Yikes! I have had one of these for years!! It was time to purchase another one and I was so excited to fine this on Amazon. The Belkin I previously had was very soft and and never created a pressure spot. I dont know why so many of these are made of hard foam, anything hard will create a pressure point! So, I ordered this one and the foam is not near as soft as my other one. It also seems as if there is crinkly plastic in the wrist pad area and anytime I move my hand it makes a crinkling noise. Very annoying! I guess I will take my old one out of retirement until I can find a better one! I would love for the seller to share what and why there is crinkle paper inside the pad!! Weird!

Do not buy this. Ive had an excellent Belkin gel wrist pad for years, but it was getting worn down so I ordered a new one. I saw some negative reviews, but thought that perhaps Belkin had fixed the problem. NO! This stiff pad absolutely has no gel in it -- it is so old and stiff that it actually crinkles when I rest my wrist on it! If there was any gel, it has disintegrated into a stiffness that is no longer gel. Im not looking for a crinkly mouse pad! Also the pad is hardly puffy at all and even has an indentation in the middle, such as my years-old real gel pad has developed. But this looks new, just stiff and as un-gel-like as you can get. Im returning it as defective. If I could post an audio of the crinkle sounds, I would.

It didnt take long to stop liking this pad. I mean I gave it an honest chance, but in less than 2 weeks the wrist support was the main culprit in it becoming a nuisance rather than a useful aid. Specifically, the "gel" padding, which I just learned from another reviewer who cut it open, isnt actually gel, but rather its foam. Now maybe this is the reason for it feeling more like a stiff neoprene pad and in my case, encouraging wrist discomfort rather than relieving it. On a positive note and the reason for the second star is that the mouse tracks very well and the pad is big. In summary, it might be good for others and so be it, but Im done using it.

NOT GOOD! Item was exactly the size and composition as described. The feel is as good as almost any wrist pad that I have ever used. However, the chemical smell is beyond TERRIBLE! It is too bad to even use the item. I let it air out for a few days and the smell was just as bad. I let it air out for over FOUR MONTHS. The smell was just as bad. It caused me to cough and have breathing problems. I would NOT recommend this product at all. Even if you could stand the chemicals, how would you know it was good for you. Or your kids or co-workers. Since I have had it for so long, I will just throw it away. The product is not usable.

This was supposed to be a Gel Wrist Pad. What was delivered was some sort of Memory Foam Wrist Pad. PROS: 1) It works, it supports my wrists. CONS: 1) It is not as comfortable. The feel is not as gently springy as any of my previous gel wrist pads, even the previous Belkin. 2) The construction is odd in that there is some sort of crinkly material in the base and a pocket of air trapped in between that the rubber base that cause the Wrist Pad to be of all thing, "noisy" as I type. 3) Did I mention the smell? My nose is not sensitive to most smells, except cigarette smoke, skunk and whatever is emanating from this thing. If you have ever bought a memory foam mattress you will know the smell. And we will see if it fades after a couple days of airing out. Its supposed to be unobtrusive, invisibly saving me from carpal tunnel or other repetitive stress injuries. What I got is a noisy, smelly, less comfortable, annoyance. To hit all the major senses the darn thing should have had a horrible image imprinted on it to offend the visual. The purchase has already left a bad taste in my mouth.

I ordered ths mouse pad with wrist rest to replace my old one. The gel in the old one was getting compressed and pad was wearing out. This pad is a nice size with plenty of room to move the mouse around. The bottom of the pad is rubber so that it grips the desk and does not slide around. The top surface of the mouse pad has a smooth surface to allow the mouse to move around easily. The wrist rest is a nice size and has an indentation to cradle your wrist or end of palm which is really nice. However the material inside is not very soft, with no give when you rest your wrist upon it. I am a large guy, not dainty wrists here, so the material is pretty stiff. It also makes a crunchy sound kind of like styro foam or plastic sheeting. Overall I am not happy with the product and find my old worn out pad more comfortable and forgiving. The problem is this mouse pad comes in blister packaging, so you have to cut it apart to remove the item, therefore leaving you unable to return it.

Why I bought this product: I needed better wrist support for while I am at work. I do a lot of computer work and use my mouse a lot. What I really like: I like this color blue, it looks very classic. My co-worker was jealous when I brought it in since hers is black lol… It provides EXCELLENT support for my wrist. I am very happy with the noticeable difference from this mouse pad to when I didn’t have any support. The price is great for this mouse pad. I hope it lasts a while. What I really do not like: No dislikes, but I have only been using this mouse pad for about 1 month. If it gets gross or worn down, I will update the amount of time it took to do so. Packaging: My item was shipped right away, and I received prompt notification. I received it on time and it came as expected. Thank you for reading my review, please let me know if you found this to be helpful. I like to know that it is worth my time to write these reviews. Have a great day! I rely on reviews to help me make a decision when shopping online. I do keep my posts updated if the item breaks or exceeds my expectations for an extended time.

Purchased this to replace an older Belkin WaveRest Gel Mouse Pad. Those that have purchased these recently will have noticed that Belkin has changed the Wrist-Rest from Gel to Foam. This change is not reflected in the product details. My entire hand began hurting within days of using this product. There is a definite lack of cushioning due to the stiffness and non-conforming nature of the foam, compared to the older Gel models. Seriously disappointed with Belkin over this change and not updating the product information. I would recommend you do not buy this and instead purchase a mouse pad with an actual Gel rest.

I give it five stars for comfort, but I removed stars because of the smell. When it first came out of the package, and for about 2 weeks after, it had a really nasty musty smell. It was so bad that my coworkers were complaining of the smell. Even after all this time it still has a very strong scent, but now you have to actually be on top of it to smell it, instead of across the room. Now, for the good. It is soft but firm ... I know, that sound stupid. Its firm enough to offer support, but soft enough to do so without pressure points, but not so soft that your arm just sinks into it. The material is smooth enough that your arm can glide across it easily, but not so slick that youre sliding all over it. The bottom is a nice anti-slide material, so when you put it where you want it it doesnt keep sliding away, but yet its not so grippy that you cant easily reposition it. There are a lot of good things going for this wrist rest. Its just that horrible smell. If they can figure out how to make it without that horrible smell itd be perfect.

I bought a mechanical keyboard for home after reading all the hype and deciding it might be for me. But what I didnt realize is that it is night and day compared to regular keyboards such that I hounded my work to get me one for the office since ostensibly I spend more hours per day computing on my office workstation than my personal machine at home. So despite the nice keyboard I bought for home came with a somewhat awkward looking, but otherwise quite functional wrist rest, the slightly cheaper unit purchased for me at the office lacked a wrist rest altogether. Enter this inexpensive Belkin wrist rest that after only a few days using it I can say that it is the perfect feel for me. Soft, but literally simultaneously stiff. Its soft enough I cant feel it like the hard wrist rest included with my more premium keyboard at home, but not so soft as to feel my wrist or hands sinking into it. To be honest the best way to describe it is, I almost dont even feel it. But it made a HUGE measurable difference in typing feel. When I initially got my mechanical keyboard for the office, I almost started to regret it because while the keys felt the same as the unit I have at home, lacking the built in wrist rest that both my home keyboard and prior office keyboard had, started to make typing on the new keyboard quite uncomfortable. This has COMPLETELY relieved that and is actually even better than the rigid wrist rest my home keyboard has, which is better than nothing I suppose. Now I know that I need a wrist rest on any highly used keyboard I get. And for the price, Id almost rather just keep getting more of these since it feels so nice compared to the sometimes not worth the extra cost builtin wrist rests that come with some keyboards.
