Well, the reviews were mostly positive but my experience has been the opposite of many. The layout of the keys feels off and there is not enough edge to the keys for typing to feel natural and often find myself looking at the keys to adjust my hand placement. That likely speaks more to my typing ability than to the keyboard itself, but it is still annoying. More annoying is the fact that the area where your palms rest will scroll my entire screen down if I happen to put too much pressure on it. My final annoyance is that today the keyboard rattles with every single keystroke like something internally is loose. I have had the keyboard 2 months and will likely go back to my old keyboard within hours. This is second rate junk made as cheaply as possible and any other features are meaningless when the basic functionality is so crummy.

The Set Point software does not work with the mouse. The new "Options" app doesnt support pointer acceleration. I have the same model number mouse from five years ago which uses Set Point instead of Options, and it has acceleration. I can move my wrist 1/2 inch and fly from one end of my two screens to the other, whereas with the new options software, it takes 3 wrist motions for the pointer to travel the same distance. Obviously this is going to cause significant wear and tear on my wrist, so as it is, the product is unusable. Also, the new mouse does not work on my white desktop surface, whereas my old mouse works no problem on this surface. I have not tested exhaustively because I only use this mouse in one place, but this is also discouraging. I dont even know if I should waste my time solving the acceleration issue if I have to deal with this secondary issue too. It is nuts that a five year old product which is starting to fail is STILL far superior to the new "identical" product just received. Very disappointed that I wasted my money on this upgrade. The keyboard is nice.

I read the reviews on other Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combos and decided to order the Mk520. Ive used this WIFI keyboard and mouse on a few different computers now and I am happy to report ZERO issues. Truly plug-n-play. Keyboard and mouse are both comfortable to use. This is a normal sized keyboard and mouse. Ill be ordering another one soon for a 2nd computer. Excellent product. I did have a few minutes of trouble at the start because I was using a USB 3.0 port. I went online and noticed some discussion of some wireless keyboard/mouse combos having issues with USB 3.0. Once I moved the Wifi connector for the keyboard and mouse (which comes with the unit) to a USB 2.0 port, all was well. Rock solid with USB 2.0. Note: a USB 3.0 port will have a visible blue strip. If you dont see a blue strip on a USB port, its likely a USB 2.0 port and its fine to use for the MK520 WIFI keyboard and mouse.

I have had this combo for a few months now, and several issues have popped up. Generally, the mouse works fine for me, but the keyboard has issues, which I think have been mentioned already, but i will list them again. First, the key design is not good, particularly if you are coming from a keyboard that has the cube style or "cut off pyramid" style (for lack of a better term-not really sure what the technical term is) keys (which most keyboards do to some extent). The keys on this keyboard are very, very flat with little differentiating space between the keys to guide your fingers. Thus, the fingers seem to often hit two keys, which half the time ends up registered incorrectly. Secondly, a few of the keys now require a really hard press to register. One happened to be a character key in a password I use, and that character/key isnt often used in normal typing. I would keep getting failed logins. Finally, I opened up a text editor and typed my password a few times, to find out that I really had to smack that one particular key for it to register. Some others keys now have the same problem. In googling around, it seems that this is a common problem for this keyboard. As all the other keyboards i use have the more cubic key design, I doubt that my difficulties with this keyboard will improve, so i will likely look for something else.

I used these same models at my previous job and liked it a lot so I bought this for my new job. I was aware of the risk I was taking because the D key on my initial keyboard/mouse was less responsive after just 9-10 months. So, I knew these low rating reviews could be (mostly) trusted which left me looking at other keyboard/mouse options before deciding to purchase. However, after a lot of searching, I opted to get this combo with the hope that Ill be one of the lucky ones. Unfortunately, that wasnt the case. While both the keyboard and mouse work great most of the time, they have A LOT of moments throughout the day in which they want to take their sweet time registering what Im directing them to do. It happens WAY too often. Was at my last straw today. I really liked that these are wireless and can be connected with a single USB, and the price point was very appealing, but you are very possibly wasting your time and money if you purchase this. I suggest you keep looking. I will probably have to take my business elsewhere since so many items on Amazon are defective. Getting fed up.. You never know whether or not the items (or reviews) are legit anymore and it makes it really hard to shop here.

