My main dislike with this mouse is the loud washboard-like scroll wheel. It just feels and sounds cheap. My previous mouse was a AmazonBasics mouse and the scroll wheel on that was much quieter. I also wish the buttons were quieter as well. I just cant stand loud input devices. Update 1/12/2018: If you open the mouse up and remove the metal pin on the left side of the wheel, this will make the wheel move smoothly with much less noise.

This mouse was purchased very recently out of necessity. The mouse that had come along with my desktop was finally on its last legs after about five years of use (hey, if it worked fine, why replace it?) and subsequently died completely right after Id placed the order for this one. Good thing I was proactive and went hunting when the old one started having issues! This little guy fit all the criteria I had when shopping and after about a week of use is performing every bit as well and comfortably as the last one! I like how its simple and basic, much like my old one. Its a good size for my hand and is nicely shaped (I hate those ergonomic mice that are built short and tall) so its comfortable to use and feels nice to the touch, all smooth plastic. The buttons work nicely, the wheel scrolls smoothly and only makes a mild clicking, and it has a USB cable (Im not a fan of wireless mice; they seem less reliable and require more maintenance in my experience). Plus, I was able to get mine for like $5 which was very nice! I was only after a basic, reliable computer mouse to replace my broken one and this one fits the bill! Ive used it extensively since it arrived at my door and works wonderfully! My only qualm is that I would have liked for the cord to be a little longer, just to have enough slack to be extra safe, but so far it fits in with my current desktop setup so I wont complain. If youre in the market for a basic, corded mouse that operates smoothly and is comfortable to use, I highly recommend! Its nothing fancy, but it is responsive, comfortable, and I cant find any point of contention with it or its performance. Im just glad such a simple corded is even still in production! Logitech has always made products I find to be useful and reliable, so I felt confident buying a mouse made by the company. Ill update this review in a few months time (or sooner, if theres a problem) just as a check in on its longevity and functionality over time! Update as of January 24th, 2018 Everything is still working wonderfully after almost half a year of use! Update as of July 12th, 2018 Still working perfectly almost a year in! Update as of January 2019 My mouse began to do this strange thing where itd simaltaneously right click as I left clicked, which caused me to accidentally select random parts of the right click menu while using my computer. Nothing I did corrected the issue in a way that would keep me using the mouse, so it is put to rest after about 18 months of daily use. The issue stopped when I switched my left click and right click controls to the opposite buttons, but as I am right handed, this was awkward, so I bought a new mouse. My only guess as to why this happened was that the components of the mouse where worn; theres not a super clear distinction between the left and right buttons (theres a single piece of plastic over the two thats just been cut down the middle) so perhaps wear and tear caused some warping that makes it so pressure on the left button side causes the mouses sensors to feel like the right side is clicking.

I’ve been using the mouse for a couple weeks now and it seems fully functional. I just now noticed that it doesn’t sit flush on a flat surface. It can wabble like a chair that has one short leg. This really doesn’t have an effect on the overall functionality of the mouse, but it makes me question the overal quality of the product. Upon further inspection I noticed that the product logo was missing from the mouse. I looked up images for this model and it’s supposed to have a logo. I now believe that I received a clone product. The one I have is not an authentic Logitech product.

Great for gaming and productivity. Good quality, perfect size and sensitivity. If youre cross-shopping the AmazonBasics 3-Button USB Wired Mouse, I would STRONGLY suggest getting this Logitech B100 mouse intead. The Amazon mouse acts erratically when flicking your wrist quickly, such as having to turn around quickly in an FPS game. Also the Logitech mouse is larger and more comfortable with extended usage. The Amazon mouse also has a weird rubberized-feeling plastic on the surface, the B100s glossy plastic is more preferable in my opinion.

I received the mouse and it worked great for about a month. Then the left button started registering two or three clicks for each press of the mouse button. It was truly maddening. By the time I figured out what it was doing, I was beyond the 30 day return window to Amazon. It is still within the manufacturers guarantee, but it may be more trouble than its worth to return it. If you find your mouse apparently double clicking, try using it with an application like Microsofts calculator. It is easy to see the failure there.

