I ordered this computer not exactly expecting such a great machine. I purchased it for the lack of size, good content of abilities & low price. I was not expecting this much. I am most impressed with what I have been encountering in its abilities, so far. It took a bit for it to upgrade, but, the wait was worth it. It may only offer 6gb/64gb, but one has the ability to flip a switch and add a blank SATA. Im sure it was covered in the product description, but, just after I had it upgraded, not only did I find myself very impressed, I also found myself ordering a 1tb 2.5 SATA drive.

Install Flash Player I originally tried a VPS service however it didnt quite work as I expected. I wanted to Live Stream on Twitch 24/7 and it was lagging. So I bought this mini PC and I can assure you it could take live streaming really well. The fan installed in this unit is not that intrusive I can barely hear it at night. I just wish I could upgrade the RAM to 8GB but that would be beyond my price point.

Install Flash Player My wifes laptop broke over the summer. Two of my children used it for school work. We tried a tablet with a keyboard, but it crashed often. Then over the holidays I saw this micro PC and, sitting well below the $200 price mark (my top budget), I decided to give it a try. My first impression was how light and tiny the device is. Very generous with USB (4) and HDMI (2) slots. Also very quiet. As I explain in the video demo, at first you will need to configure Windows 10 settings and updates. But once that is done, you are good to go. The machine is very quiet. Once of the first things I did, soon after I did the demo video, is inserting a 32 GB SD card, out of 2 cards I bought over the holidays. Internal memory storage us only 30 GB and a raw Win 10 (with no updates) alone takes about half of that space. The card is to save any files, apps, downloads. As for those downloads from Win 10 updates, you will want to erase the download folder contents in the Windows/Software Distribution master folder. So, the key is to use internal space as little as possible and to only have those apps you use the most installed. My 11 year old daughter is doing school catch-up homework on the PC as we speak. It connects well to wifi and it is a fast and very portable device. Only con is you need to buy a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse, but luckily I had spare items for all those. Quick correction on what I mentioned on the video: it did not come with a TF card; I meant to say I was happy it came with a TF card slot. I had to provide my own card, which is no big deal. Very impressed overall.

I wanted to put a computer in my garage for surfing the internet and minor work. I dont want a big PC nor I want to spend over $1K for a PC. Ive search around Amazon and found this Apce Mini PC and I am quite impressed with it. Its small enough that I can just put it behind the monitor or anywhere I want. Its measurement for the mini PC is roughly 3x5 inch. This is the 4GB 32GB version and does include Windows 10pro. I had no trouble (other than finding I need to hold down the power button to get it to boot and finding a tiny blue LED on top) and the from-scratch WIndows install routine ran cleanly. This is NOT a speedy unit but completes fine. System info also shows it is registered with Microsoft. For now Im hardwired ethernet into my switch, using a wired mouse and wireless keyboard I had. I then configured remote desktop on the unit, edited its name and connected to it from my primary desktop machine on my lan. Checking the Wifi, it does see my 2.4 and 5ghz networks as expected. There are few instructions but clean professional looking quick guide and box. Overall I would recommend this Acepe Mini PC.

It has great performance and is easy to set up. After connected with my spare monitor, I can watch youtube and browse website. Quantity of picture and sound is good than I expected. Highly recommend it as a music and video streaming box. It works well for basic data processing, small and convenient to travel with and significantly reduces footprint on computer desk. All in all ,thats a great product, It deserves to be recommended!

I am not a big fun for computer don’t have a lot of knowledge for them. I just need one for fun. My friend recommended this brand mini pc for me. For less than 200 Dallas I made a purchase to try it out! When I received I couldn’t believe how small it is. As soon as I got it, I connect with my television. Use my wireless mouse to play around. Wow, started so fast. Working so smooth and very little noise. But so adorable. Now it is like my new toy. I use it for shopping, watching movies, playing games. It is small but powerful and portable. Sometimes I carry it to my parents house to do my own thing! This is my first mini pc. It is really impressive!

Install Flash Player I have a standard tower pc and labtop. I wanted the use and form factor of desktop but also be small enough to carry around in my backpack or suitcase. This is where this comes in. You still need to have a keyboard and mouse. I would recommend and wireless keyboard abd mose or a wireless keyboard with a trackpad. I like the use of a regular mouse for designing. It has windows 10 our of the box and it didnt come with much software which I liked. No program to slow it down and I can just add what I need. Multiple usb ports, sd cars slot and hdmi. I have it hooked up to my big screen tv now and it looks sharp. I sont think you can up grade ram so buy the bigger one if you need. No complaints so far.

