This product is advertised as "Small But Powerful】4K Ultra HD for visually home entertainment, perfect for home office, Internet surfing, watching movies, or simply browsing the web.", however it was unable to stream Amazon prime movies while doing no other tasks. The processor (1.9 GHz) and the RAM (4 GB) are far more powerful than most streaming sticks, but this product results in streams that are stuttered, distorted and unwatchable. I speculate that the Windows 10 operating system requires so much processing power that it reduces the ability of this mini PC to do the most basic of tasks.

I bought it for my wife playing meditation deep sleep music from Youtube at night. The most important feature was me the fanless operation and the Windows for my wife (which cost me a lot of money compare to a simple Rasbberry Pi module:). If you know the limitation of the unit, it is a good selection. Its power is just enough to play Youtube videos, and not more. If you want a flawless operation of the Windows 10, you need some trick to slow down the continuous system update, or you need an additional SD card. It can drive native mode a 4K monitor or TV set over its HDMI output, but because of the limited CPU power it is advisable to use it only in Full HD mode. But basically it does what the manual say.

Having gone through a generation of mini-laptops with the Atom processors running W7, I knew pretty much what to expect. I needed a PC for my workbench that would have limited uses (in-system programming interfaces, document lookup, the occasional video/microscope shot), so Im not expecting to write the Great American Novel or run CFD simulations. Out of the box it configured just fine and I was off and running. I used a $7 HDMI/VGA adapter to use it on my old monitor and the image quality at 1200 x 800 is great for stills/video. This boots up a bit slowly and may take a while to perform system functions - it is what it is, but for everyday use its just fine and doesnt seem to suffer from any thermal issues. The only hazard is that it looks like a coaster and I may put my coffee on it to keep it warm (and you know what happens next...). As an offhand test, it plays music and videos from online with no apparent lag using the built in WiFi and prints to our wireless networked computers without complaint. -->> Heres a useful tip - go to O & O software (I think Amazon wont let you post URLs, but you can search it) and pick up these two free apps: "O&O Shut Up 10" and "O&O Appbuster". The first of these will get rid of Microsofts constant user-data monitoring and silence useless stuff like Cortana. The second will allow you to uninstall most of the bloatware that these things ship with (unless you *really* like CandyCrush or something). These will open up a good deal of disk space. I use them in all of my W10 machines. After using these and with my apps, Firefox/Chrome and a few others, Im at 14GB left of the 28 GB available, and have put a 32GB card in the slot so this is good to go for the foreseeable future. The only weirdness so far is the MS "Edge" (alleged) browser that shipped with it would open, then disappear - weird - so I called up Internet Explorer 11 from the menu bar and used that to download and install useful browsers from there.

I bought this as a light work/entertainment station for web browsing, writing, and watching streaming video. It does each of those things well enough, but god help you if you want to do two at once. Playing Youtube in-browser absolutely destroys this PCs ability to do anything else. Switching tabs while a video is playing leads to a pause of up to a minute. Netflix is slightly better, but not much. Trying to load a page on Amazon, with the mouse-over pictures, takes a minute or so even with nothing playing, while other PCs on the same internet connection load instantly. Sometimes it takes up to 3 minutes to wake up from sleep mode, as well, which can be infuriating. I strongly recommend getting one with 4GB of RAM, they only cost about $20 more, and usually have more USB ports. Also, streaming and browsing together makes this thing HOT. I ended up sticking an old aluminum CPU heat sink to it (no fan) with thermal paste and sticky-tack, and putting it up on little felt feet to allow air to get underneath it, which solved that problem, though its a lot less portable, now. Ill be retiring this to work solely as a TV controller and buying one with more RAM, probably an ACEPC T11. Edit: Came back and knocked off another star because the bluetooth (which I use to connect to my mouse) keeps shutting off randomly, requiring a reboot to fix. May just return this thing. Edit 2: One of the two USB ports just failed. Bad performance is one thing, failing hardware is another. Down to one star.

If you keep in mind what this Mini PC is, and dont expect it to be more powerful, it will serve you well. This is a small PC designed for smaller tasks, and not to replace a full blown desktop, or powerful laptop. If you plan on gaming or doing anything that requires high end processing you will just be disappointed and frustrated, however, if you are looking for something small that will take care of routine tasks or some just basic computing like surfing the internet or streaming it will do just fine. I like the idea of a Mini PC like this to take care of some small background tasks that you dont need a lot of horsepower for. Being in the tech industry I could think of a lot of things that this could be used for like running small admin tasks like a print server, file server (with additional attached storage of course - either USB or Micro SD), or polling type utilities like keep-alive checks on internal servers. This machine comes with Windows 10 Home, and when I first booted it up it felt just like any other Windows 10 machine I just got, with maybe just a little slower boot time. The setup was like any other typical Windows 10 machine. 2 GB of memory with a 32 GB drive is what I would recommend as the base for any Windows 10 machine. I like that it had Wifi (2.4Ghz - wish it had 5Ghz) built in as well as the Ethernet port. With the 2 USB ports (1x2.0 1x3.0) it is also nice that they included Bluetooth (4.0) so you dont need to use the limited USB ports for a keyboard or mouse. HDMI with support for 4K video output is nice, although I am not sure how much 4K video this machine could handle. While this machine wont become a replacement PC for most people, I do believe it can support a niche user group, you just need to decide if it has enough horsepower for what you want to do so it will not leave you frustrated.

Install Flash Player I go through the unboxing in the video while the spec sheet can be seen in the image with this review. I bought the 4GB version of the mini PC mostly to access the internet and do work over the cloud. So far it has been running great and hasnt given me any problems. I was also able to get Bash for Windows on this thing for my programming needs in addition to code editors like VSCode. I also performed some benchmark scores, which show decent performance. However, I wont look at those considering my use. In the future, I plan on installing Linux on to it and use it as a server for my websites. I will update this review if I encounter any problems.

Works Fine It was easy to set up and works very well with Windows 10. It is by far the fastest browsing and start up I have ever experienced.

I did not expect a mini PC to play heavy video and games given the configuration especially 2GB Memory, so I set it up as a home cloud server. pros: 1. comes with win 10 pro 2. runs quiet and no noise 3. 32GB Hardrive and 2GB Memory is OK to run win 10 which surprised me 4. comes with 1 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0 port, one can share USB portable hardrive, one can share printer 5. works with dropbox sync 6. come with built-in wireless module and can provide appr. 300Mpbs bandwidth 7. really light and portable!!! cons: 1. CPU easily reach 100% usage 2. ethernet port provides 100Mpbs only, which is lower than wireless

Update June 2019: received replacement unit quickly from supplier and has been working fine for the last month, zero issues. Supplier said it was an update unit. Looks good! Thanks! ≠======= I don’t get it. I bought this dec 2018 as a backup cpu. Just started using it 2 weeks ago as I now got a nice 9” 4K compact monitor. Everything was working great. Suddenly while copying a file, the screen froze with a weird scrambled look. It did get hot like a phone would but figured that’s normal, it’s basically a phone.. Rebooted and now it doesn’t boot. Blue power led comes on, but I get a blank screen, no bios whosoever. It’s unusable at this point. Waste of cash, unreliable, not recommend. Have maybe 3hrs or true running time. Very unhappy about this Considering the price.
