This is a great lens. Took it to Hawaii and carried it around all day (actually 7 days in total). I thought it would be heavy to cart around but to be honest I didnt even notice. By the way I am 71. Good lens, fast 2.8F, fast focus and great pictures. Highly recommend

VERY comparable to the Canon 70-200. Autofocus is quick, and photos are sharp. Theres a 50/50 chance youll need to calibrate this lens when you get it. Thought it was missing my focus when I first got it, but a quick calibration gave me amazing results. Image stabilization is very forgiving, just make sure you use the correct mode for what youre doing.

Love the performance of this lens for such a reasonable price in comparison to competition. Great ability to focus up close. Made well. Only wish focus ring and zoom ring were reversed so focus ring cant be touched so easily when zooming.

Excellently sharp even wide open when paired with the Sony a6500 via the MC-11 or Metabones speed booster V. Bokeh rendering is smooth with a slight swirl towards the edges on FF. Zoom and focus rings are fairly smooth although theyre on the stiff side due to their resistance. Quite a fan of the all black finish but it does pick up finger prints from time to time.

Im currently an intermediate-level hobbyist, but I understand from my pro friends and reviews that this meets higher-tier requirements. Will update this review later, but I am immediately very happy with my first shoot. Went to the park and photographed this nasty crow who chowed down on a deceased squirrel and washed it down with pool water. Left out the squirrel for the sake of decency.

this is my second try on this lens, im keeping this one! the first one was soft on focusing, this one is sharp! i hope it will continue to work like this!

I bought this instead of the Canon version and I am very happy I did. I had the budget for both but in total honestly I didn’t want a giant white lens drawing attention when I am in public. Black is sleek and draws much less attention. Quality is top notch. I would highly recommend for portrait and street photographers.

I didnt expect such result from this lens. It is almost perfect - beautiful pictures, solid metal body. What I dont like - you cant reach focal length ring while the hood is attached. Also, one can turn on or off VC and Autofocus switches accidentally. Nevertheless, 5-stop stabilization works perfect.