The initial delivery was dead on arrival, would not power up. The seller confirmed it was dead and Amazon shipped a new unit the same day I reported it defective, I received it the same day it was shipped, Great service from both the seller and Amazon (5 star service from them alone). In comparison to my previous Windows 10 mini PC which was an Intel i3 4030 chip running at 1900 MHz, speed of 1.96 GHz with 8 Gig of RAM. The ACEPC GK1 runs rings, speed wise, around the older unit. The ACEPC unit came pre-loaded with the latest version of Windows 10, no other bundled software came with it. Power on is very quick. Initial Windows 10 setup was easy, less than 30 minutes. The initial Microsoft System update consisted of about 6 updates, they downloaded and installed in less than 15 minutes. My older system would have probably taken 45 minutes for the same task. The unit configured easily to my home WIFI, monitor and Bluetooth keyboard/mouse. In general, I am very please with the ACEPC GK1 thus far. I will followup with more information if I find anything worth passing on, after I load it up with more apps. This is a very powerful little PC for the cost, impressive thus far. It looks classy with the recessed/reflected blue lighting.

Install Flash Player I wanted to set up a mini-pc with all of my external hard drives and large flash drives that I use to backup my other computers so that I have one place to manage all of my backups. This pc came with Windows 10 loaded and was simple to turn on and set up. All I had to do was plug in a USB keyboard and mouse to complete the setup since you can’t use a wireless keyboard and mouse until its set up. Most mini media players are Android, but I wanted a pc that could run all of my Windows programs. The ACEPC mini-PC came with 64GB RAM and I plugged a 2.5 hard drive into the built in compartment to have plenty of built in storage. It has 4 USB ports for external drives and devices and a micro-SD slot. It also has a 4K hdmi output that worked great with my TV. The PC seems fast, and I am able to open up multiple windows at once to move files around and browse the internet while that runs in the background. This was exactly what I was looking for to manage my drives but it would also work great as a media server for my TV.

You may be wondering why I have a headline that says "get it" but I rated four stars. Well, here goes. The first one was open box and the factory seal was cut. Not knowing what may have been done to it or if any problems occurred with the first person to use it, I sent it back. About a week later I decided to purchase again and the new one showed up new and sealed in the box. Startup takes a bit the first time as youre setting up Windows 10 Home, but overall it didnt take very long. The 64gb eMMC drive is soldered to the motherboard and is not upgradable. This is what the computer runs on, and its honestly a faster PC than what I was expecting. ZERO bloatware as other reviewers indicated, which is refreshing. If you are gifting this to your elderly family member to surf the web, watch YouTube and write emails, its fine as is. The 6gb of ram onboard really shine. My primary use is to play movies from external hard drives at 1080p and stream from online... it does all of that without a hitch, but pay attention to the settings it defaults with. I changed the refresh rate from 59 to 75 Hz and it really helped the picture, brightness and clarity. To get every last bit of performance out of it, I dropped in a spare 250gb 2.5" ssd hard drive and installed a fresh copy of windows 10 onto it. Updating all the drivers took a bit and didnt go flawlessly the first time. I had an issue with getting sound out of the hdmi cable to my 43" Samsung TV, but eventually updating drivers and messing with default audio settings fixed that. Windows troubleshooting tools will tell you to disable sound enhancements to try and fix the issue, which is a waste of time. Setting up the new ssd drive as the boot drive is fairly painless. My advice is if you go the ssd route, go ahead and wipe the eMMC drive of the factory OS. That sounds foolish but hear me out... Both on the ACEPC website and MS website you can download a clean copy of Windows 10 and install to a USB hard drive. So, no need to preserve the eMMCs factory data as its super easy to replace. The BENEFIT of doing this is there is only one OS by default so no time is wasted on picking between two copies of Windows 10 (mine showed up as Windows 10, drive 1 [the eMMCs copy] and windows 10, drive 5 [the 2.5" ssd]). One thing I noticed is the fan spins up to audible levels with a 2.5" ssd drive installed a little more often that without. With a movie playing its still not really noticeable, but is when Im doing a windows update. The plan later is to build a NAS and move my movies to that one device with raid backup. In the meantime, this PC will just play movies from a local drive. In the long term I can see having a few of these throughout the house all connected to my NAS so media can stream wherever I want without getting a bunch of large external hard drives. The AK2 is not, I repeat NOT A GAMING PC and it never will be. Ignore the posts about loading this game or that game and getting crap frame rates and what have you... thats not what its for. Not even close. This is a small PC that makes a good desktop replacement. Its tiny and travels well, and turns any TV or projector into a media powerhouse. It draws very little power compared to even a modest economy desktop PC you buy in a big box store... like 15 watts or so. Its very efficient and quiet, and connectivity is awesome. Two USB 3.0 ports is plenty for my external hard drives and more than enough 2.0 ports for a mouse, keyboard and wireless keyboard. Onboard wifi connection is awesome...no issues there. Ive tried wired and wireless and both rock. So because of the trouble with the first computer, minor trouble with getting audio to work right and installing a new ssd running a clean windows 10 to really make it run efficiently and unlock its true potential, I deducted 1 star. Its honestly more like 4.5 stars if I could give it that. The ACEPC AK2 is a product where its not where you start that counts, but where you end up after some upgrading. So far I love the performance, cost vs. value and ease of use. It really is (for me) the perfect htpc and Im very happy with it. If it doesnt last in the long run or gives me trouble streaming from a NAS, Ill update this review. If you found this helpful, click on the helpful button. Thanks!
