I have been in the IT profession for 31 years now, and this is the best unit I have ever used. I have been using this combo unit for years, and love it. I am currently on my 2d combo unit, and getting ready to purchase my 3rd combo unit. PROS: Battery life. The batteries last longer than the imprinted characters on the keyboard. I have had my current combo unit 2 years, and the battery charge window says I still have a full charge. Im using Duracell batteries. Mouse: I love the back/forward keys on the side of the mouse. You wont ever have to use the back/forward arrows on IE or Firefox. Durable: I have spilled multiple things on it, and it keeps on working. Keyboard: Smooth, and easy to find keys/buttons frequently used. CONS: The imprinted characters dont last long. So, if you dont have your keyboard layout memorized, youll either have to keep replacing the entire unit, or, buy a character replacement stick-on kit. Mine is so worn out, the characters have been worn off, the space bar is now smooth, but at least the dents on "F" and "J" are still there to easily find "home row".

Purchased in April, key letters started wearing off 3 months later. One day I took the time to contact Logitech support via the website since the keyboard was still under the 1 year warranty. Note: Their support took 2 weeks to even acknowledge me, this after multiple ticket updates asking if anyone worked there. They agreed with me that it needed replacement and just needed my phone number for shipping, which I gladly gave.. Then 2 weeks more go by, I contact them via phone for an update and the person now tells me that they will not replace it. This time due some internal policy they have (no cosmetic returns after 6 months) - I contacted them 3 days after the 6 months by the way. I asked to talk to a supervisor, they gave me the same BS that they wouldnt replace t due to the "cosmetic clause", but at least escalated the ticket to I guess the "super support team". 2 more weeks later, I get an email that they will just this once replace the keyboard. Just this once. Save your money. Logitech no longer is dominating the peripheral arena. Their oversees support is sub-par at best.

**Revised** I HAD to come back and share what I figured out about this mouse. There is a button behind the scroll that allows you to change it from "Hyper" to "Normal" (with notches) which allows you to control the scroll. So happy I found this button hidden in plain sight..! **Revised** I bought this set to use at work, I do a lot of GIS mapping and work in Office products a lot. The keyboard works flawlessly and I really like it. However, the mouse.. It is WAY too sensitive. You can turn down the sensitivity, and I turned it all the way down, but I am still running into issues where even when I move the mouse the map Im working in will zoom in or out because of the mouses scroll. Even if I scroll to where I want and let my finger off of the scroll it will continue to scroll.. It is EXTREMELY frustrating.. I might end up buying a new mouse.. I like how it fits in my hand and no other issues other than the scroll.

Pros: The keyboard is sturdy, doesnt wobble (even when one corner of it is placed on a mousepad), and so far the key letters have not rubbed off. Also the electronic display showing whether caps lock and num lock are engaged is useful. Cons: Sometimes the keyboard takes forever to actually transmit the letters you are typing to your computer. On many occasions (including just now, which is what prompted me to write this review), I will start trying to type and nothing will transmit to my computer. Then eventually all of the letters will come out at once in a weird jumble, and then I am forced to delete it all and try to start the process over. This is incredibly annoying, especially since I am using this keyboard at work. I hate wasting time trying to get my keyboard to work. This was never a problem with my other keyboards. For this reason alone, I would not recommend this keyboard.

Keyboard and mouse are awesome but.... after a few months the letters started wearing away on the keyboard. After 6 months the "A", "S", "E" and "L" (I guess "L"s are more used than I ever thought!) are gone. I called Logitech while it was still in warranty and they said they would replace the keyboard - but they never did. You wont believe this but they told me they lost a bunch of customer records including mine - so they couldnt replace it. I wouldnt believe someone if they told me that happened to them -- but it happened to me. And they simply would not replace the keyboard. Oh well. Ive used Logitech keyboards since they were the latest greatest thing (mid 90s) but after a few more letters disappear Ill try another brand. UPDATE: Its 2 years later and I have almost no letters left! This keyboard has incredible battery life - and I love it! I decided to read the reviews and see if the problem has been fixed. Also just got off the phone with support. The problem has not been fixed. I will reluctantly buy another brand.

