This teleconverter has very little optical impact and only 1 stop loss when used with my FE 70-200 f2.8 GM lens. It does not affect focus performance or motion compensation and fits securely on both lens and camera (Sony a6300 & a6500). I pretty much just leave it attached to the lens now.
Doesnt seem to affect image quality or autofocus speed. Great companion to the Sony 100-400mm FE lens, giving added reach.
I’m really enjoying the extra reach this adds and I haven’t noticed a decrease in image quality. Alone it’s quite small and if you carry it around in the included padded case, it’s just about the same size as the 28mm f2. If you need just a little extra reach and can work with a little less light, this will do the job.
Works wonderfully with the Sony 100-400mm lens. I didnt notice any loss in sharpness. Good combination for taking pictures of Birds.

Got this to go with my Sony 100-400GM and it just stays on. The clarity is almost as good as the lens on its own. Couldnt be happier
