I bought this mini PC to serve as the core of my multimedia center and it exceeded my expectation – that is why I call it a “super-duper” one. The operation system -Window 10 (home edition) is preinstalled fully. It takes about a little over 10 minutes for the first set up and the set up process to make operational is straightforward. I skip the step to create a Microsoft account (I don’t why I need that). I tested the WIFI speed and it reaches the par of my service provider (100Mbps). It played the Youtube 4K video without any buffering issue – this is awesome since my old TV top box that has 4 GB memory sometimes had the disgusting buffering circles on and off. This gadget has Intel Gemini Lake Pentium silver N5000 chip with 8 GB memory and 128 GB storage, fast and ample enough to run 4K video stream without any hiccups. The peripheral outputs are well designed for the multimedia purpose. It has 2 HDMI outputs – currently, I only used one HDMI port to connect an HDTV. If your HDTV is hooked up with a surrounding sounds system like mine, don’t forget to select the sound card setting in the pc to match its 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound output. The mini PC box has 4 USB-3 (blue) slots that I used two already, one for remote keyboard and one for a remote mouse with no compatibility problems. I also played photo slide from the micro SD card (FYI, I used a 64gb Samsung micro SD card). Final notice: If I have to find an imperfection part on this machine, I would like to point out an inconvenience in design, I have to push the start button at the back of the tiny box and the power-on indicator is in the front of the box. The first time was confusing since I pushed a few times without seeing the button lit up. However, once you figure it out, you get used to it. Overall, I do not hesitate to rate Beelink Germini N50 mini PC a 5 rating.

Im updating my review (for the 2nd time) now that Ive had nearly 2 months of actual user time with this mini pc. Ive knocked it down to 3 stars because it simply does not handle 4k resolutions very well, and thats the main reason I bought it. It is simply under powered (memory, graphics card and processor) when it comes to streaming in 4K. When I change the settings from 4k to 1080p resolution it is very competent in all aspects. Luckily I can stream most of my content directly through the apps on my 4k TV but Im now wishing I would have "bitten the bullet" and upgraded to a more powerful desktop or laptop with a faster processor, more memory and a more powerful graphics card. If viewing 4k content is not your top priority then I think this mini pc will fit your needs nicely. Ive got a really nice Asus desktop that is still serving me well (i7 processor, Windows 7, 16GB DDR3, nVidia GT620 with 2GB dedicated, two 1TB internal HDDs, etc.), but its showing its age as the GT620 cant handle 4k resolutions. I dropped cable TV last year and stream everything and I just bought my first 4k TV. I realized I was going to have to shell out some more money to upgrade the graphics card or buy a new pc. I was looking at budget towers and laptops and the Beeline mini pcs came up and I was intrigued. The N41 seemed like a perfect solution as I can have it as a dedicated device for my new TV and also have a backup in case the old Asus finally kicks the bucket (its 7 years old). The N41 was delivered yesterday and setup was a breeze. Some have complained about the slow Windows update but it only took about 15 minutes from start to finish for me (I have a 200Mbps download connection for reference). After the updates Windows 10 is "only" taking up 21GB of space on the SSD so theres plenty of room and everything is running pretty quickly. I would have given this 5 stars but I took 1/2 star away for the "user manual" which was pretty useless and just showed the same diagrams that are in the description of this page. There was no mention of what the max capacity is for SD card expansion (found out its 128GB). I also took 1/2 star away for the smell. I do realize that its not that uncommon for a new device like this to give off a smell as it breaks in but its pretty strong. If it dissipates within a few days Ill come back and update and bump this up to 5 stars. Likewise if the strong smell persists I will update as well. Im sure some of it has to do with the size and the fact that it gets pretty warm, but I wont be too happy if it doesnt improve significantly as Im sitting 10 feet away from it for several hours a day. ***Edited to bump this up to 5 stars. Ive been using the N41 for 3 days now and the smell is no longer an issue. I can still smell it a little when Im pushing it hard but I think the smell was mostly just from "breaking in". So far I have an external 5TB HDD hooked up via USB (with its own external power supply) and wireless keyboard and mouse. Ive got a 128GB SD card and a HDMI 2.2 cable coming as all of my current HDMI cables are ancient. I havent had time to watch much 4K content yet, but I did watch a couple of short 4K YouTube videos to test it out and it did a great job with them. I still think they need to up improve their user manual to give more tech specs and upgrade capabilities, but that is a very minor complaint and overall I am very pleased with how well this little box performs. I thought I was just going to use it for 4K streaming and as a backup to my Asus, but so far Im finding that it would work just fine as a home desktop replacement for my needs (not a hardcore gamer).

