Bought this to replace a 9 year old Dell that was running Windows Vista, so it was time. I hesitated to get only a Core 2 Duo, since there are other faster ones, but after reading some of the reviews, and knowing that I only need to do basic web surfing, Facebook, word processing, spreadsheets and emails, I thought "how bad can it be for $103". I am so pleased with it. Took it out of the box, read the "READ THIS FIRST" sheet inside the box, hooked it up and turned it on. Registered the Windows 10 software and was up and running in about 20 minutes. This computer is SCREAMING FAST compared to the old one and I havent had a single problem with it. Blair Technologies seems like a great seller and I had very fast shipping. I highly recommend this computer.

This product arrived after three days of standard shipping, and I wasnt sure what to expect for a computer I just bought for around 90 bucks. Heres what I got: A computer-sized cardboard box. A Dell computer, as advertised, packed neatly within said box. A power cable. Two sheets of paper detailing warranty information and some information re: Blair Technology Group. A bunch of black foam packing rectangles. The computer itself is in excellent shape and arrived with a USB Wi-Fi adapter plugged into the back. Considering this model is most likely a retired office computer, Im not surprised it doesnt have a Wi-Fi chip plugged into the motherboard. It wouldve relied solely on an ethernet cable in its previous life. This doesnt bother me, personally, and the USB receiver I got is pretty fast! The cable reaches far enough for most applications. There are some feet on the side of the case, so you can stand it up or lay it down. After backing up files from my old machine, I plugged this thing in and it started right up - very quick! The setup process was much faster than I had anticipated - I couldnt take coffee breaks in between screens before the next thing was ready to go. A nice touch Ive noticed is that the username on this computer was actually already set to my name. Checking the system tab revealed the specs are all as promised - except the hard drive I got is actually 256GB instead of 160GB. Cant complain about that! This computer is now my daily driver and I also use it for indie game development. Downloading Android Studio and updating the SDK is something that took hours on my old machine - getting it set up on this took less than thirty minutes, so the hard drive and USB Wi-Fi adapter are both exceptional performers. The hardware on this machine is pretty decent and could certainly be used for light gaming if youre into retro or indie titles. It cant run Forza 7 or anything super intensive, but Hyper Light Drifter, Iconoclasts and Saving Princess 1 and 2 all run with no hiccups whatsoever. Half-Life 2 runs great on this, too, so youre not too limited, just realize you wont be running Crysis on max settings. I read almost all of the 100+ reviews on this computer and I was sketched out at first, and noticed a few users claimed issues with their Windows 10 product key being no good. Fortunately I didnt run into that, Windows recognized my account and everything is syncd up with no issues. Overall Im very pleased with this, to say the least. What you get for $90-100 is a PC that runs Windows 10 with some respectable specs. If it burns my house down, you can expect me to be back here amending this with an angry rant on my smartphone, but for now, it was an excellent choice.

It was back in the box two hours after opening it and on its way back to Amazon. The USB ports in the front were not only non-functional but one of them was mashed in with the plastic blade broken and pins bent, like someone forced a USB device in the wrong way and tried to strong-arm it. The product description says: "This Certified Refurbished product is tested and certified to look and work like new. The refurbishing process includes functionality testing, basic cleaning, inspection, and repackaging" Even basic inspection and testing should have picked up on completely broken USB ports. I went to the warranty links provided with the system to see if I could replace it directly and discovered I would need to pay the return shipping to even have them look at it, which would cost nearly half the price of the system. Thankfully, as a Prime member, I was able to return it immediately. I would say "you get what you pay for" but I paid for a computer that was "tested and certified to look and work like new" and was anything but.

Exactly what I was told that I would get! Was it the greatest computer ever built? No. Was it an very very good computer for a very very low price? Yes. Yes it was. I got it as a Christmas present for my mom. I fits all of her computer needs; streams video just fine, smooth and quiet functioning, nothing bad. Wifi, wireless printing, noisiness, slow boot up and command response time were my worries. Not problems on any of those fronts. It is a more than adequate computer for someone who isnt gaming their way through the internet or doing 100,000 things at once. It works properly and came with everything that it was supposed at an extremely reasonable price, and that is what I wanted. Enough said.

This computer replaced a similar one that I had used almost constantly for many years. I was impressed by how carefully it was packaged and how easy it was to set up. The only problem I had with it was that the little USB WiFi gadget didnt work. I had the one from the old system and plugged it in and it worked fine. I like that an icon has been provided on my desktop that will allow me, should the need arise, to reset the operating system back to the way it was when I received it. Ive used it for a couple of months now, and am pleased with it. .

I wrote my previous review when I first received my computer. I did not truly use it for a while afterward, as it was a present for my Mother. Once we plugged it in, we found out that the description was a TOTAL LIE! This is how they put the description - " Dell OptiPlex, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.9GHz E7500 Processor, 4GB Memory, 160GB Hard Drive, DVD, Windows 10 Home, WiFi (Certified Refurbished)." The REALITY is that there is NO Windows 10!!! I would have been happy with Windows 1 at this point! It said that the Windows 7 that was installed into it was BOOTLEG!! I could not download anything! And finally, it said there was NO operating system. They LIED and sold me a useless computer that I am going to have to spend God knows how much so that I can use it!! THANKS FOR NOTHING LIARS!!

My 7 year old Acer died and I needed a replacement. I was leery of the low price and specs of this computer but only needed a desktop for limited applications and printing. I read the previous reviews and thought I would take a chance...mistake! Received and unboxed the computer and hooked it up. It got to the point where it was ready to connect with the wireless and shut itself down. Rebooted and the display was scrambled, then it shut off again. This happened twice. I unplugged it and rebooted again and got an "Alert! Previous shutdown due to thermal event" message. Thermal event? This computer was supposed to be refurbished and I would assume that these things would have been checked prior to shipment. It wound up back in the box and going back by UPS for a refund less than an hour after it arrived.

I bought this computer exactly 4 months ago. I really thought it was great. Easy to set up, worked perfectly..... for only 4 months. Today i started it up and it said hard drive not recognized. Messed with it for several hours and nothing changed. Just keeps saying hard drive is not installed. I did see that the hard drive was 8 years old, so i guess i shouldnt be surprised. Be very careful when you get a refurbished unit, its probably way older than you think. If you do get one, Id try to choose a seller that gives a one year warranty. My seller was Blair, I wouldnt buy another one from them.

Came With Extras and had more storage than expected. Smooth. Smelled so Good that i opened the case and smelled everything. No Dust. Looks like it came from the factory. Well packaged. Highly Recommend. Also comes with keyboard in mouse. Doesnt say in description but it does. No Bluetooth tho :(. But it is wireless which is good. Personally Best of its Class.

Great machine. It exceeded my expectations. Arrived in good order and ready to run right out of the box. UPDATE: Since receiving it, I have added a new video card, an external drive, and beefed up the RAM. Most folks probably do not go into the case to tinker, but I bought this largely for that reason. I also wanted to see how I liked Windows 10 (I’m a Mac user). I can say that it was clearly fully refurbished and cared for. The machine is older, but the inside was spotless and clearly well-maintained / renewed. I currently have it running with two displays, and it’s a great machine to play with, and have the kids use.
