Im SO happy with this lens, I cannot find words to explain. Its reasonably sharp, responsive, light and gives you great pictures. Its the ideal travel lens and, frankly, 24-105 is all you need in 90% of the time. Im not too fond of the boke at 105mm. Ive seen better. I fix this with PS when it gets too odd. This is the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. A bit unfair of me considering the other pluses of this lens. So, now I travel with my 18mm Batis and this lens. All you need, light bag.

I use this one with Sony A7 mark iii and let me tell you, folks, I cant be happier. The AF is fast, silent and precise. Its not perfect for macro but doable nonetheless. For travelling Id rather use f1.8 55mm due to small size and weight but other than that its awesome. Color rendition and punchness is spot on.

I really tried to love this lens, but in the end, I ended up returning it. I wanted a "travel" lens without having to take too many lens with me and this I thought was it. Im not a professional photographer but I have both the 24-70mm and 70-200mm 2.8 and needed something in the middle as theyre both fairly heavy. The pros are that this lens is lightweight compared to the other two, but it wasnt as sharp and kept hunting while focusing. That just frustrated me, so most of my photos came out not as I expected them to. Kind of a bummer since I was in a once in a lifetime location. Now I take my 24-70 with me and thats now my travel lens. For the price of this lens I expected more and was disappointed.

Great travel lense, though I still feel it is a little heavy but it’s really versatile. I was little worried about F4, however with build in image stabilizer plus A7M3 high ISO capability it’s never be a problem even for some indoor or night shot. Image quality is to me the same to 2470F2.8 GM but cheaper and lighter. Sharpness is fantastic and very close to Prime as well from my eye(I own 55/F1.8 and 28/F2, 24/F1.4 is on the way). I will take this for my next trip for sure. Recommend to all Sony full frame user.

Just got this lens and had a hard time finding reviews on this. This is a great “everyday” lens. I have this on my camera most of the time as it is a great range for most occasions. The lens is sharp, as you would expect from g series, and I notice very little barrel distortion, and what’s there is easily fixed in post. Overall great lens that I look forward to using a lot

For an "all around lens" this is the best lens Ive had. I had the FE 24-240 previously and this lens blows that one away. The color transfer, center sharpness are quite nice. I use this lens with my A7R3 and that combination is a nice combination of features. The A7R3 helps overcome the lens one shortcoming which is its an F4 versus some 2.8s out there but I find that turned out to be minor. Highly recommended if you are looking for a single lens you can take into almost any situation.

I absolutely love this lens. Honestly, I bought this lens kind of by mistake. (I thought I was buying the Sony lens that doesnt extend when zooming) I could not be happier with this purchase. The image is crystal clear. The stabilization is great. Its a little bit heavy, but I expected nothing less. I absolutely recommend this lens. Its so versatile!

I have a variety of great lenses from my Sony A7RII but I only wanted to take one lens on my trip to Italy. This lens performed flawlessly and provided consistently sharp images in all types of light. The 24-105 mm focal range and the constant F4 is a great combination. You wont regret purchasing this lens.
