Using with a windows 10 desktop connected to an hdtv. Important to note: The usb adapter is sort of in a nook in the edge of the box, on the opening side, and could be easily missed. I almost tossed it out with the box. Things that I like: -The touchpad is great. Once the pointer speed settings are adjusted I can get a one to one ratio with my television, the movement is smooth, and only a little inaccurate (it can be hard to click buttons and links and such, but I do have the pointer speed maxed. I also have the "increase pointer accuracy" setting turned off, because it makes larger mouse movements less smooth, as the pointer will slow down near clickable objects, which can be everywhere at times). -The installation was easy (its plug and play, works with windows generic drivers if you dont care to map the f keys. You can disable tap to click without any software: FN+left-click). -The wireless connection isnt spotty and doesnt drop, at least, it hasnt in the two days that Ive had it. There also isnt any noticeable latency (though keep in mind, Im not gaming with this device). -Its very light. For reference, my stock hp keyboard weighs at least twice as much (though it is about 7 years old now). It also weighs less than my tablet (a trio stealth 10. It was a gift. I dont really use it. But it might weigh more than the average name brand tablet, idk). -It runs on AAs (being able to replace the batteries with something that will be available until the end of time–instead of some arcane, limited production, device and manufacturer specific battery pack–is a huge plus). -Theres a nook in the battery cover that the usb adapter can slide into for storage and transport. Things that could be better: -Theres no middle click button or any option to emulate middle click with the touchpad buttons (you can map the F buttons using the free "logitech options" software from logitechs website though). -The touchpad options dont show up correctly in windows 10 control panel settings. It shows up as a regular mouse, so no touchpad options through windows (you can access some options using the "logitech options" software). -I dislike the lack of a dedicated scroll strip on the touchpad, as two finger scrolling isnt ideal when youre holding the keyboard in both hands (it can be done, as the keyboard isnt very heavy. Its just not very intuitive to grip something this large with fingers instead of the palm of the hand. it can also be held one handed but it doesnt feel as nice). -Theres no instruction pamphlet. There are two scraps of paper in the package, but they provide no useful information and likely only exist to fulfill some legal requirement (one is a list of warnings and "safety guidelines", and the other is a pictographic explanation on how usb ports work, how batteries work, and how to use a touchpad. There IS actually a link to the product support page below a download symbol, implying that you should go there to get the software, but its easily overlooked and the software is easily found using google, so whatever). Other things worth mentioning: -The software to use with this keyboard is called "logitech options". Theres another software called "setpoint", but it doesnt work with this keyboard and will refer you to the "options" application. I dont think it hurts to install both. -The yellow button is a second left click button. It cannot be mapped. -The keyboard is slightly flexible due to the plastic its made of, and creaks a bit when handled. The creaking is near silent now that Ive worn some of the new out of it though, and Ive only had it two days, so I think itll be completely silent after some use. Overall its a pretty good device. If you want a wireless keyboard/mouse combo you could probably do worse.

I had an old K400 which I loved and used for years. Alas, the mouse gave out after years. When I replaced it with this new one. I noticed everything was cheaper and worse than the old one. The mouse was oddly plasticey and sticks to your finger like a cheap laptop from 2006s trackpad. I suppose the bright side is I didnt have to deal with it for long. The mouse crapped out after 33 days of EXTREMELY light use as a keyboard for use on a TV.

Update to original review: So, this keyboard has a very destructive glitch in its design. It appears that when inputting text on websites, after a very short period of time, the cursor will wander out of the text box so should you be intending on using backspace to remove a recent sentence or input, the cursor will be out of the text box and pressing down on backspace will cause the tab to close. Ive lost invaluable work due to this glitch...terrible. Discontinued using......... This thing is amazing! Not sure why there are some negative reviews. Took a chance and am very satisfied. Been around a month and so far its working flawlessly. Even bought a second one for work. Totally recommend this keyboard as it allows me to kick back in my chair and interact with my desktop monitor as I desire :-) Got a lot of cool options which you need to download Logitech add-on for..well worth the effort..shortcuts and gestures and what not. Love it...

Only complaint I have is when I got it I couldnt find the wireless USB dongle wasnt in the packaging wasnt in the battery/dongle receptacle It was "in" the box wall in its own little pocket in the cardboard box wall, why? I mark it up to bad design in general. Otherwise its does what it needs and a nice feature is the extra left-click button on the top left corner to make dragging easy if you are sanding and holding the keyboard while working. Keys are not too bad; would have preferred more 2000s laptop style but at least it is not 2014ish spaced really flat keys laptop style, nor is it colicky bubble membrane like the tiny wireless trackpad/keyboards. Good stuff.