Very disappointed. I have used Logitech devices for years as an IT Manager. This is the 1st time I am trashing them. This was our 2nd purchase for the MK545 combo, mouse keyboard. When these devices install they load up the Windows 10 basic HID Mouse and Keyboard Drivers. If you do not change the drivers to the Logitech drivers you will experience drop outs between both devices and the PC. The solution we have found is to unplug your "unifying" USB device, count to 5 and then plug it back in and that jolts Win 10 into connecting again. Until you get the proper drivers installed, plan on doing this 1 to 2 x per day. Logitech has this problem noted on their site, and offers a bunch of time wasting solutions. They do not, however, specifically tell you how to install the Logitech drivers for these devices over the "BASIC" Win 10 drivers. Your devices are not BASIC and require specific drivers, and NOT the intrusive "Options" software that your website directs us to. The solution is to get the old tried and true Setpoint software and then work through it to get the Logitech Drivers installed. Good luck. MS Keyboard and Mouse next time.

I use this wireless keyboard/mouse combo for general computer usage, no gaming. Had it maybe a month now. For the most part it works well, but at times will freeze and not respond, or it will lag dramatically, and sometimes the mouse will just disappear from the screen. Every now and then I will be typing away and no letters will appear on the screen. Then suddenly, a few seconds later, my typing appears all at once. Ive found that if the board or mouse begins lagging, I just turn them off and back on and everything is fine. This is an irritant to me, but it would be a total disaster for someone needing constant, perfect response, like gamers. Ive seen similar complaints on other wireless combos, so maybe its just the nature of wireless USB keyboard/mouse sets. Although I have a K400 wireless keyboard/track pad that I use with my HTPC, and it works flawlessly. But you cant use a track pad for some uses. Update: A couple more weeks of use and realize this is absolute crap. With fresh batteries I get keyboard freezing, "stuttering" mouse, just all-around bad performance. Switching back to a cabled mouse because I need accurate tracking. Took another star off my review. Update to my update: Have been using this keyboard/mouse combo for a number of months now, and I keep removing stars from my review. I am at the point where I would give it a minus ten if I could. Absolutely infuriating that the keyboard constantly hangs and freezes on me. Same with the mouse. I assume it is probably a USB conflict, and maybe its just my computer, but if it is happening on my computer Im sure others are experiencing the same. Ive switched back to cabled keyboard and mouse.

This traditional rectangular keyboard works fine. Purchased to replace my Microsoft 1000 wireless keyboard and mouse. The 1000 getting old and one key I had to push down hard for it to work. I wish that I had purchased the upgraded (for me) Microsoft 2000 or 3000. Heres the difference: This Logistech wireless keyboard has a textured finish. All surfaces including keys. Some may like this. But the Microsoft 1000 had a smooth finish on keys which I like and I am used to. This Logitech keyboard is quite loud compared to the Microsoft keyboard. This Logitech MK520 works fine. And I will keep it. Next time though, Ill stick with the Microsoft wireless keyboard. I did not use the included wireless Logitech mouse. I kept the Microsoft 1000 wireless mouse. I prefer the Microsoft wireless mouse. Yes, I am now using up 2 USB ports - one for the Logitech keyboard and one for the older Microsoft wireless mouse.

I ordered one set for my home office and once I realized how super quiet the keyboard is I decided to order sets for my other computers. However, Im having an issue with one two keyboards. Its as if it goes to sleep. Ive found that sometimes when I start typing it will miss the first letter, like it needs a few keystrokes to wake up. I was concerned it may be that the wireless signal was being blocked somehow, but thats not the case. I dont have the issue with the other two that I use, just this third one. And it doesnt happen all the time. I havent tested how long of a pause causes it to sleep (it may not be sleeping but thats the only analogy I can come up with), but Im a very fast typer and sometimes Ill cause all sorts of mayhem thinking the keyboard is catching everything as I zip through just to see my screen start to freak out because it doesnt understand all my commands due to missing the first letter. Frustrating! Now I have to type a letter and wait to see if it registered or if that letter woke it up before I continue. Otherwise, I like it. Mouse is good shape and size.

Update to prvious post (I decided to not correct the keyboard errors in this post)... Now the "r" key is working intermittently. My previous review was 2 stars but it has dropped to 1 star. Thee doesnt seem to be a very broad selection of highly atd keyboards on Amazon, so Im not sure what my next stp is for a keyboard. Previous post... This is part comment, part question for the seller. I was happy with the keyboard and mouse up until earlier this week, when the "e" key started to intermittently not work. The comment is that Im not happy that Ive had the product 6 months and a key is not working. Ive had other keyboards that Ive replaced after several years and this problem hadnt occurred. The question for the seller is what recourse I have other than buying a different brand keyboard. (The issue happened 3 times during the typing of this review. I thought about leaving out the missing "e"s for greater effect!)