OMG. This is the worst combination of keyboard and mouse I have ever experienced. I thought I was ordering a different keyboard (upgrade) than the one I already had. This is the same exact keyboard with a different model number label (MK710) on the bottom of it! "The matching" (thats a laugh) wireless mouse is labelled M705. They dont work together. The problem is when you type on the keyboard there is a delayed response or no response at all on the monitor screen (no letters show up). I constantly have to turn the mouse off and back on multiple times to get the keyboard to type. What would normally take me 3 or 4 minutes to type can take as much as 15 or 20 minutes. This is the first time I have ever had an issue with a Logitech product..I think Amazon received a batch of defective equipment and should stop selling this model. I kept the keyboard and purchased a new Logitec mouse, model #M310 , and the problem was solved. The problem was definitely in the #705 mouse which originally came with the keyboard

If you like FRUSTRATION, buy this product! It is unbelievable but true that this combo set consists of an older keyboard and a newer mouse. The result of this is that two separate pieces of software are necessary in order to control and program the two devices. Logitech Setpoint is needed for the keyboard and Logitech Options for the mouse – even though both pieces of software control both keyboards and mice. Just not both of the ones in this set! Unbelievable! Believe it or not, I spent more than an hour and a half in a chat with their support people (after waiting nearly an hour in the queue I might add). These people don’t have a clue as to what is going on. They had me uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, etc, trying this version and that version (yikes!). All unnecessary. All annoying. All unacceptable. This is information they should have known about and told me in the first 30 seconds. Worse, Logitech should never have let this situation occur. The support tech actually told me (in his less than ideal English) “some not in-demand keyboard as for now is selling thru combos” when he told me I had an old keyboard - which I just bought today! I’ve been using Logitech mice and keyboards for over 20 years and I’m not happy about this. Ok, I can deal with having to have redundant software loaded. But - this keyboard constantly types the wrong letters and I have to backspace and correct. I just had to enter and delete the period at the end of the last sentence 9 times - it kept entering a "k". The receiver is 2 inches away from the keyboard. Really bad product or lemon? Ill try a replacement. We will see...

It seems to be a good upgrade since the previous combo set. Our only stink was the fact that the mouse was a little smaller and the scroll wheel in hyper-mode is a little messy at times. Originally the MK710 keyboard/mouse combo retailed for around $99 or more, but now you can find it for around $69.99 on Amazon, giving it a much better price category when it comes to the features it has to offer. This is a great wireless set for most PC users, including novice or intermediate gamers. Of course if you are an top-rank gamer, you will probably opt for something with custom buttons, mechanical keys and a crazy looking mouse (to each their own). It also works well on Mac and Linux systems when you plug the receiver in and run with it. We would not however recommend installing the software for any further setup on a Mac, as we have heard of shoddy software support (Logitech prefers PC it seems this round). -- James // Poc Network (Senior Editor) Note: The current picture as of Dec 8th, 2017 is not the correct picture of the keyboard. You have to scroll down to see what the product really looks like until someone fixes that.

I like this keyboard and I am happy with it for the price. It is comfortable to use, the wrist placement feels good for me. I type all day at work and this keyboard is much better on my upper back than my laptop. The wireless functions have worked well and the mouse is responsive. But there are a few tweaks I would make if I were the product designer, or maybe an upgraded model: -Its loud. The click clicking of every key is annoying when you listen to it all day and it would be a lot of background noise in something like telemarketing/cubicle environments. The noise is awkward when I am trying to take notes on a conference call. -The keys have a bit more resistance than I am used to. I wish they were a little more recessed into the keyboard and quieter (like the buttons on most newer laptops) -It really needs a background light, with dim and bright settings. I work into the evenings and my keyboard is in the ergonomic drawer of my desk. Its perfectly placed for long work hours, but then I tend to go back to laptop so I can see the keys while I work. This is particularly useful when using the 10-key and F functions, as well as the sound controls at the top. -Similarly, I wish there was a light on the CAPS lock so I can see when I have accidentally pressed it. I find myself defaulting to my laptop for this as well.

This is the second keyboard of this model Ive owned. I want to like it but both my old one and this one have the same problem -- the labels on the keys wear off after 6-12 months of use. Its hard for me to believe that this cant be fixed, i think they are just cutting corners, trying to shave a few pennies off their manufacturing costs. Logitech support is not good, Ive tried to get this replaced, they wont do it. (I touch type so i can use it without labels on the keys, but from time-to-time it is nice to have them). at least logitech should send me a bag of keys so i can pop off the old ones and pop on the new ones. My advice: dont buy this product. pros: I like the feel of this keyboard and mouse. wireless works well for me software has been fine