I bought this unit mainly for entertainment (audio/video) streaming and internet browsing... So far has been performing excellently for the intended task ans the small size and footprint are a boon as it doesnt catch your eye... Unit was easy to setup. Beware however that this unit needs space to ventilate the heat it produces, i.e. dont stash it between books, DVD cases, or very cramped spaces or it will overheat... Havent had a failure because of the overheating but it sure cant be good.

Every day this would freeze and had to be restarted (removing power cable). Not even power button would work to turn this off. Sometimes two or three times each day. Contacted seller/support and they were even worse than no help at all. Restored to factory more times than I could count. Even ran STOCK for days without any other software installed. Still had same issue. I would not recommend this device. Returned.

Im pretty impressed with how small and stylish this Beelink N41 is. I was expecting plastic, not brushed aluminum with metal trim that are very well put together into a solid unit. Ill give Beelink points for that. Set up was simple and quick. This came with a power cord that might be a bit on the short side (about 5 ft) for some people, but it was just long enough for my work area. It also came with a choice of two lengths of HDMI cables. Ones only about 8 inches; clearly only long enough for if you decide to mount the N41 to the back of the monitor with the provided mounting bracket. The others two feet long,; just long enough for the N41 to sit comfortably on the desk next to the monitor, which is the set up I went with. My monitor is a 1080p 27-inch model, so I have no way to test the N41s claim of handling 4K resolution, but it did just fine with 1080p. Bootup is quick enough for me; it only took about five seconds to reach the login screen. Windows 10 was easily set up, and it only took about thirty minutes to download and install all the latest updates for the OS so far. I also appreciate the fact the OS came completely bloatware-free. That means it came with only the necessary apps and drivers to keep everything clean with no extra software other manufacturers would preinstall for their own benefit (Im looking at you, Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.) I replaced a crappy old Chromebox with this, and even though it isnt very powerful, it still performed great. I had a week to enjoy this unit, and I came away impressed. I can tell its Celeron processor isnt as fast as my laptops Core i7, but its still doing a great job keeping up with my usual workload. I only noticed a slight slowdown a couple times over the last week. It handled streaming and resource-heavy websites just fine in my opinion. Its wifi is fast enough, and its Bluetooth worked just great with my portable speaker and headphones. It also has plenty of connectivity options with Ethernet, two HDMI ports, four USB ports, and a SDCH card slot for extra storage. Its only been a week, but for $250, this is a great deal if you happen to have a monitor sitting around and want a simple desktop PC for your desk instead of a laptop. If you dont want a big computer tower taking up space, have no plan to do major gaming, and only need something to browse internet, watch videos, and do basic office work, this is worth a try.

I previously purchased a BeeLink M1 Apollo Lake N3450, which worked fine other than it required serious management of storage space to successfully run the Windows 10 feature upgrade 1803. The 64GB eMMC drive barely has enough free space to do regular updates. All previous versions of Windows need to be removed via the Windows disk cleaning utility to gain enough space to even perform regular updates. In contrast, the N41 Gemini Lake N4100 has plenty of resources to easily run Windows 10 feature upgrades (6GB vs 4GB of main memory and 128GB of M.2 SSD storage vs 64GB of eMMC storage). I use these little PCs on my network to host large external disk drives for storage of photos and video. The M1 has run without problem for over six months. My new N41 was just activated several days ago, but is working perfectly. The only issue was that it took over 5 hours to install the 1803 feature upgrade, but this was probably more a function of 1803 feature upgrade needing a really powerful machine to load quickly, which these Celerons are not.

First of all the m.2 ssd description is a lie. It’s emmc like the pictures state. The only reason I chose this one over all of the other options was because it said it had an ssd. Secondly I saw that another person reviewed this a few days after I bought mine and I wholeheartedly agree with their review. This thing was a waste of money. It just doesn’t work. Every time I turn it off and back on the system can’t find my boot drive. I have to reinstall the OS EVERY SINGLE DAY. It also won’t boot to bios half the time and won’t shut off without being unplugged. I ended up just installing Linux and it’s the same exact problems. I am so over this piece of crap. Returning first chance I get.

So far, I love this thing. I bought it for my husband for Valentines Day to stream to his UHD tv. The TV has a built in browser, but we find it limiting. Since he does not enjoy the tech stuff, I took the Beelink out of the box this morning to get it set up, as some of the reviews said updating Windows might take a while. Hooked up an old monitor and mouse and t was up and running without a hitch. Im going to try connecting it to the TV with the HDMI cable and set up the bluetooth keyboard and mouse later to make sure everything will be ready on Thursday. If it works as well as I think it will, my husband is going to love it too

I received the MINIPC on Saturday. Connected and setup on Sunday afternoon. PC powered off and would not turn back on Sunday night. Power supply was good. The MiniPC itself was broken. Returned and ordered the same one. Hopefully this one lasts longer than 6 hours.
