This computer has to be the slowest computer I’ve ever owned. I’m beyond disappointed with it.

Ive been interested in an all-in-one for some time. It seems you get much more bang for your buck. Since quickly looking up things or checking social media has been a task I complete on my phone, Ive wondered if I really need my computer to be mobile (aka a laptop). This all-in-one has confirmed that I do not! Pros: -GORGEOUS. The design of this thing is stunning. The display is stunning. The white and gold color scheme is stunning. -KEYBOARD AND MOUSE. The Keyboard and Mouse ARE included. I couldnt find anywhere on the product page that actually stated that, so Ill start there. Both keyboard and mouse are fantastic. The keyboard is so much nicer than a laptop or tablet keyboard. -FAST. This computer is powerful and fast. This was apparent as soon as I fired it up and started loading it with hundreds of GBs of files, downloading/installing several applications I use, and uninstalling some of the bloatwear that came with it. I did not expect the computer to handle all of these tasks as well as it did. The computer never froze, and while certainly these tasks took some time, it was all reasonable. A few seconds here, a few seconds there, but never staring at the wheel for 10+ seconds and never clicking on something and wondering/waiting for the computer to respond. -TOUCH SCREEN. At first I didnt think having a touchscreen on an all in one would be that great. But it is. Every other device we use is touchscreen so it has become natural to want to touch. Also if you wanted this computer on your counter or something you could put away the mouse and keyboard and use just the touch for most basic tasks. Finally the windows 10 shortcuts are nice. -WEB CAM HIDDEN. The fact that the webcam is hidden until you "pop" it out is really nice. What percentage of the time do we use the webcam? 1%? Nice that the other 99% of the time I dont have to tape something over it, I just "pop" it down. -PRICE. $700 is reasonable. Compare this to laptops or other all-in-ones and it is priced competitively. -SPEAKERS. The sound quality is very high. It is a very full sound, even has good base. It is not incredibly loud, I would say it is plenty loud enough though. -SPECS. I would just say if you are not a computer person or dont know if "Intel i3-8GB Memory- 1 TB SATA HD-IntelR HD Graphics 620" is good or not. It is good. It is not a Ferrari. It is like an Acura. Put another way, if you dont know if the specs are good, they are most than good enough for anything you could want to use this computer for. If you are doing some heavy gaming than okay maybe you would want a little bit more. But for the rest of us that is a ton of harddrive space (1TB) plenty of ram (8gb you can go up to 16gb) and a fast and powerful processor (7th Gen i3) Cons: -WINDOWS 10. Simply put, it is the slowest operating system out there. Even though this machine is powerful and fast, there are still plenty of times when you click to open something, and your waiting a few seconds. This isnt always the case. There are times when responsiveness is instant. But there are too many times when it is not (compared to Apple or Chromebooks). -BLOATWARE. The computer came with a lot of garbage and games pre-installed. Fortunately with Windows 10 it is super easy to uninstall. Literally you just right click, uninstall. -NO USB DRIVE ON THE SIDE. When you want to plug in a usb drive you will have to plug it in to the very back of the computer. And then the location of the ports is great if you have cords you want to hide (directly behind the mount) but not so great if you want to quickly and easily plug in or unplug a USB drive. I would have thought there would be a side port but there is not. -NO CD DRIVE. This is common on a lot of laptops and all-in-ones but as someone that does still get a few occasional audio cds it is annoying that I cannot "rip" them to my computer.

Ive gotta be honest with you. I am a Mac guy. Given a choice, I will always pick a Macintosh computer. However, there are times when I am forced to use a Windows-driven machine. I have used such machines as far back as version 3 during the eighties. I found fault with each and every version, even the so-called stable Windows-98. Now, though, Dell and Microsoft have put together a fine machine. Cortana helped ease me through set-up, and, frankly, with the Intel Core 13 7th generation chip and the touch-screen monitor, running Windows 10, I can see myself finally being satisfied with what my brother always teased me was a real computer. Of course, I wont fully buy in to that argument until I put this baby through the paces. Still, for now, I am pleased enough with what I am finding that I am rating this at five stars out of five. I believe that is a first for me, in regards to a Windows machine.

This is a very nice All-in-One PC by Dell. The only downside to this computer is that it is slow due to the 1TB 5400rpm hard drive that is included. I wish it had an SSD drive instead because it would be much faster. Luckily I looked at the service manual on Dells website and access to the hard drive is very easy. Just remove the back cover and it is right there. So the hard drive could be upgraded easily and relatively inexpensively. Everything else on this PC is great. The Intel i3-7130U CPU and 8GB of RAM are adequate for the majority of use cases. If you want more memory, this computer can handle 32GB of RAM, and it is also easily upgradeable by simply removing the back cover. The display and sound for this PC are both excellent. The monitor is touchscreen, which is a nice bonus. You can even set this PC up to be a giant 24" tablet if you want! You most likely will not need external speakers unless you really like a high end audio experience. The keyboard and mouse are both excellent...both have a great tactile feel and are wirelessly connected to the PC. I like that Dell didnt skimp, and actually included the batteries for both the mouse and the keyboard. There are plenty of ports on the backside of this PC (1 x HDMI, 4 x USB, 1 x LAN, 1 x Headphone). This PC can also attach to your network via Wifi. I really like that this PC installed very easily, and didnt have a lot of junk software on it. It is very clean and ready for you to load your stuff on it. Uninstalling McAfee took 30 minutes, though, mostly due to poor hard drive performance. In short, this is a high quality PC by Dell with a very attractive appearance, a slim form factor that only weighs about 10lbs, and very high quality components. Gone are the days of needing a tower next to your monitor. Dell has figured out a way to pack it all into a very small package. I think this PC is a real value when you consider similar products from Apple cost $300 more for a model that has a much smaller screen. Just wish they didnt skimp on the hard drive... Having used this PC for a couple of months now, I can recommend it without reservation and would even buy this PC in the future for other needs.
