes sloppy, sometime hard, sometimes easy.... never the same twice. The scroll wheel is beyond bad..... wobbly, turn it a bit too fast and it goes into "free wheel". The thumb wheel might be a good idea IF it worked..... Ive not been able to get it to work, no matter what function its set to. For a lot less money, you can get a refurbed Performance MX mouse.....DO IT! Its a FAR better product. Ill be boxing up this one, and returning. Finally, its very annoying to have to download/install another piece of software to make this mouse function. Logitech could update Setpoint to include this mouse, but chose instead to require more software..... not a smart idea.

Let me start by saying, I have used many mice over the years. I work in IT and have been using mice as long as I can remember. I prefer Logitech mice, as they typical have longevity and minimal problems. The MX master is kinda "Meh" to me. I dont hate it, but I dont love it. I was previously using the m705, which is a great mouse to my hands. It has a nice midsized feel, making it easy to travel with, and also a great battery life. However, the MX just feels odd coming from m705. The ergonomics seem off with the arch sitting too high for me, almost giving me cramps in my hands. And Im not a fan of the forward and back buttons stacked on top of each other. I dont recall ever having a configuration like this and dont like having to think about whether Im hitting the correct button. The toggle for switching between multiple systems is on the bottom, so you have to pick the mouse up to switch from one system to the next. This may or may not bother you depending how frequently youre switching between systems. They have another series where the toggle button was on top; this location wasnt my cup of tea. One last thing Ill mention is that while this seems to have a decent battery life, Im reluctant to use this in an office environment. If it dies, you have to wait to get a charge as opposed to tossing in new batteries and continuing to work. They do say you can get a couple hours use from a 10 min charge so this is a personal preference. Outside of this, the mouse is full of features and customizable as most of them are. You can configure the buttons to do certain functions or open apps. Scrolling is smooth and tracking is accurate. I like that you can use the dongle or Bluetooth for switching between systems, which has worked great so far. I have continued to use the mouse for a couple of weeks, adjusting a bit more to it. Although it feels better than it did at first, Im still not in love with the thing and debating on whether its worth keeping. I got it on sale, but had I paid full price there would be no question, it would be going back. You can get a mouse with great ergonomics and 95% of the same functionality for around one third to one fourth the price.
