When not doing portraits, this lens stays on my Sony A7M3 all the time. I love the great DOF capabilities of this lens. Its great for handheld shots and gives you a light portrait out on the street. See the attached handheld shot as a sample. See the other reviews and buy this one; youll love it.

The quality of this lens is amazing! Its a little pricey but definitely worth it if youre looking for a lens to invest in and use long-term.

I like this focal length as it works for landscape wide angle and closer in subjects as well. I have shot a few hundred pics with it now, attached is one of the very first using the 28mm on the a7ii body. No filter or post. No downsides to the lens, maybe lacks the magic of zeiss or maybe not, but overall a great option for the Sony FE shooter and one of the most affordable. Im entirely happy with it. I will eventually put it up against the zeiss 24-70 and see if it holds its own as a prime, which is the only other way I see to go from here. Meanshile its a keeper for sure.

Love this lens. I use this lens for everything. I take amazing videos with this and my Sony A7ii. Also take portrait landscapes with this lens

Nice,sharp small lens. Love this. This is a better copy that one I had before. Glad I gave it another chance. Great price for a fast lens.Sony needs to make more like this for their full frame mirrorless cameras

Surprised that my $400 camera lens came in an envelope from Amazon Fulfillment Center. The lens box was unsealed, and had wear on the edges. Once I opened the box, I immediately saw that the lens end cap was off the lens, the crucial part of the expensive lens, and it did not work at all. It could not click on the lens. The front lens was smeared and dirty. Very Very disappointed for a product marketed as brand new!!! .

I rented this a few times before purchasing it. BEST purchase for the price. If youre getting into cinematography, this is a must have. The Zeiss 25mm is about 600 more, but not worth 600 more quality-wise.

This is a great value lens for landscape photography for the Sony alpha series of mirrorless cameras. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to build out a collection of lenses.

Amazons reviews led me to this lens, and I cant see myself putting another one on my sony a6000. Okay, so you only get the equivalent of 44mm because of the cropped sensor. Okay, its not a fancy f1.4. But the depth of field is so short at close distances that its already demands great precision with your focusing and the bokeh is gorgeous. Lets in tons of light that lets me get crisp photos at even VERY dark places, bonfires etc. Its light and short and simple with a big, smooth focus ring. Love it!
