At first this keyboard was excellent. (And so is the mouse.) It was sprung on me at my new job two years ago. I liked it so much I bought one for use at home. And then another. I like full stroke keys, and those are getting hard to find. This one has them. And the ergo-curvature is nice. The curve to the back is a bit excessive, though. That Esc key is farther away than what Im used to. But Ive become accustomed to it. Its also useful that the wireless connect software allows you to use two keyboards and two mice on the same computer. I have that setup because I have one set of these on the desktop, and another at the piano nearby. But after a few months the keys start to bind a bit. Its not stickiness. Its friction. On one of the keyboards the friction seems to have diminished. Thats the one Im using right now. But the keyboard by the piano still suffers from the friction. That one is not often used, so its okay. The third one was in my office for work-at-home use. The friction was intolerable, so I abandoned it for another keyboard.

According to my purchase history, I bought this almost exactly 3 years ago. According to the claims on the product description, the estimated battery life of the keyboard is also 3 years. During the time that Ive owned this piece of hot garbage, I can guarantee you that Ive spent more on batteries than this hunk of useless plastic cost. Im by no means some power user that is gaming 24/7 and putting the keyboard through constant use. In fact, I do much more work on my laptop than my desktop. And yet, this thing chews through batteries like my dog wolfs down dog treats. The cycle goes about like this: Put in fresh batteries. The keyboard works great for approximately a month. Then erratic behavior begins. For example, itll just completely freeze for 10 to 30 seconds and then blurt out a bunch of nonsense letters. Maybe it will just decide to key in an endless stream of spaces until you shut it off. Take the batteries out, put fresh ones in... and everything is fine again. Oh, and those batteries that were in it? Still usable. Its just that apparently unless there is ABSOLUTELY A FULL CHARGE, this keyboard just cant even. And it will throw a temper tantrum until you put fresh ones in. Honestly, if I could, I would sue Logitech for the battery replacement costs. Or the aggravation. Or maybe both. And the mouse isnt much better. The batteries in it are also supposed to last quite a long time. However, my experience has been, again, only a month or two before it quits. At least it doesnt get erratic like the keyboard. It just flat quits. Either way, Logitechs claims are absolute lies and fantasy. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if someone told me they have ties with the major battery companies for kickbacks. The shame of it all is that when these two items actually work (rarely), they are very comfortable to use. As is, Im done with the aggravation. Ill be spending my money with a different company from now on. Logitech used to be a trusted brand. Now they are just an untrustworthy scam.

Edit: Almost a year later and that keyboard is great!! Make sure to contact Logitech support if you have any issues because they will ship out a replacement. The mouse from the bundle is still the worst mouse I have ever used. I downloaded the software to customize the keys which was pretty useful. I disabled the the caps lock and reassigned the power button to go to sleep instead. Very cool! The keyboard is really nice and eases strain on the wrists. The wave key design was perfect for me because I always had trouble reaching keys with my pinkies. The only reason I give this product a bad review is due to the painful design of the mouse. The curve/Rest leaves no room for your ring finger and pinky to rest naturally. My hands are small/medium sized and it caused more pain than the keyboard can alleviate! I almost felt like it was designed for a lefty (I am but use the mouse in my right hand) or tries to be universal. I felt like Logitech was a trustworthy brand but I’m going to have to find a new mouse so this will be a backup? I wish I just ordered the keyboard and saved a few dollars

I tried this model of a Logitch keyboard hoping it did not suffer the key sticking the other more expensive model developed after a few months. This keyboard has terrible lag and the wireless connection drops out constantly which wastes a lot of time. I liked the layout but wished it had back lighting. The connection and lag issues render it basically unusable. This is the last Logitech keyboard I will be buying. I have used their products for decades but no longer will buy their keyboards. 3 bad experiences not caused by abuse or spills is enough. I wish I could give it zero stars.

I suggest a more cautious approach to buying this board than I had time to take. I regret this purchase at this price but had to replace my failing, old wireless Microsoft ergonomic keyboard. It was my mistake in not being more thorough about looking at the photo so I thought I was getting a duplicate key layout to the Microsoft board. This is clearly not as comfortable to use as the Microsoft keyboard. I also prefer to have a Caps Lock status indicator and wonder why that functionality was left out. The mouse buttons on the Logitech mouse are noticeably harder to press (and it becomes uncomfortable if I have to press several times in one sitting). There were no instructions about how to set up the keyboard (the options) and no web address to find that info. The keyboard is attractive and the initial setup only required minor tweaking. If I could have put my hands on this keyboard and mouse before I bought it, I would not have. Since this is a Logitech product, I assume it is of good quality otherwise. I have been using this combination for a few weeks now and Im less impressed than originally. The mouse has started dropping out intermittently. Ive changed batteries (which I dont believe fits Logitechs prediction on battery life) and the problem persists. Logitech makes it hard to ask them directly for information pertaining to this issue. Ive dropped my rating to 2 stars. I much preferred the performance of my old wireless ergonomic Microsoft keyboard and mouse.

