I purchased this unit 2 months ago to replace an older Dell XPS. This machine meets all my expectations. The SSD permits virtually instant boot up. By the time the monitor is "warmed up" Windows 10 is ready to accept your password. The external build quality of the unit appears to be excellent. I have had no occasion to inspect the internal workings of the unit. The front panel is sleek and black, with ports positioned for easy access. The only issue I have is that the front panel is so sleek and smooth, that it is difficult to locate the USB ports and the DVD eject button. The unit sits on the floor, which means I usually depend on touch and feel to locate the port that I need. My use of the machine is limited to business productivity software like Word, Excel, Acrobat and Quicken. Loading these from the SSD ensure virtually instantaneous startup. I do not pretend to be qualified to judge the more technical specifications, but I do know what works for me. This works. I would recommend to any purchaser. I visited the Dell website, but decided to purchase here because of the much faster shipping time. This is an excellent choice both for businss and home/office users. You will be happy with this purchase.

Im sorry I tried to buy this fantastic computer from Amazon by way of a third-party re-seller. The computer simply did not turn on. I learned my lesson to buy it directly from Dell. And what a great experience that has been! I used their chat feature and the live help was knowledgeable in every way, and I could even securely buy the customized system right from the chat.

I am 100% satisfied with this computer for the following reasons: Unit has super fast boot up - less than 22 seconds - and instantanious response when opening programs. I mainly attribute this to Dells Solid State Drive. I would never buy a computer without one again. Quiet - computer sits on my desk and I have to concentrate to hear any sound from it at all. An abundance of i/o ports - usb, etc. The installed Dell Update program checks for software updates. I have had several so far including a BIOS update and all went smoothly. I do not do gaming so cannot comment on that aspect of performance. Bottom line am totally pleased with this Dell unit and would purchase again without hesistation.

If you want a tower/platform, you already place versatility over mobility. I intend to use this vehicle for voice transcription, for quantum physics modeling, for video transforms. Such uses that may entail GPU not just CPU. And I dont intend it to last for more than 5 years. But that is a long time in gauge theory!

This machine is fast, has plenty of RAM and storage, and is very compact. The USB 3.1 ports work great. The video looks great. From what I have read, the video is not fast enough for the most demanding games, but Im not a gamer, so that doesnt matter to me.

Switched from Apple to PC, and I was very happy with the performance-to-price ratio. Highly recommended for graphic designers and video creation.

if you are considering a dell computer "STOP" My unit, a high line PCXPS 8930, at a cost of almost $2000.00 totally crashed . The crash was a result of me allowing a Dell tech to remotely access by computer (after I had reported numerous issues) and when he finished his "repair" we booted up to a black screen. Now Dell cannot repair my unit (its under warranty) and they refuse to either allow me to return it for a refund or replace the box. The customer service is very poor...consider a different brand
