[Updated] I mentioned that this keyboards design is incredible: lightweight and ergonomic (it doesnt take up much space despite being a full-size keyboard and the keys are so low that my fingers arent straining to hit the keys at all). Although the keys are rather flat, theyre actually quite springy to type on. I had some problems with the first keyboard I got (key sensitivity issues), and Artecks service team was quick to reach out to me about it. The issue was covered by the warranty and I received a replacement keyboard in two days (wow!). Im pleased to say that the replacement is MUCH better; it doesnt have any of the issues I encountered with the previous keyboard. At the risk of sounding like an endorsement, I gotta give my thanks to Arteck and their service team for their hard work.

I am a professional graphic designer and photographer with a strong background in IT using more keyboards than I can count. I am in the studio all day long working on numerous computers. THIS keyboard is seriously amazing! Specifically for the price! I initially set out to find a keyboard that had more of a laptop feel as the keys *click differently and seem to activate quicker. 90% of my shopping is online, reading reviews such as this so I rarely get to test a product before delivery. With that said...here is what i think: I LOVE the feel of this! Each key is exactly where it should be. Every key press has a softer click but I wouldnt say is silent. The backside is the brushed metal which gives it the sturdy and professional feel. it is VERY lightweight, but the grips on the back keep it from sliding around on a flat surface. There is no palm rest so I have just pushed the board up a couple inches. Nothing to complain about there. It comes almost fully charged and uses the provided USB cable to recharge. Which I think is AWESOME because there is no reason to buy and replace batteries. It is incredibly responsive and just a joy to work on. I have purchased MANY keyboards. This replaced the bulky gaming keyboard that was just too much work to use. i prefer the short X keys over the mechanical ones any day! Ill DEFINITELY be purchasing another for the other machine!

EDIT 2** The recement item cane free of charge, as customer service offered. The new keyboard does seem to have any of the issues the first one did. That being the case, I have changed this review from a 3 to a 5. Great product and exceptional customer service. ** EDIT 1**: After leaving this review, Arteck customer service contacted me, unsolicited, regarding my concerns. They offered to send a replacement They were very friendly and fast and offered to replace the item at no cost, including shipping. I have updated this review from a 3 to a 4 simply for the GREAT customer service. I will update when the new products arrives and I am able to review. ** If you are a relatively fast typer than the keyboard will mis stokes. Especially on double leter strokes. I am typing this on my keyboard now, and not corecting ay of the erors that it causes. Especially on double leter strokes. The keybard looks great. I really like the fel of the keycaps and it is not too loud. It des get frustrating though, having to go back and corect wods that were typed correctly.

Easy to setup, just plug the usb dongle in and turn on. So far I LOVE it. It is my ideal resistance/feedback for a keyboard. I came to write this review just so I could have a chance to type more! Its a lot slimmer and more lightweight than I thought it would be, very slick. The back is polished stainless steel so while it feels very thin and lightweight its still super ridged and doesnt flex very much while the keys are being pushed. When I ordered it I thought I was just getting an ok replacement keyboard for my ageing HP keyboard, but I was pleasantly surprised right out of the box with the quality of it. Hopefully it holds up for a while and the battery life is decent. Comes with a USB charging cord so we will see. Otherwise great keyboard, especially for the price!

I bought this keyboard to use with my work laptop. The fact that its rechargeable is a huge reason for purchasing this specific keyboard. My previously employer provided me with a MacBook Pro and a wireless apple keyboard, so when I my new employer gave me a windows machine with a wired Dell keyboard, I came to Amazon. I was looking for a keyboard that was similar to the Apple keyboard that I had been using. While this isnt quite the same, its pretty close. You can use the keyboard while its recharging (they provided a charging cable). The keyboard is very light and minimal (which I was looking for). I did have issues with the initial keyboard that I received. It seemed like the G key was less responsive than the other keys, so I reached out to the seller. The seller provided excellent customer service. They promptly remedied the issues by sending me a replacement. The replacement seems to work as I would expect. I can definitely recommend this keyboard. If for some reason you do have issues, the seller seems to really stand behind their product.

Edit: removing three stars and cautioning buyers. I still really like the way the keyboard feels, but am having trouble typing on it because the "t" key often does not register when I hit it. At first I thought it might be an issue with the position of the dongle, very near the dongle used for my mouse. But I moved the dongle right next to the keyboard and the problem persists. You never really notice how many times "t" appears in the English language until you cant type it reliably. Like a lot of people, I became very accustomed to using an Apple keyboard and have been looking for a very long time for a keyboard with similar typing feel when I have to use a Windows machine. Im not looking any more - this is it. The keys are slightly more slick, but I am absolutely overjoyed with the typing experience on this keyboard. I would have paid twice as much for it if I had been able to try it first. I wish it had come bundled with a mouse so I dont need more than one dongle for my laptop, but I predict many hours of productive typing on it. I cannot speak to durability, as Ive only had it a week or so, but I can definitely recommend it.