I got this mouse to replace a Logitech M100 that had buttons that were doing that annoying double click thing. It was disrupting my workflow. There are videos on how to repair it, but considering how difficult it is to repair these things because of how tiny all these components are, I decided to just get a replacement. NOTE: If youre wondering what the difference is between the M100 and B100 - theyre the same mouse. The M100 has retail packaging (the plastic packaging that you usually have to cut through). The B100, however, is bulk/enterprise packaging - i.e. a plain cardboard box with a few inserts. In other words, unless you *really* want that retail packaging, youll save $1 or $2 going with the B100. Im genuinely surprised that certain reviewers are complaining about the mouse feeling "cheap". Its an $8 mouse, of course its cheap. Mice at this price range are a dime a dozen. You are not going to get high quality out of mice at this range. You will get functionality that will last you a few years. The main questions you should have for yourself for mice at this range is does it do its job, and yes, it does. Its a cheap optical mouse. Tracking is "good enough" for business use because all mice, even at this price range have optical tracking instead of the old days of ball tracking. The mouse is so basic it doesnt require any special drivers, just plug and play. The buttons *are* a bit on the loud side, but again, the price range should tell you that. Ergonomics are comfortable and of course, supports both left and right-handed users. The scroll wheel is "clicky" and makes an audible noise when it scrolls. Several people here said theyre used to scroll wheels that are "smooth" so if this will bother you try higher priced mice for a smoother scrolling experience. There are many other brands of mice that are at this price point, and theyre built similarly, but if you want to get one from a brand youve heard of, you really cant go wrong with this Logitech mouse. It does its job. Dont expect anything spectacular out of it.

You would have to have experience with some bad mouse in order to appreciate how good this mouse is. Around half a year ago, my old M100 broke after many years of usage, and because I was in need for a mouse in a hurry, I rushed out and brought the cheapest mouse I can find from a local computer shop, it was some unknown Chinese brand, and it costed $15. And my immediate impression after first use was, "wow this mouse sucks." It was heavy, the texture feels like cheap plastic, and theres a stupid blue light lighting up the scroll. Then the scroll was terribly inaccurate. And the most stupidest design was that it added a contour down-curve for the finger placement spot on each of the two clicks, so when youre holding the mouse, your index finger was not having contact with the clicks, and to register a click, youll have to put more pressures on the clicks than usual. Its just terrible. And finally I got fed up and brought this mouse, it is night and days and feels so much better. No more stressful clicks and the scroll is spot on.

Every time I shop for a new mouse for myself I consider many different things, motion sensing system, clickability, reliability of the manufacturer, and of course special features. I for one have ALWAYS bought Logitech mice. They are a trusted manufacturer of peripherals and to be honest, they are some of the toughest pieces of hardware I have seen out there. I recently decided to switch out my old mouse and replace it with an optical mouse. Looking through the vast selection of mice on Amazon I was a little overwhelmed, especially being a gamer (I thought of maybe getting a gaming mouse), I found many different types of mice with a wide array of special features. What it finally came down to for me was this, I wanted a simple mouse that I could hook up to my laptop and use it without worrying about drivers or special software, and if I lost it for some reason it would be inexpensive to replace. I came upon this model and after a short time I put in the order to purchase one and am very satisfied with the performance and reliability. Definitely worth every penny (Not that it is that much to begin with =D)

Positives: Tracks fine on smooth surface (formica). Cursor control fine. Thin flexible cord doesnt impede mouse movement. Negatives: On my Mac (OS 10.13.4), does NOT scroll horizontally, contrary to the decription under "Highlights" in the "From the manufacturer" section on this page. Nor do I find a zoom feature. Shame! The scrolling is way too jerky, causing you to lose track of where you were reading because things jump too rapidly. But two things helped with this: 1) adjusting the scroll speed to slow and 2) the great hack in the 4.20.18 review by Jones, in which you remove the single screw on the bottom, then remove the scroll wheel pin. I took out both pins--the ones to the left and right of the wheel (the wheel lifts right out, making this easier). No clicks now. Smoother scrolling, still slightly jerky but functional.

I had a Logitech M100 Corded Mouse for about 4 years and really loved that thing. It finally wore out, so I needed to replace it. I prefer a corded mouse for my laptop, so I bought this new Logitech B100 Corded Mouse to replace it. Interestingly, the mouse I received was also a Logitech M100 Corded Mouse, not the B100 Corded Mouse. Within 4 months of receiving my new mouse, it has started to fail. Clicking sometimes does not respond. Scroll wheel hitches up and has started getting loud. This is what my dear old Logitech M100 Corded Mouse did, but only after 4 years of long, hard, every day use! This new one is failing within 4 months! So, now I need to buy another new mouse already, but Ill be looking for a better quality model this time.