Ive owned a lot of keyboards, and once I got on these Wave keyboards about 10 years ago, Ive never switched off of them. I like the play/feedback I get off of this new model of the Wave keyboard. Even better than the play/feedback with my older models, which I did like. Theres a good feel of confirmation in the keys when you strike them. But yet not over-bearing confirmation, like those old-school spring-loaded 1980s IBM keyboards threw off. That big padded perforated section perfectly places your heels to negate any strain on your wrists (that might lead to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). Your hands always feel pretty close to "at rest." That section wipes clean very easily, too. The big silver buttons can be reprogrammed to do whatever you want. If you load up the Logitech SetPoint software that you download from their website. I use them to open specific folders that I often access. I reprogrammed the Sleep button to be a Restart button. And you dont HAVE to use the Logitech software unless you want that programming feature, basically. Otherwise its a plug and play keyboard ... that functions perfectly even at the BIOS setting level. I also like that the audio/video controls at the center top dont require any set-up. When I strike up/down volume or mute, they work with any application I run. I have zero reception/distance/obstruction problems in keeping the USB receiver plugged directly to the back of my desktop, down on the floor, facing a wall, next to my desk. To be fair, the very first one I owned, again bought ten years ago, did have a bit of a problem in that regard. At that time the Wave keyboard shipped with an entirely different USB receiver, a larger one that looked a lot like a flash drive; I had to bring it closer to my desktop with a USB extension cable. Two ordinary AA batteries will keep this keyboard running for several years. And theres a little indicator that lights up when its time to change them out. Too bad there arent any indicator lights for CapsLock or NumLock, like old-school. (How many obscured passwords have I typed in incorrectly over the years not realizing I had accidentally turned on caps aiming for the tab key!) The one thing I REALLY dont like about them is that the white paint on the keys tends to wear off too easily. Ive owned about four of these Wave keyboards over a decade and they all do it. This keyboard comes with a five-year warranty, so from now on I am sending in an email to Logitech asking for a new key whenever one wears off. Also I prefer the old-school Logitech logo. The font on this new logo looks, to me, sort of over-baked, so over-modern as to be a bit gaudy. Oh, well. I am sure Logitech paid some marketing firm millions of dollars to create it, so I guess its my shortcoming. LOL. And it would be cool if it had a backlit option, like those gamer keyboards, since I work a lot late at night. I guess you cant have it all. This Wave keyboard has been one of the top-selling keyboards in the marketplace since its introduction so long ago. That kind of says it all.

This model has very long lag keyboard delay more than I think it should have even though it comes with the M510 mouse. I timed the delay up to 7 seconds.... I have a M510 for my lappy and never an issue. Sorry Logitech, you guys are all aware of these failure that this RF design issue is problematic across the your wireless product line. I have now MK710 combo. I think it goes back. Not as much lag on keyboard but mouse lag makes up for it. Yup, wired keyboard is best and the Logitech M510. Had my current lappy M510 since 2007 !! Think company, think... dont react...

Ive worked as a software engineer for over 20 years, and learned very early on that using a regular keyboard for more than a few days straight leads to wrist pain. So Ive used ergonomic keyboards for basically my entire career. A few years ago I worked for a software company with a manager who refused to pay the money to buy me an ergonomic keyboard for me to use at work, so having to purchase my own I decided to give this one a try - and Im glad I did. I use this keyboard with a MacBook Pro and have had zero compatibility issues. I tried Microsoft keyboards previously and had compatibility issues with my Mac, but with this one Ive had absolutely no issues whatsoever. The keys have excellent feel and the curve in the keyboard is just right to keep my wrists comfortable without being too awkward for the rest of my family on our home computer. Some cited the durability issues, and its true the keyboard will probably need replacing after 2-3 years, at least thats been my experience. After a while I find that some keys begin to stick and are either hard to press down or stick down and dont return back up again. At that point what I do is just go buy another one. The keyboard is so good I cant bring myself to downgrade my rating even one star for this. Since my first purchase of one of these keyboards Ive bought four others. I currently have one at work and one for my home office. My only real concern about this keyboard is that Logitech will stop making it. I might have to go buy a bunch more to make sure I never run out.

Absolutely amazing and fantastic to use..The keyboard has a ton of options and the keyboard just feels great to use. I had a microsoft mouse and keyboard bundle earlier. The bluetooth connection to the mouse and or the keyboard kept dropping every time I lock and move out of my desk or wake it up from sleep..I had to turn off bluetooth on my laptop and switch it back on to connect both of them. It used to be very irritating with it. First of all, this keyboard and mouse comes with a dongle. So connection was a jiffy...I connected the dongle and within seconds, I started using the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard feels little heavy but it is solid in design and the keys are very strong. You get a feel that it is sturdy with its first look. The way pattern of the keys, the very big space bar along with the palm rest feels very comfortable. The keyboard has a ton of options. To name a few, you can configure to open word, excel in a function click. They are huge volume control button at the top. There are multi media buttons, camera button, media center button, Zoom, calculator buttons. One special button I loved to see was the power button to the top right corner. It was easy to send my computer to sleep. There is a special button to switch between active windows. The mouse looks big when and comfortable in the hand. The motion is seamless and it has all the default buttons. Along with it, I love the side buttons which has a option to do CTRL + TAB by default. This helps me a lot at work while I keep shifting between tabs. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

My daughter, my brother and I all use the Logitech Wave Keyboard and have for many years. I purchased this model after my 12-year-old Wave keyboard had problems with sticking keys or keys that were hard to press. It had also grown to be quite noisy. I am very happy with this newer keyboard. In my opinion, the keys are quieter and have smoother action than my old keyboard even when it was new. I hope this model lasts for 12 years as well. I also hope that Logitech keeps making these. At my age, I am not sure I could adapt to another keyboard as I have been using a Wave type keyboard for 30 years. I also have used trackballs instead of using a mouse since the mid-80s. Trackballs are getting harder to find — at least for desktops. There seems to be a selection for gamers, but I am not a gamer. I hope Logitech keeps making trackballs as well. I realize this is unrelated to the keyboard review, but I am hoping Logitech gets the message anyway.