Let me start off by saying that I really wanted to like this product. It is a super slim wireless keyboard that doesn’t run off of interchangeable batteries but a mini USB plug charges the internal battery. It was really everything that I was looking for when I bought this. We use laptops at work that we move around throughout the day to different dock stations. The issue with changing different docks throughout the day is the computer seems to take forever to recognize the wired keyboard and mouse that are plugged into the dock so I wanted to cut the cords! Initially, unboxing the product at home I was very impressed with the looks. This thing is light and I mean light! It is extremely thin and felt very natural to “type” on just sitting at my table (it wasn’t charged or in use, I was just pretending to type getting a feel for the keys). I was very excited to take it to work so I charged it up Sunday night to be ready Monday morning. I really like that the keyboard doesnt utilize AA or AAA batteries but instead uses an included mini USB cable to charge its internal battery. Once the small USB dongle was plugged into the laptop the keyboard paired very quickly. I love all the function key shortcuts at the top. The keyboard is super thin and light and moves with my laptop very easily. Hopefully the keyboard is equally impressive turned on and in use as it is off and sitting on the desk looking sleek and cool. Unfortunately the keyboard is not as impressive once in use. The major issue are the keys, they do not register on screen when pushed about half the time. Most keys work as they should and register the character on screen when pushed but there are a few in particular that do not. At all. You take for granted how good a keyboard is until you use one that doesnt work like it should. If you are a touch-typist this keyboard will drive you absolutely insane!!!! I work in a setting where I type a lot of what people say as they talk, very close to dictating their words. After typing for minutes on end every other word is missing letters and misspelled. The problem is with the very poor copy of Apples butterfly keys (which Im not a huge fan of even though I own a newer MBP that has these keys). They just dont register as pushed unless youre pushing in the dead center of the key and really push them hard. If your finger lands anywhere off perfect center it will not register on screen as pushed. Look at the pictures I uploaded for an example. In the one photo where my finger is pushing the key ALL THE WAY DOWN but on the edge of the key, it is not registering on screen at all! The next photo shows me pushing less hard but in the middle of the key and it registered as pushed. This is the case with almost all of the keys and you can never predict which key stroke won’t register. It is absolutely unacceptable and makes it completely unusable for anyone to type fast and accurate. I emailed the seller about the problem and they said they would send me a replacement free of charge and not to return the current keyboard. The replacement keyboard took about two weeks to come. Two long agonizing frustrating weeks! In the mean time I continued to get jealous compliments on the looks of the keyboard from coworkers. The seller said they would personally try out the replacement keyboard before shipping to me. This was evident as the box appeared to be gently opened, the normally sealed bag was opened, and the USB dongle was out of its little bag. Hopefully they tested the product and this means it works better than the last one. Nope. Not at all. The replacement keyboard had exactly the same issues as the first one with different keys being the problem this time around. The most notably frustrating key was the backspace key because when the other keys would mess up and I needed to backspace to correct the error, it would not even backspace!! The other issue with this replacement is that the actual keyboard is warped! From the left end all the way down to the right side up front at the thinnest point the plastic is warped so that the far left and far right feet were ever so slightly lifted off the desk. It is more noticeable on the right side by the number keys and the whole right side shakes and bounces when you push the keys. I couldnt take it more than one day and emailed the seller immediately. Being so fed up with two keyboards and all the time that this took going through the returns I asked for a refund and not another keyboard. The nice thing is the seller did refund my money rather quickly. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product based on my personal experience. Others seem to have rated this keyboard with high marks so maybe my two keyboards were a fluke, but I dont think so. I ultimately went to Best Buy and walked out with an HP wireless keyboard for the same price that has zero issues. Although it does not have the slim wow factor or the nice function shortcut keys at the top. When it comes down to every day use, I could not use this product at all and am much happier with my Best Buy replacement. Now I have two unusable keyboards and don’t know what to do with them.

This could easily be a five star rating if they made only one change, IT SHOULD BE BACKLIT!!!!! Why oh why, in this day and age is this keyboard NOT backlit??? IF they made this keyboard backlit, I would pay three times the price for it!!! This product is almost perfect. It has great build quality, the chiclet style keys are easy to type on, and well spaced. They did a nice job of making the rear stainless steel, so it has great rigidity, and the design looks beautiful. It is thin, yet strong, has all the functions I could want, and even has a normal number pad. When you throw in the price, it is ALMOST the perfect keyboard. BUT ITS NOT BACKLIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY? Every forum I have visited in the last five years, most of the people are complaining because nobody makes a 2.4ghz wireless, thin chiclet style keyboard, which has a normal number pad and is backlit. It just doesnt exist. And this company got sooooo close, but inevitably just had to leave out one of the most important options... Its a shame. I love everything else about this keyboard, and would like to give it a higher rating, but Im so disappointed that they dont offer it with backlighting, that I cant go beyond three stars. Please Arteck, make this exact keyboard with backlighting. UPDATE: I will say that the company was kind enough to send me a free wireless keyboard and mouse. And they have been prompt in their correspondence. They are very hands on to try to make up for the shortcomings of the original keyboard I purchased.

Easy installation, took 2 mins or less. I absolute love the feel of the keyboard. Great warranty. Casing is really nice, lower on front edge, higher on back, no flip up/down legs (which I hate). Just got it yesterday so cant comment on battery life or durability. Pkg contains usb plug in cord to charge, other wifi ones Ive had needed batteries to replace. Charging cord and reviews on product were the reasons I chose this keyboard to purchase. I also like the placement of insert/delete keys too.

PROS: The Artek 2.4G wireless keyboard is a great looking keyboard. Full length, with F1-F12 keys and a numpad, all in sleek, chiclet keys. Its super light. It doesnt require external batteries and lasts: I charged it once in August 18 when I first bought it, havent charged it since. CONS: But it doesnt do what it is supposed to, on a consistent basis: register keystrokes. It happens at the most random times. Itll just appear to hang, with letters slowly appearing, me trying to backspace, and the text cursor catching up and flying left and right as letters appear and backspace, over and over. Its simple: Its a great looking keyboard. But I just need something that works. -- EDIT 12/28/18 -- Im adding an edit (and a star) because the Artek customer service team has been very proactive about making things right for me, which I believe is a valuable thing. They offered a replacement keyboard for free, without having to return the one I purchased. I didnt take them up on this offer, as I ended up buying a completely different replacement (mechanical keyboard), but I did accept a refund.