This is a terrible product. The keyboard portion seems to work fine, but if you need a touch pad, forget it. I got this to use with an Intel Compute Stick where size and mobility is important for me, and wondering if it was the compute stick causing the issue, I hooked it up to the desktop and... nope... more of terrible. It is so terrible that I am writing a review for this and I almost never write reviews of any kind. It makes me physically not want to use the compute stick when paired with it. It goes from anywhere between barely functioning to having a mind of its own (i.e. moving around after I take my finger off, inexplicably changing sort type in windows, random pinch/zoom, etc.). The two finger scroll seems to be the only function that seems to work reasonably for some reason. Avoid this product and save yourself the trouble. Your time is more valuable than the time youre going to spend buying, finding out how bad this is, then dealing with returning this. Something like this just makes me wonder if their mentality in creating this was "well just make this piece of junk and maybe 4 out of 5 will like it and not return it and well profit an x amount despite the return rate." Ive been buying Logitech products for years and this is by far one of the worst products Ive ever purchased, of any kind, from any company. Ive had good experiences with their products, but if I run into one more terrible Logitech product like this, it will be my last. Please stop making junk, Logitech.

My original k400 stopped working for no reason while sitting on a shelf.. yeah explain that one..I even tested the battery on the board Of course I had it too long to return even though it might have had only 2 hours used on it tops...{HEY LOGITECH SEND ME A FREE K400 ORIGINAL AND I WILL SEND THIS ONE BACK TO YOU} so I had to buy this because the others were out of stock.. Let me start by saying the arrow keys are so tiny that you cant help but press the wrong ones or multiple ones at the same time in low light conditions. The old keyboard was so much better. I wish my other one worked and Im thinking about gutting this one and putting it in my old k400 if it will fit. its a shame they changed an already good keyboard layout.. who designs this crap when it the keys were already a decent size? some tiny little person who thinks the world has a max height of 5 feet? It works good so far but come on. Make some of the keys bigger and change it to how it used to feel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :READ: Here is my little trick.. Buy some plastic bedazzle jewl stickers at the store, they come in all different round and octogon shapes and sizes and put them on the up and down arrow keys, the delete key and enter key so you know which buttons you are pushing in the dark.TRUST ME YOU WILL ALWAYS HIT THE WRONG BUTTONS................... JUST SCRAP THIS BOARD AND ADD YOUR PLUS TO THE ORIGINAL DESIGNED K400 PLEASE!!! you ruined the layout.

Out of the box, it didnt work; I believe I may have received a faulty transmitter. Spent many hours on the Logitech website trouble shooting. Nothing worked. Would be happy to change my review if Logitech reaches out to help.

Including this one, I own three of these keyboards. I now own three not because anythings went wrong with the others, but because I have these in different rooms for different purposes. As Im sure you can gather, Im a big fan of these. In short, I certainly recommend these. Here are my thoughts after owning these for quite a while: Pros: - These sync out of the box, in just a few minutes and are foolproof, even for those who are tech challenged. - Range is not quite as claimed based off my experience, but its perfect up to 26-28 feet. Thats more than enough. - Im a heavy typer/user and Ive never failed to get less than a year out of a set of batteries. Logitech claims an 18 month battery life but I suspect they are applying that claim to medium users. Either way, batteries are cheap, so its going to cost you at most, a few dollars a year to run one of these. - Key feel when typing is very good. - The keyboard has every feature you need and only lacks short cuts. - The trackpad is quite responsive for this price point and functions very well. Cons: - If youre gong to extensively use this keyboard resting on your lap, youre going to notice a little flex in the keyboard if you rest a lot of your arm weight on it. Its not going to break on you but these are a little on the flexible side. At this price, thats just a reality. Its a very small issue. - Adding to the above, if youre intending to use this primarily resting on your lap and you are a very heavy typer based off intended use, youre the one type of person I would NOT recommend this keyboard for. Because of its relatively compact size, your wrists and forearms will end up sore. On the other hand, IF you simply rest a portable laptop table/cushion on your lap and then place the keyboard on that, youll be fine. Just a thought that I feel needs pointed out! Overall, considering the price these sell at, features, and how well it functions, even at distance, this is a very solid option for those seeking a wireless keyboard. I feel very comfortable continuing to recommend these! Cheers!

These are kinda cheep. I was surprised the price was so low when purchasing it. I wanted a product like this for a PC that I hooked up to my TV in my living room. I like having the touch pad and a small keyboard. The problem is it keeps losing the signal. I keep replacing the batteries hoping that is the issue but it is not getting better. I wish I had bought a little better quality. update: I am giving up on this after a few months. I cant get it to work reliabily and Im tired of trying to fix this. I like the form factor but my keyboard is just unreliable. Im looking for a replacment.

Im amazed at the 5 star reviews for this!? Im usually fan of Logitech devices but this one was a glaring exception. The plastic was flimsy and flexed when typing. The keys had little travel. The mouse pad had such poor sensitivity that I had to crank the sensitivity bar all the way up in Windows settings to make it usable. Even then it wasnt all that accurate or good. Look elsewhere!
